do some better research on these cars if your going to talk about them. For instance the 1970 El Camino was offered with the same 454 LS6 that the Chevelle SS had. One of if not the fastest muscle cars ever made. So they were NOT underpowered as you stated.
they have no clue about the trucks of the 1970s. 1 ting i lie to point out is new trucks is an era that demands low fuel consumption and electric cars they come out with 4 x 4 4 door trucks and SUV that most people are buying

I had a 1974 elcamino and a 1771 ranchero. Loved them both. The ranchero had a 351 Cleveland. The elcamino had a 350.

these people are clueless truck buyers didn't buy for fuel efficiency trucks were work vehicles most weren't used for pleasure
