How many stories have I seen (real and made up) where the bride and groom set rules for their wedding that everyone in the family didn't like, but still everyone (in the comments and in real life, when you hear such stories) said that since it's their wedding, they have the right to set the guest list however they want, for example, and if they don't want someone at their wedding, this person shouldn't be there. So the bride had the right not to want OP's daughter at this wedding and her mother should have adjusted to that. Even if Jasmine's reasons were stupid and driven by jealousy, she clearly set the rules for who she wanted and who she didn't want at her wedding. And she had every right to do so.
So it was actually OP who made a mistake to go to that wedding despite Jasmine's previous toxic behavior. Her husband shouldn't have been there either, if he was a best man then he supports his brother's marriage to a woman who insults his wife, his daughter and clearly something is wrong with her. That doesn't excuse Jasmine, her behavior was still completely wrong and she deserved to be punished, but OP was just as stupid.

They were specifically told it was ok after that by the groom, and they _didnt_ bring the baby to the wedding, the baby stayed in the hotel room and they went to watch her in shifts. Even if they had been asked not to bring the baby, the solution is exactly what they did, the bride had to leave her own wedding and go to their hotel room to even see their baby. Like, you can absolutely request not to have kids at your wedding, but you cant tell someone they cant even have their baby in their private hotel room thats unconnected to the wedding.
