Decided to check out all the nerdy items at the Spirit Halloween store - Spongebob, GhostBusters, D&D, Halo, Bettlejuice etc etc. There was some pretty sweet things in there but the prices were pretty cray cray! Let me know in the comments what item you would have bought here!

As someone who worked for Spirit for 4 years, I can confirm it's always just been "Spirit Halloween". At least as of 10+ years ago.

The prices on some of those things is obnoxious considering how cheaply made most of it is, and how cheap it actually looks.
The ol' "get what you pay for," but it's the other way around. The animatronics definitely should not be priced the way they are, which makes me think the after Halloween sale "evens" the quality out. Although, they really did the Ghostbusters licensing right.
EDIT: I completely forgot about the tiny rubber Stay Puft's price tag. ugh
Yeah I feel like the store is made for day of or day after Halloween sales. Yeah I have no idea why that Stay Puft is $109.99 at the 8:30 mark? Is that a mistake!? Feels like it should say $39.99...
@@squidracerX It's actually $85 on their website. the $110 I found out was Canadian currency. Even still, besides being "Officially Licensed," there's nothing special about it. In comparison, the "zombie" babies are also foam/latex/same size, just without Ghostbusters attached to it.
But I digress, it's still fun to wander around the stores, considering if practically one of it's kind besides Party City's separate stores.
OK, I totally nerded out over the Dungeon Master costume. The Dungeons and Dragons cartoon was stuck in obscurity for so long.

I actually got to meet Michael Keaton many many years ago. Right after he did 'Batman' he was in a movie called 'Pacific Heights.'
I was a lowly extra but he was kind enough to take a pic with me!

Is that the one where he plays the villain? I haven't thought about that in forever... I remember him being rather scary.
I just popped into a Spirit yesterday, and I was really surprised; their stuff seems higher quality this year, and not as overpriced as in the past. Sadly, the store I went to didn't have any of their "fogging" animatronics filled, so thank you for capturing video of some of them in full working order (especially the soul-eating thing).
That Beetlejuice sign is awesome. Sadly they didn't have much in the way of Beetlejuice yet at the store I went to, but it looks like they were still receiving stock.
I also need to hunt down a set of the D&D Icingdeath and Twinkle swords now.
We get those stores popping up during Halloween in Toronto in buildings where the previous businesses shut down.
Same down here in south carolina.
I use to work for Spirits in Aventura MIAMI.... In 2006-2007. It was awesome setting up the store and going thru shipments...

I had a friend who said his uncle would buy up of bunch of discounted costumes after Halloween and just hold onto them until next Halloween so he could resell them at full price.

That store looked awesome. Loved the Elm Street and Camp Crystal Lake signs. The Freddy and Jason mugs looked good too. Wish we had something so big and varied over in the UK. I will just watch again and dream about owning them. Thanks for the amazing videos you do.

The Reaper sucking the soul was AWESOME as Hell and I thought the Zombie Babies sewed together end to end were pretty cool. Oh and I loved the Fiji Mermaid.

3:14 Soul sucker is the coolest thing for me. Did you ever see The Fly? I know horror is not your thing but it's more nasty than scary with a tragic love story.
The soul sucking effect was really impressive.
Yeah i feel like there are dozens of "types" of horror, genres within the genre... You could be into horror but like romantic vampire stories and watch Only Lovers Left Alive and Interview With A Vampire but hate Friday the 13th. it still counts. I love Evil Dead, Ive paid to have Bruce Campbell sign stuff - I hated the remake that was just torture porn.
If you like Jaws, Predator, Beetlejuice, and Gremlins - i think you can say you like horror.

Very neat episode, i've always enjoyed goin' to Spirit Halloween , so much cool stuff to look at. That's really great you were able to find exactly what you wanted to get, usually they sell out of the stuff i would want. I liked the items you got, but i really liked (& want) those four vintage styled -retro plastic classic monster masks of the Mummy, Frankenstein, WolfMan, & the Devil, they are awesome, thanx for showing items that you are'nt particularly interested in for us monster collectors (you did it just for us) we appreciate it. That is a great Spongebob episode, hilarious stuff. Keep up the good work, and stay safe. Bob.G
We have the spirit stores here. My sister, brother in law and nephew, go every year at least 2x to get stuff for their haunted garage they do every year. I love fall and winter!!!

That Beetlejuice sign is awesome! I didn't see it at my local Spirit in PHX. I'm a huge Ghostbusters fan so all those accessories are pretty sweet and I saw that quick pass by of the Karate Kid headband. That's great! All things considered your Spirit "of" Halloween is way more impressive than my local one!

Their were 2 items that grabbed my attention in the video - the soul taker fog animatronic & the "I shaved my ball for this ?" t-shirt. LoL ;) Thanx for the vid. I've actually been in these stores a few times with my son here in Ontario, Canada. Yes some things are overpriced but you're only young once. Might as well enjoy your childhood while you can.
I definitely dig the halo merch, and the 2-headed rat thing. Kind of reminded me of the alien from THE THING trying to absorb/copy its victim lol. Nice selection of stuff

I love the horror/kids/retro Tee Shirts. Like the one on the demon cat. On other videos, I've seen "Let's summon demons" or the "Let's sacrifice Toby!" Too Funny!

I really dug the Dungeons & Dragons socks, add the Dungeon Master costume was great as well. I live in New Orleans Louisiana, and the Spirit of Halloween stores near me are more or less the same as yours. Great haul, cool stuff.

That store is awesome. I loved going to Victoria as a kid! I grew up 70 km directly east of there. The dungeon at the wax museum gave me nightmares, but it was worth it.

Ahh, I love Halloween! Can't believe it's just around the corner! There are many Spirit Halloween stores in my area normally, at least 3-4 that I know of, and they have all these spooky decorations, which I love! but I haven't been to any of them just yet, and I'm afraid that because of covid, Halloween won't be celebrated as much as the other years, forget people disguised as scarecrows that scare the pants off of you when you try to get the candy, I think covid will be scarier at this time, (unless they find a vaccine before then). But those Ghostbusters outfits and accessories are ultra awesome!! Wish I had those when I was in high school! I disguised myself as a Ghostbuster and I made my own proton pack and wand out of cardboard, I looked pretty good! Thanks for showing us the store, Laura! Kisses and hugs! XXXOOO

Hello Laura legends we have had spirit Halloween around here (where I live in the state's) for a long time but it seems that yours has way better stuff with a better selection. Kinda jealous but happy for you at the same time.
Haven’t been to one yet this year but so far the Murch that you have in the Victoria store looks a lot like what we had in most of the stores in the DFW area in Texas during last year‘s Halloween season. I will check and see if we have one open but I’m not gonna get my hopes up because visiting one of the stores is always fun.
Oooh, next month is Halloween which is nice.

Thanks Laura. Only one Spirit H. In town and my son and I visit yearly. Some past hauls included Thor’s hammer,V for Vendetta costume, plastic weapons and chains and spooky spiders for the yard display. Hoping this Halloween will be kinda normal this year as long as everyone wears a mask.🤠
