vannessa has the talent to spice things up. Not only her lessons make people go extra miles in learning english but also make them able to prevent loosing touch. After watching, this gorgeous girl lecture on youtube,i was so inspired by her presentation that i jumped on the bandwagon and subscribed her channel.
Look, nowadays people are evolving quickly, and I'm noticing most of them are taking the most of languages. In the future it'll be a generation of polyglots, consequently learning English and another language at the same time is the best of both worlds. A couple of months ago when my friend told me that music saved him I took it with a grain of salt. But now I am able to understand him because BTS has changed my life. Their songs always help me to see that every cloud has a silver lining and when something gets out of my hand I need to go with the flow and never give up. I know easier said than done but at least I have to try.

I've been studying English recently with Vanessa and so far so good! With the English you teach I surely can move to the US and safely get a nice job and handle the new culture, as well as bringing home the bacon. With this new idioms I just learned I surely went the extra mile in my vocab expansion and now I feel more confident in conversations so I don't overthink before speaking but just play by ear.
Since I was started seeing your videos,I really felt that I improved my english a lot. I'm 14 years old and I am studying 9th std,and also I told my friends to watch your videos.Thank you so much my dear teacher Vanessa.
Vanessa, I don't know how, but recently may be a week ago I popped up to your RUclips videos. However, I haven't stop watching your videos ever since. You're a great teacher, enthusiastic, with good sense of humor. This English idiom video is the best video of all time in RUclips. You rock. This shows your effort spending hours in front of the RUclips camera is the tip of iceberg. Moreover, in addition to your daily family responsibilities as Mom & wife to present these 50 idioms, you've done a good job. In the end, answering almost most of the idioms of your student, you call it a day. May God bless you & your family.
I wasn't fluent in English a few months ago. However, I decided to bite the bullet and worked hard. Now it's paying me off. This showed me that to go an extra mile is worth it.
We're finally leaving our textbook mode and getting wind of America and its idioms. I finally succeeded in wrapping my head around complex expressions.
One of the best English teacher of the youtube. I remember when I started to learn English and I found out you channel by chance and since then I've been subscribed to your channel. By the way, in that time your channel were with less than 200 mil subscribers, if I'm not wrong.
I have some more idioms i'd love to share. 1: hitting the sack = going to bed 2: blessing in disguise = something we thought would be bad in the beginning but turned out better in the end 3= driving oneself up the wall = something that is very annoying that truly annoys us 4: flipping the bird = showing a bad or obscene gesture mostly raising the middle finger 5: through thick and thin = whatever happens either it is good or bad, you stick with it 6: getting in two minds = getting confused about making decision
when I see your video on youtube for the first time, I have said I would listen to them 24/7, but with all the work that I have and other lobbies, I realize that it's easier said than done. thanks for all that you do. you rock
It has been suggested that the idom "Bite the bullet" is derived historically from the practice of having a patient clench a bullet in their teeth as a way to cope with the pain of a surgical procedure without anesthetic, though evidence for biting a bullet rather than a leather strap during surgery is sparse.
It’s so good to hear you! I would do it all day long if I could 😂… Your voice is super beautiful, clear and smooth. Besides of that, I love the way you expose the different subjects. You rock girl! 💕💕
Hi Vanessa, I love watching your videos.Thank you so much for teaching us! I would like to ask you, if you have any videos of how to use linking words such as subsequently, nevertheless, consequently and much more.
Vanessa! Your videos are amazing! I should keep watching them 24/7. It is easier said than done to do that, but I will try to bite the bullet and nip this procrastination habit in the bud. You rock!!
Honestly Vanessa, you rock I am watching this video at 1.75 speed and I am understanding almost 100% of what you say and you know what that means?? On the one hand that I have made a great improvement in my English speaking and listening skills and on the other hand it means you are one of the best teachers of RUclips. Thanks to your content I have improved my vocabulary and fluency and I want you to know I really appreciate the effort you are always doing for us. After watching this video I think I will "call it a day" because tomorrow I need to get up early to go to University and I don't want to be sleepy in class 😂😂 Hugs Take care ❤❤🙏
Way to go! Even that we may see the tip of the iceberg, rain or shine we have to put some effort in order to wrap our heads around her teachings. I noticed that Americans only take us serious if we stand out with phrasal verbs and expressions. So whenever we see our English going to the "textbook" mode, we have to nip it in the bud.
Hi there!! Vanessa, I'm so thankful to you for your valuable work and profound interest in teaching English stuff. This video i find it really useful, I need to assimilate some useful daily expressions to my speaking and writing skills..... Thank u, thank u sooooo much!!! Nice weekend!! And keep the good work!! You rock!!!!!!!! hehe
Though Covid19 delta virus spreads through the country, my family is in good health, so far. Thanks for getting chance to learn Vanessa English.I decide to go the extra mile learning in English.
Thank you so much for going the extra mile! Really thankful for all your efforts, we really appreciate it! You're such a great teacher! 🤍 Really love and thankful for this channel 💜
"When it rains, it pours" maybe equivalent to the Italian 'Piove sempre sul bagnato', which literally means 'it always rains on wet things' ! This video was very useful, thank you teacher Vanessa!
Thank you very much for your free English class on RUclips. Watching you for about two months and it help me alot, so now, I can express my thoughts freely. My English become more fluent. Also it helps me to learn new words and phrases and idioms. Thank you.
Oh my...I never thought I could finish watching it..but I decided to bite the bullet and I had great time listening to you..I learned a lot!!! I'm from Chile..my mother tongue is Spanish. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm already suscribed!

