Love your videos, I'm a amateur Bowyer in an area with little bow wood options, I'm interested in purchasing one of your bow kits or staves, could you tell me where I could purchase one from you, thank you very much.
I like gullwing bows without deflexed limbs. Might perform better no? Cheers from the cold prairies of Alberta. Always love hearing what u have to say cheers
@@chuckbouscaren3898 Hey Chuck. I'm pretty sure that at least a couple started put like this. One could say that the limbs could have been bent back pretty easily and bending the handle back wasn't necessary but I like to be provocative and put it out there that it could have happened in many different ways 'cause there's hardly ever just one reason for anything.
That happens sometimes and it's usually because it's so easy to miss my middle initial in the johnjriggsarchery in my email address. Give it another try.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Blessings here are amazing. Sorry I missed you yesterday . Keep up the great job. Thank you for the instructions
@@samfulks4896 That's ok, Sam. Thank you, sir and blessing on you.
Over a coal fire? I've wondered about this myself. Now the proof of concept is in. I'll have to try this.
It works really well. It's hot enough to get it done but not so intense that it burns the wood before it penatrates into the belly.

@@Daylon91 They would. Apache bows were like that..I don't want to push red oak that far though with so much reflex.
That's an interesting idea about how a gull wing shape may have originated John.

@@johnjriggsarchery2457 Necessity may be the mother of invention but making a happy accident work to advantage has got to be right up there too.
@@chuckbouscaren3898Definitely. I set the handle enough so it has some reflex. It turned out pretty darned good.
