It emphasizes that rumors have a significant impact on people's lives and can lead to their moral or material harm, as the villagers did to the old tailor when they left him sick and alone without visiting or supporting him.
Furthermore, we should be more tolerant towards others and bear their bad actions as much as we can. Most importantly, we should perform acts of kindness to please Allah, not to please people. These qualities should be embodied by a Muslim in order to earn Allah's love and enter Paradise.
