When a person is lost, it can feel like every step is taking them further and further away from where they need to be. But with Christ, we trust in the promise that we are not lost, but led...and that every step is taking us closer to where and who we need to be.

So much more edifying than my Protestant church i going to still because I am living with my anti Catholic parents. The pastor misrepresented Catholics for the 5th week in a row. This time bashing the Catholic Church on Indulgences and they didn't fix their errors on selling them. Then bashed the Catholic Church again on the concert of purgatory and how their is temporal punishment for sin. Then bashed how Jesus' atonement for our sins wasn't like a random payment and how that is wrong because it's a Catholic stance. When I listen to Father Mike (any other Catholic priest for that matter) not once do they bash Protestants (even though they have every right too)
Please pray that I will persevere.
I would join the Catholic once i move out of my anti Catholic parents house. Their is a lot of bad things that has happened and questionable things that the Catholic Church does now but i will only convert because I know this is (with all it's faults because we're all sinners) that this is the church Christ established and that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist

Dear friend, I am praying for you. I grew up with an anti-Catholic mother and it took me years to have the courage to convert officially to Catholicism even though I was convicted by my studies of the faith pretty early on. I pray that our parents will come to understand and possibly even convert themselves. If you are joyous and faithful, they’ll see you have found something real. By joy I don’t mean laughing all the time, but rather that you have an abiding sense of well-being under everything. God bless.

Wonderful homily Father, very insightful for those of us trying hard to be good Christians with many missteps along the way. I have said to the Lord many times, can't I just be your puppet? Then I won't have to go the wrong way. But that's not what life is about, its about learning and growing, while still staying on the path. Often I get caught up in thorns or feel despair and just sit down on the path. Then with the help of Jesus I am lifted and back on the path to the promised land.💖
You are not alone, not at all. Most of us are just like that !

In life, the fun is in the chase and not so much about the destination. Notice how we are being trained very well on earth each day through going through challenges and hardships as if we are being prepared very well for the promised land. So, think of the promised land is just the beginning. Life is very rich, so we have to pay attention to details, location, sceneries, various events, lessons learned, and enriching our relationships with God while we are living on Earth, a Paradise in itself.
Very beautiful homily Fr. It really resonated me in such deep level. I was lost as to what is the purpose of my life. Infact I have been jobless and feeling hopeless for the last 2 years as I was continuing to find my purpose I found out that it is to be a teacher. And immediately I m pursuing that career path and this homily is just at the time I found my purpose and just as David was anointed but had a long path to reach. LORD is asking me to be patient as this new purpose unfolds in my life. THANK YOU JESUS, thank you Fr, for this message from God.
Fr Thanks for the message for this week homily, " between the promise to our promised land, every step we take will take us closer to the person we are meant to be". So, like the Israelite wandering in the wilderness, we are not lost, but we are being led to pick up the necessary skills for the next steps, the next steps until we reach our promised land.

Too funny! I had friends that couldn’t believe how directional challenged I am! I told them if I could go to the library and LEARN a “sense of direction “ I would! But it just isn’t there! My husband says I’m the only person he knows that he can put me in the backyard, turn me around 3 times, and I couldn’t find my way to the front! (It would make me mad…but it’s true😮
And they still had to Fight! Amen 🙏

I'm turning 30 next week and I've accomplished nothing thus far. I've been pursuing nursing for 5 years. I failed out of the first school. And now that I'm 2 months away from achieving a nursing degree, I was forced to withdraw. I've been extremely down this week, and this really helped. Thank you!

GOD’S POWER AND SPIRIT:
THE FATHER, JESUS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE ALL SEPARATE BEINGS. BUT WHAT MAKES JESUS ONE WITH THE FATHER (GOD)? ...about the homily, yeah man I know the destination, it’s the treading stagnate water that I get tired of.... but just know that that’s what I’ve been doing... and don’t be surprised if that’s what I continue to do in new water. I’ll try any but I am a slow learner. God save His Fatherhood and all of His children.

Its not what it is to be a friend so why would you exect the friendship?
Of course there are certain ethical principles that are good to follow, mainly ecological principles for today, such as not driving a car and using trains and buses, buying only clothes that I will wear for a long time and rejecting the pressure of fast fashion (I am terribly unsuccessful at this), eating with regard to ethics, especially when it comes to meat and animal products (I try to eat a plant-based diet and refuse to eat cows and pigs because they are too intelligent and life on big farms must be suffering for them and no Christian is bothered by it, so weird. Muslims/Jews have strict rules for meat (halal/kashrut). But even avocados can be unethical, so one must choose carefully. Sometimes I feel that Christian rules are only about sex and they don't care about anything else in the world too much :D
Rubbish. From personal experience growing up in Catholic Church has taught me about everything. The 10 commandments is God's instructions on how to behave. Many people try to do the right thing but they can't abide by God's Commandments. Jesus came to show us mercy, grace. Some people refuse to forgive. To me that is more detrimental than recycling. Basic human kindness is what Jesus showed me. It's all about how we treat each other. I can't remember ever getting instructions from the Church about sex. It was never mentioned. I learned from my parents.
So the big decision is Priesthood or marriage?. Would be better if it were Priesthood or doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, rancher, farmer, chef....No wonder there is a shortage of Priests......
Priesthood or marriage are both vocations, they are not careers
wrong direction, yeah :) sometimes I feel that the whole thing is wrong and the very idea of a human mediator between God and people is crazy and the Jews or Muslims are ultimately right. Sometimes it lacks logic. but for now, where I am, there I am, what I pray, I pray. I can do the whole rosary and try adoration, but I have to turn off my critical thinking a little bit every time, why the trinity when only one God is enough, why some human image when no image is enough.

That inherent fear of making the wrong move is exactly why you need to figure out who El is and who he is not.

I always used to worry that I might choose the wrong guy and accidently marry Satan like whoever that woman was my dad used to tell me stories about when I was little...but now I'm having to worry about my entire religion being half Satan, half Christ worshippers and not even knowing which side is which cause they're counted as one in the same, smh.
