valorant is a CPU bound game, maybe you’ve maxxed out the CPU usage and the GPU is just doing the bare minimum since the CPU couldn’t keep up with GPU’s potential, it’s called bottlenecking.

Hello I followed the steps in the video and my fps increased however i think i went beyond my hardwares capabilities and now my cpu gets too hot everytime i boot valorant. I went through the steps and undid everything i changed but my fps is staying high and cpu staying hot. Is there any way to fix this? Its unplayable as of right now. Thanks

thats weird, but varies depending on your hardware. I would definitely turn it on tho since it prevents screen tearing in games while offering better framerates than a static refresh rate

had been playing capped at 60fps and randomly was hitting 150 - 200fps with some optimized settings. i get on today and im capped once again at 60

Because in real matches there is util and people moving the maps has details so that is the reason you may get less fps when your in a real game
