    Can’t believe the negative comments here! Yes it wasn’t perfect but it was really good and I’m so happy you gave it a try. You will continue to get better. Great job!

    You did a great job! Don’t mind the naysayers. Bajans make cou cou to their own liking. There is no perfect recipe or specific way to eat it. My gran gran made it differently than all her kids including my mum. I grew up eating it swimming in gravy. Next time you make it add a lil water to your salt fish and let it boil down. You could add in a link curry powder too for flavor. When you plate it take a big spoon and press it down in the middle of your cou cou and pour the salt fish gravy mixture in the impression you made in the middle like a crater. That’s my lil 2 cents. Keep the videos coming sweet boy. 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧

      tamme layne can you tell me how to make the gravey ?

    • @tamme6217
      @tamme6217 4 года назад +1

      Well to make the gravy to need onions sweet pepper tomatoes . We would chop up the onions and sweet pepper and garlic with chive and lightly saute with a little oil making sure it doesn't burn and then add tomato ketchup a little and stir it for a little bit add the salt fish and stir for a little while then add water then the chop tomatoes and butter and a little curry and paprika and black pepper and salt to taste . Add some thyme and majarome if you have and let it boil until it has a good consistency. If you need to thicken it use about a teaspoon of flour and a little Water and make a paste and the stir it into the gravy . I have never told any one how to make anything before so I hope you have a good time with this .

    You are so WRONG...that is not how we Bajans make our cou cou...first things first we also add okra in our cou cou and our cou cou has to be eaten with a lot of gravy with lots of onions and fresh 🍅 tomatoes...garlic thyme etc

    • @Ceecrystalclear
      @Ceecrystalclear  4 года назад +1

      Heather leacock do you make the gravy from scratch ? I would like to try it with gravy next time I cook it
