While you are at Cumberland this year you need to go down to Dale Hollow and throw swimbaits on the flats! BIG BRONZEBACKS! I go there every late April and early May! Awesome fishing. Plus you are only 1 1/2 hours away!
It's about time you guys got on the "spot lock". I've been using it for 4 years now (Terrova) and never could figure out why the pros wouldn't use it especially when fishing ledges, current or any other situation that Power Poles won't touch.
I love my spot lock ! I use it in saltwater. From inshore to offshore. Its super pleasant while bottom fishing wrecks + reefs and even that much better when you hook a monster tarpon around structure and need to escape fast. No more anchor balls.

Smallmouth are so easy to catch here, from like 1-5s are like every other cast up here in the rivers! in one day during the good time we will catch like 10-20 fish over 6lbs! gotta love the great lakes