I hear this one quite a lot in the movies: "the cat is out of the bag", which means (for who doesn't know) that a secret or surprise has been revealed or exposed. Right, Vanessa?
@Qadeer Panhwer - I can help you with my videos about idioms! You can always ask me questions (any questions about English) under my videos and I will do my best to reply :)
@@healthandwellness254 - Try your best... it takes a lot of practice for people who are not used to it (for example, in Japanese, there is no "r" sound, only a sound that is between "R" and "L".).

Thanks for learning English with me for so long! You rock! 😊❤️
@@SpeakEnglishWithVanessa I love your style ❤❤❤
@@SpeakEnglishWithVanessa Thanks ❤️😊
Sehr gut
Vanessa I got your channel so unexpectedly that I thank God , you are awsome and made my day. Thank you.
I have some more idioms i'd love to share.
1: hitting the sack = going to bed
2: blessing in disguise = something we thought would be bad in the beginning but turned out better in the end
3= driving oneself up the wall = something that is very annoying that truly annoys us
4: flipping the bird = showing a bad or obscene gesture mostly raising the middle finger
5: through thick and thin = whatever happens either it is good or bad, you stick with it
6: getting in two minds = getting confused about making decision
Good idioms to share! For #4, note that we say "to flip someone the bird." And note that #6 might be British English; it's not used in the U.S.
@@LearnAcademicEnglish i guess insted of saying flipping somebody a bird,we could also say flipping off. Excuse me if i slip this up
Very good
Not to butter you up but when it comes to teaching English, you really are the best. I love you much, Thank you!
OMG, i really enjoy this lesson, i love how you explain every sentence or idioms 😍
She helped us out to get wind of Americans, and we'll speak from now on as plain as day
when I see your video on youtube for the first time, I have said I would listen to them 24/7, but with all the work that I have and other lobbies, I realize that it's easier said than done. thanks for all that you do. you rock
It has been suggested that the idom "Bite the bullet" is derived historically from the practice of having a patient clench a bullet in their teeth as a way to cope with the pain of a surgical procedure without anesthetic, though evidence for biting a bullet rather than a leather strap during surgery is sparse.
Thanks for sharing! There are a lot of ideas about where these idioms come from, and I love the creativity.😊

Call It a day, Thank you so much for the beautiful idioms, Maam Vanessa.
The teacher of my 10-year-old son always said to his students "You rock or rockers". I didn't know the meaning, but I got it now! Thank you!
Very calm and beautiful instructor I have ever seen. Thank you for good idea.

It is easier said than done to do that, but I will try to bite the bullet and nip this procrastination habit in the bud.

Honestly Vanessa, you rock
I am watching this video at 1.75 speed and I am understanding almost 100% of what you say and you know what that means?? On the one hand that I have made a great improvement in my English speaking and listening skills and on the other hand it means you are one of the best teachers of RUclips. Thanks to your content I have improved my vocabulary and fluency and I want you to know I really appreciate the effort you are always doing for us.
After watching this video I think I will "call it a day" because tomorrow I need to get up early to go to University and I don't want to be sleepy in class 😂😂

God for you Vanessa🙏🏿💕🥰
You rock! Thank you. So I will learn english every day, rain or shine!😄
I make the extra mile to listen to you spoke on the 50 important English expressions to the end and so far, so good

"When it rains, it pours" maybe equivalent to the Italian 'Piove sempre sul bagnato', which literally means 'it always rains on wet things' ! This video was very useful, thank you teacher Vanessa!

Hi Vanessa
Its had been a while since i came across your videos on RUclips and saw that the possibillities of increasing all the aspects of english is just the tip of the iceberg and to make an accomplish of that i knew that i needed to create a rule of thumb for my studies and go with the flow continuously every day
I hear this one quite a lot in the movies: "the cat is out of the bag", which means (for who doesn't know) that a secret or surprise has been revealed or exposed. Right, Vanessa?
I'm not Vanessa, but yes, you are right!
@Qadeer Panhwer - I can help you with my videos about idioms! You can always ask me questions (any questions about English) under my videos and I will do my best to reply :)
YOU ROCK! I finally discoverd a brilliant english teaching channel of yours , so far so good indeed.
After watching this whole section, I'm dying to call it a day
I think this lockdown it's kind of a blessing disguise for me because I have more time on practicing my English with the best teacher ever.
13:09: In Britain they call a molasses- Treacle! 😅🇬🇧
Yes! That's the word that I was looking for. 😁
That’s me and my county! Molasses
Hey! I have a problem of pronouncing R no matter how much I try😭
@@healthandwellness254 - Try your best... it takes a lot of practice for people who are not used to it (for example, in Japanese, there is no "r" sound, only a sound that is between "R" and "L".).
I learned about treacle from Peppa Pig! Haha!
