Stunning rock formations and views! Very nice campground. This state park is on my radar for sure. Yes, I want to be away from the crowded sections too. Thanks for the information.👍
I 'm a new subscriber who just would like to say you do a great job showing what others don't or just gloss over. I love the scenic places you travel and how you travel slowly. cheers
Love the channel, Glenn! I camped at Arch Rock site #22 about 2 weeks after your stay. I had my eye on that site for a while and was lucky enough to book 2 nights. Within 5 minutes of pulling into camp, we found a baby rattle snake, which I believe may have been a sidewinder, not more than 2ft away from our water spigot! I left it alone, and 5 minutes later, it was gone!
Yes, it really is/was an amazing little gem. Although you are correct that there is an ever so slight slant to the tent pad. Almost unnoticeable, but I kept telling myself I felt it at night. Next time, I'll sleep with my head facing the opposite direction. Oh, and I'd be lying if I said that balancing rock formation didn't make me a little nervous 😬
Great video of a place I love. I stop there often when traveling from Buckeye to visit my daughter’s family in the SLC area. I was just there on May 25th. Taking a right out of the Visitor Center and heading up the steep grade towards Mouse’s Tank I had to stop at the steepest portion of that incline as there were 2 big horns on the road…….there ended up being a total of 14 I could count from my car…by far the most I’ve ever seen in one area. Like you, the Valley of Fire, is where I’ve seen the most of these amazing animals.
Beautiful place! You've inspired us to get back into camping! We really appreciate the tour of the campsites. We're near Kingman, and drove up to Valley of Fire yesterday, but Arch Rock campground was closed & blocked off. Thank you again for the tour😊
Curious! I wonder why it was blocked off. Temperatures, maybe?? Well, I hope you get a chance to camp there at some point. It's super worth it and unlike any other campground we've stayed at. 👍
@@CactusAtlas yes, I'm assuming it was the heat, but the Atlatl was open. Possibly bc Arch Rock doesn't have water? We reserved Arch Rock site 28 for 2 nites in late October - so excited! Thank you again for the tour of the campground.
I love our views here in Arizona, but that has to be one of the most picturesque places on Earth! You should have made a burger for the sheep. It's only fitting since they opened their house for you. 😂
Hey there. Not sure when you were there but funny enough I drove over to the Valley of Fire from visiting Las Vegas on a record setting hot day in Vegas to cool off last Friday lol. I was sad a couple of the good trails were closed up for maintenance I guess. I love those cabins actually and was there on Friday pretty cool work they did building those. I did make it too one mile walk overlook despite the heat warnings lol. You ever go to the petrified wood pieces they have blocked off in a couple place. I mean it’s nice they are protected but makes you appreciate the petrified forest here in Arizona. In any case quite beautiful and as always appreciate your posts. Thank u
Glenn visited in early May so before the heat made it out there. 😅 We have a number of older videos from a previous trip out there showing the different areas, including the petrified wood. And yes, it definitely makes one realize what a gem we have here in this state in comparison.
Fantastic place - great video Glenn! Thank you for the wonderful segments. Maybe I'll make it there someday. For now, I travel vicariously with your videos. Thank you!
Love the Valley of Fire camp grounds. I’ve never seen anything like them. Thanks so much so posting. Just curious…Do they have rattlesnake warnings or scorpions there? Love your camp tours and descriptions. That scenic drive was epic. -Jana 😊👍🏻
Just beautiful! What type of camera are you using? As stated below, those big horn sheep photographed beautifully….. thought I could almost touch them thru the tv! Thanks😊
Thanks for the pronunciation... "At-latl" not "Atl-atl" ... I've been saying wrong 😅Stayed at site #18 in the Arch campground a couple months ago. After seeing site #22 I booked another reservation for later this year - can't wait!
hello Glen, new subscriber here, new to you tube. finally got rid of cable. bought the same coleman tent you have, just last month. can it be used in moab area in early November? trying to drive across country from florida.
Great tour of a beautiful landscape ! Seeing the bighorn sheep is a bonus but I think my dog would lose it if he saw them. Much appreciated having the campsite selections. Same as you, I’d rather not be near people so have made notes.
Psst! I saw you Slim. Sitting there with a forlorn and abandoned look on your face. Try to stay cheerful. I know it was rough. I'd be down myself if i had to stay,
Epic campground... Were hoping to maybe visit the park next spring🤞... That short gravel scenic drive was a huge bonus for our itinerary.. I've never seen any information about that road at all and I've watched a ton of videos of the park... AWSOME FIND

No problem! Always happy to help others have a great time and visit with info. 😄
What a great place to visit. Love the rock formations. I agree, very special. Thanks for letting me tag along. Hi Amy.
Glad you enjoyed it! There's more cool rock formations coming next week! 😄
Looks like a great spot to camp 🤗 I love how the picknick tables have a bit of a roof over them.
Us too! SUCH a welcome thing out here to be able to escape the sun for a bit. 😄

😲😲😲 What a score! Aside from your little visitor, was #22 everything is appears to be?

FOURTEEN??? Wow. I knew there were lots in that area but that's incredible!
Amazing 🎉

Hahaha! And he made extra too! Though as many as he saw in the area, he would have had to make a good number of patties. 🤣
That is so awesome the big horn sheep came so close!! Great shots! I would love to camp here!
They are ALL over that area. If you ever want to see some, that's definitely the place to go. 😅
It is a beautiful park. Been there a couple times.
One of the best!
A beautiful place for a campground. The views are awesome Glenn and Amy. Looking forward to more of this Thanks so much.
Plenty more red rock landscapes to come soon! 😊
Thank you for this video. I ended up choosing #17, 18 was booked and the other good spots from 21-28. You were very helpfu
Super! Glad it was helpful! Have an amazing time there! 😄
You are so lucky to be doing this.
Thank you! 😄👍

Used to ride my horse to the backside of the Valley of Fire from Overton, Nevada.
😲 Well, that's an experience we've not had out that way! How cool!
Looks like a great park and campground!
It really is. One of the best if you ask us. 😄
Fantastic place - great video Glenn! Thank you for the wonderful segments. Maybe I'll make it there someday. For now, I travel vicariously with your videos. Thank you!
Thanks! We'll keep our fingers crossed that you're able to make it out to visit for yourself one day. 😊

Don't remember about warnings, but they do have them out there, yes.

Great to hear! I imagine you'll have a great time. Then again, it's easy to out there. 😄
How do you keep cool at night in the tent?
It has mesh areas that allow for air flow. So good for ventilations but not so good for keeping sand/dirt out on very windy days.
hello Glen,
new subscriber here, new to you tube. finally got rid of cable.
bought the same coleman tent you have, just last month.
can it be used in moab area in early November?
trying to drive across country from florida.
In November... might be a touch cold in that tent as it isn't 100% sealed to the elements to keep in warmth.
@@CactusAtlas thanks, I'll try for may 2025.
Great tour of a beautiful landscape !

Love your videos and ad hoc comments …glad you did not get rammed in the butt…I’d miss your videos😅
Oh, we'd still be making videos. Just might be hobbling around for a while. 🤣
Psst! I saw you Slim. Sitting there with a forlorn and abandoned look on your face. Try to stay cheerful. I know it was rough. I'd be down myself if i had to stay,
Oh, no worries. Slim got a workout and little challenge while in the area on this trip. 😄

Happy to help! I hope that visit happens next spring. You won't regret the time there. 😄
