yeah, easiest trick we've found is to cut a 5 quart jug in half and slide it under the spout that is under the oil filter to catch any oil that comes out while taking it off. reach in from the passenger wheel well to take the filter off.
I just got these for my 2013 Frontier. Waiting on warmer weather up here in NY. Because my old ass is going to be crawling around on the garage floor. This should give me a general idea on what to look for. Thanks for the Video and the 2" lift.
This is great! Thank you. Been looking into getting skids for my frontier and these look good and if you guys recommend them and use them then I’m sure they’ll be perfect for my application. Update…. Just order them! Woohoo I left a comment on their order form saying that I heard about them from you guys 👍😁 .
I saw a comment on the ASFIR page that Chad put a set on his 3rd gen but had to do some modifications. Do you have any additional information on what had to be modified?
We did the 3rd gen test fitting for Asfir. Our modifications were provided to them and I believe they updated their design so that they're bolt-in ready on third gens.
If you have the factory pro4x steel gas tank skid, is there any good reason to replace it with the asfir? Could save a few hundred just using the 2 front skids if the factory gas tank skid is nearly as good. Thanks!
Agreed. I’ve beat the snot out of my gas tank skid just doing normal not crazy wheeling. It’s amazing how much it hits it right at the break over angle.
We don't actually carry these on the site ... yet. You would have to order through Asfir at the moment. However, we are planning on possibly being a vendor for them in the near future!
Nice skids, oil filter access leaves a lot to be desired

Fuel tank brackets are a little different but the engine and transmission skids are identical
I just got myself a 2010 Xterra and I CANT wait to start building it with your gear! Thanks for all the videos and work!!
Right on!

Ha perfect! They’ve held up to all the abuse we’ve given them and we primarily play on rocks.
Very cool!
the bottom of my xterra used to be that clean :(
We were honestly shocked with how clean this was to be honest lol
Awesome
Thank you!
NICE WORK FELLAS!
🤙 Much appreciated!
Nice job,😊😊
Thank you!

hi, what about oil filter change?
What about it lol jk jk These have to be removed unfortunately to do so.
Can these bolt up to an Xterra with an ARB bumper?

the asfir skids are much stronger than the stamped steel factory skid plates

Do you need to remove the engine skid plate to change the oil? Or is there an opening to get to the drain plug?
There is an explanation about this above
are you guys still selling this kit? i dont see it on your site.

@@AlldogsOffroadCoop thanks.
Will these be fine on a CCLB frontier?
they should but to be 100% certain, reach out to Asfir to confirm
Would the front skid work with a Frontier ARB bumper?
Would fit with the ARB bumper but would have a gap between the two. You would have to get a custom built one to fill that gap.

What’s the intro song?
Nice job blah blah blah. 😂
