Any update done to playlist, mixer , piano roll, channel rack is considered to be a good update not the new synth.....i dont mind the chord generator i would like it to a bonus but that is not the one am most exited about.....i want things which we do regularly in a mixer or piano roll or playlist to be made as a command or drop down.......most of us use third party plugins and samples so for us it is more the daw becoming even more user friendly
amen brother. I switch between bitwig and fl studio these days and both daws has their pros and cons. workflow and quality of life is the only thing Im looking for in FL these days.
Especially if you are using samples you have to understand that even if you use a key detection program at one point in your track, it might not apply to all points in your song. If that is how you determine what 'key' you are in, for whatever reason, you should do it at the moment that you are about to work on and not just assume that what key it detects at one point will apply on that whole song. Even if your samples are all from the same song. Songs naturally change key often in well composed music.
I love carpet, I love desk, I love LAMP, I love LAMP. I also love how FL Studio is bridging the gap for songwriters, producers, audio engineers. I also totally love these Podcasts.
Those who talk down people using certain tools, DAWS, or lack of knowledge are the same ones not doing music for a living. They're bitter. The people I know who are doing this professionally couldn't care less. It's all about results. Learn at your own pace and remember these are all tools. And the tool is only as good as the person who wields it. 🤌🏿
The easiest way I find to get the relative major/minor would be to look at the “Circle of Fifths”. The relative major/minor is just the key that shares the same tones. For example, the relative minor for C major is A minor.
@@PALE1080 I thought that also worked but for some reason when I looked i thought some didn't fit that pattern (but I was wrong). So yea, that is far easier.
Finnaly switched to Cubase Pro now as per my needs.. fl still lacks many features and they just listening to their community i think.. therefore cubase can do anything and faster .. and studio one and reaper is also running further.. fl is only good for remixing and making beats.. with lots of synths and effects . .. their playlist also lacks many things..
The AI discussion is infected by gatekeepers, simple fact. The ones complaining are acting entitled. AI tools and other tools that simplify the workflow and drops the barrier to entry is AMAZING. I want everyone to enjoy the arts.
I use ableton (used to be a fl user years ago) but i still watch this show sometimes. You guys are such nice and warm people. And the community you have here in the comments seems wonderful too. Seems to be a rare thing on the internet
So far I havent seen an Analyze tool that can do quiiiite what it says on the tin. Especially these "Chord finding" sites and apps, populated almost ENTIRELY of songs that are dead wrong. Laughably so. FL doesn't have one that can, say, identify chords/scales in a solo piano piece (of mild complexity). Maybe this is The One. After that stem sep add-on, maybe...just maybe.
Writing chords isn't that difficult anyway. Why people get so buthurt about AI as if AI is going to come up with something new than no one have invented before. It's just a tool. I don't know if I would take advantage of it but it's good to know it's there. Only stupid people complain about technological advances. Why do you play synthesizer? Synthesizer is not real instrument. Everyone knows you should play accordion. It blows real air 😅
When I switched to the new version I can't get as many plug-ins to work before it gets lag. I still use Windows 10. Has anybody else experienced that? Maybe something else is to blame. I put in the Beta and then removed it and put in the newest version today and now even a few plug ins was making it run at like 98-100 percent when I usually could run 20+.
"I hate when people try to put other people down for not knowing something before they knew it." I love this! Same thing with developers and coding. Honestly, it's the same thing in really any industry. It's small minded neanderthal thinking. It's lazy people who don't want to learn new things or ways of thinking. Gatekeeper mentality. Unfortunately the system was established by these kinds of people. Instead of working with each other to accomplish a wonderful world where every single person can learn and thrive freely, they established a world where we compete against each other for wealth and power. Liked and subscribed. 👍
This is what is said in the manual about the analyze feature------Analyze - This runs a different AI analysis model which aims to find the best matching chord sequence for existing Piano roll notes. It is a deterministic model, so regenerating will have no effect while Piano roll notes remain the same.
Do you make beats and record in 44100 or 48000 hz? I keep going back and forth but i kinda wanna choose one and leave it lmao was wondering what your computer and daw is set to
I am actually hyped about the chord progession generator - it can help to learn music theory even way faster and easier. Even less excuses to start learning it ;3
This channel has been lighting up my YT feed like a lamp. Im not complaining though

The relative major are the exact same notes, just starting at a different tonic.
^^THIS. I wish people would just learn the basics, lots of these tools wouldn't be necessary...

I like the tall LAMP you have in the back of the room. Looking forward to the new version of FL with these updates.
I use a couple of other generators for ideas but would love to have it directly in the DAW. Also since it's stock, hopefully less CPU heavy.

Facts but even some who claim to be real producers hate on fl 😂
At the end of the day pro tools is industry standard and people will always argue what should be rather than what shouldn’t.
@@Apollo_Wtf Dumb argument and not productive, but you're right. People will argue 😂
New to your guys podcast, and loving it. Appreciate both of you guys. I love lamp ✌🏼

to find the relative major of a minor scale you just do +3 semitones from the root note, for relative minor do -3 semitones :) that's how i do it
@@PALE1080 I thought that also worked but for some reason when I looked i thought some didn't fit that pattern (but I was wrong). So yea, that is far easier.

Its a good update but massively overhyped. Spreader?! A standard tool in most DAWs. It’s non-destructive, yeah, it’s a plugin turn it off. 🙄

I asked myself after making all those dad jokes: What if all I had to do was comment "Lamp"?
Hopefully I can solve my best block with the new cord generator.
My lamp is on
Very disappointed with FL studio which until now has not included ARA Even lesser-known DAWs have included ARA
Man the ideas I'm getting from this are making my head light up like a lamp. 💡
