Thanks! Love this music! The mixes on all the Fenix gigs here on RUclips are the live PA mixes (no multitrack) so unfortunately no way to improve them.
They’re doing “It’s about that time”. the one you/ I would like to hear them do is “Shh...Peaceful”. I’m going to search on RUclips.com. It may be there. Otherwise I’m gonna track them down and make request.
Because sadly, the group is no more and the players are scattered across the U.S. Hopefully sometime in the future there'll be a reincarnation. We LOVED playing this music! :)
I'am sorry to hear that, especially since I do not know of any other group that is into that music, except Marcus Miller occasionally. I'am also sure, that there is a "market" for live performaces like your group performed, listening to records is just something else. What would have happened to the music of Mozart, if nobody would have performed it after his passing away (ok, there were no records at that time, but I'am sure you get my point). Also I'am sure a tour through Jazz Clubs in Europe would be successful, 20 to 30 gigs, no problem... All the best!
Miles Ahead Group keyboardist Mike Kapitan has just released an album of jazztronica. Check out Sketches Of Spin. Available on all streaming services and here on YT ruclips.net/video/tUj9S19jXdY/видео.html
Everyone on this stage knows what they're doing . Just the guitar was mixed very loud and kind of ruined the perfect tune of the original where every instrument was in a perfect harmony with the rest.
Agree. The audio on our Fenix performances was just the P.A. mix. Nothing we could do about it after the fact unfortunately. And the synth solo towards the end of Right Off (different video) is mixed too far back. Glad you are enjoying the music!
mike kapitan, thons the answer..praise the lord ans all her smelly loveliness
Amazing one my all time favorite albums you guys killed it🎼💙✌🏾

Just perfect. I'd like to see one version of the other song "It's about that time". Just amazing
Thanks Manuel! We love playing that tune. It's a bit different every time. Great Zawinul composition.
Well done - tasty

Fantastic! Ever play Denver? Ascenseur pour l'échafaud?
Love to lay Denver but we never have. We don't play any material from the Ascenseur album.
And we try to keep away from any gallows! :)
I'm actually thinking of trying to score an arrangement for trio.
Go for it!
