Really loved the show. Very interesting and informative. I have a couple of obstacles to overcome before jumping into gardening: I travel a lot and need to learn more before getting started. I am totally spooked by lizards and have quite a few around my yard. Ugh! Opossums are also common around the area since so many people have several fruit trees. Do you have any suggestions for encouraging them all to stay away?
Thanks for the show. I really enjoyed it and seeing your garden. It reminds me of my grandparents extensive kitchen gardens and fruit trees.

In addition to ammonia and mothballs, possums will also steer clear of odors of vinegar, garlic, onion, peppermint, and camphor. These strong scents are often used as natural repellents to keep opossums away from gardens, trash cans, and other areas where they may be unwanted.
