At 16:06 we can see that sir flash created the first wave by creating the upward motion, and then descending his legs into the water, creating a very small wave of water, but that in turn creates a chain reaction that makes the crate go up a bit, and then down, then thanks to the game's physics, the upward and downward motion intensifies as we can see in exhibit A, thus creating more motion of the water getting stronger as the crate began acting like a resort wave machine.
