The Ti-Cats wore a one-game design for their Grey Cup win in 1967. It was their usual, at the time, yellow helmet with the white/black/white stripes; but the leaping tiger logo was superimposed over the Canadian Centennial Maple Leaf logo.
Gotta say I'm partial to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Edmonton Elks (Eskimos), both are excellent designs, and both are easily identifiable. No doubt about what the team name is. Well the E team IS a little subjective. All the American teams were so-so, the originals have their acts together. BTW, didn't the Montreal Alouettes have a different logo each week for at least one season, maybe two?
Prior to becoming the CFL, there were two leagues the Western Conference and The Big Four, they amalgamated into the one league. The Argos Native design was not rated.
Good info on the CFL history, I appreciate it! Yeah, there were 3 indigenous helmets I hadn’t seen yet when I made this video, Argos, Roughriders, and Allouettes; I mentioned them in my recap video: ruclips.net/video/7XMU6MW5MEg/видео.htmlsi=0WQkD5Ul5j2umqt9
I admit, it certainly made ranking the CFL helmets more complicated but I can’t argue with the intent behind it and the beauty of some of those indigenous designs.

Cool, I will have to look that one up! Thanks for letting me know.
I like the green that the roughriders have
I like it too, but I wish they would stayed with that classic S logo.

The Stampeders have always been my favorite. The Argos are second.

Interesting video. But the addition of indigenous elements often overcomplicate and thus bog down logos on the helmet.

It is not a "lioness" head, it is a mountain lion, also known as a cougar, which are plentiful in the BC interior.
Thanks for the heads up, that does help me understand the logo better.

Yep, that Stampeders helmet is undeniably classic and crisp. Thanks for the comment!
