As a Muslim we have to ritual wash before prayer and we pray 5 times perday. So 5 times our hands, arm to elbow, rinse mouth, rinse inner nose, wipe face and wet beard, wipe head (also behind ear) and wash feet. So our beards get wet 5 to 6 times per day because it will also get wet when we shower. Ive been getting by on coconut oil and frequent combings because Im from a Caribbean decent my beard will nap up especially under my chin and neck. I wash my beard with soap 1 time per week, my general ingredient I use is coconut oil and frequent combing. Winter months are hard on my beard but warmer months its more manageable. One of the keys to for me is always using luke warm to cool water for everything. Hot showers are the worst thing for your beard. Cold to luke warm will help preserve the natrual oils in your beard. In any event, love the channel brother. Be well and stay safe man. God bless
One thing that I started doing recently that has improved my beard a lot is I stoped pickin it all the way through I run my pick til I catch the kinks and pull the rest of it with my hand and I only go all the way through my beard is with my fingers in the shower when I’m conditioning or washing it . From my experiments if you keep this up for a couple days your beard will form a permanent stiffness at the end making the hairs more ruly and keeps your beard formed and I never shed hair with this method
Thank you for this video.I'm a super on cleaning buildings and all and with all this covid-19 mess I wash my beard every day and at times it gets dry.I buy aloe vera gel and soap with aloe vera to soften and moisturize my beard as well as beard oil to maximize the moisture. My brother thank you again for the video and be safe all the time. This thing will pass soon.God bless you and family👊👊👊.
Great video and topic bro. I’m definitely washing the beard more often now. Safe than sorry type thang. Thanks for the shout out and you and the family stay safe 💯👊🏽🍻

Nice breakdown..i personally only wash my beard maybe 3 times a month max and cowash once or twice a week max ..both shock my beard so much it takes it alot to bounce back👊💯💪
At what length do you start buying applying the beard stuff like beard wash ,butter and balm, I am starting soon I plan on getting monoxidel and derma roller , and obviously some oils and tea tree oil. I have a clear face right now. Do you think I should buy these things keep it and when my beard gets to the appropriate length start using them , because I don’t think you can use these things directly on the skin like the balm or butter.
What up me brudda. Haven’t been on ya channel in a minute. So, I’m a construction worker. I’m pummeled with thick clouds of dust 5 days a week. That being said, should I wash it daily or, wash twice weekly but wipe with clean water daily?
@@BeardedExistence big bro I got one more question for you. I purchased the dermaroller for my beard because chemicals messed my beard up last year on my right side. I remember you telling me not to cut it all the way off so I am working on it an trying to get it to catch up. Do you have any experiences with using the dermaroller?
No they are formulated different regular conditioners will probably leave your beard more sticky and weighed down especially if you are going to add other products on top of that
@@BeardedExistence👊🏾 as a speaking point your next gem, what's your take on masks and beards in lue of covid ? I made my own which covers my entire face, similar in functionality like that face sleeve you got a while back.
Infinite Grey consider using a conditioner designed specifically for your beard. With that being said, what really helps bring my white/gray beard to life is using a beard butter. My morning routine is shower, towel dry to approximately 75-80% then apply oil. Wait at least 5 minutes for oils to completely soak in and then apply a butter. Look for a butter that doesn’t have a wax added, thus no build up and if you have curly hair you don’t need the wax anyway as it’s just not gonna hold. Best of luck!
I wash my beard twice per week my night time routine i apply my leave in then coconut oil then jamican black castor oil to lock everything in does that seem to be ok to do every night?
Ive noticed with all the oils i put in, my work shirts have a build up of oils in them. As a manager I have to wear a button up collard shirt. I wash my shirts all the time but the oils still build up and begin to smell. Any tips for me? Thank you
I have a question I just started a job working in a freezer. -20 degrees how should I prepare my beard if been washing my beard every day now cuz of what’s going on outside
Bearded Existence thank you for your help I also wanted to say someone that is a beard tuber just said use oil but I feel like the more it’s moisturize the better my beard would be
In the conditions you are working in you really need to lock that moisture in and use products to prevent against the cold. Try a balm but don’t over use it. Use the balm in the morning before work and an oil and butter with no beeswax at night before bed

So it's good to wash my beard daily now all I use is Hawaiian silky,100% African Shea butter and wild growth hair oil or black Jamaican castor oil
I wouldn’t say it’s good to but given the current situation and depending on the job you may have it’s better to be as safe as possible!👊🏾

man im tryna stop the itching 😩...feels like I got to put the beard balm and oil every 12 hours cuz I has such a dry coarse beard...or add water
Have you tried deep conditioning also are you applying beard oil to your skin also what products are you using
I was going through the same thing Bro, till I started using coconut oil. . Everyone is different yet coconut oil is definitely worth a try
Great information
Horace Henderson thanks fam👊🏾
What is the reason
Because of COVID-19 I wash or co-wash everyday. But I notice more frizz, dryness and the growth is stunted.
Yes watching everyday can dry your beard out but we have to stay healthy. Try deep conditioning mid week and see if it helps stay safe fam👊🏾

If your beard likes it and absorbs it but be careful using the coconut oil everyday could lead to buildup and also may leave your beard really shiny.
@@BeardedExistence thanks for the reply i appreciate it is it ok to be using a leave in every night or is that too much?
What about the beard products they sell at Walmart and Walgreens or Target??

Sounds like you are using too much oil it shouldn’t be transferring to your clothes.start to back it down National you find the right amount
Oxyclean your shirts. Soak them in oxyclean for 6-8 hours in hot water, throw them into the wash, and you're good to go.
