Ian Brown should be cast as a Manc Spy in a film, he could do the theme as well, a kind of flawed, introspective, slightly menacing anti hero who transforms into a monkey with super powers. Stonking tune, smokey (sorry for the pun), chord progressions, dark and atmospheric. The video is so simple, just him and flames, but that's all it needs.
If i had never gone to that clothes shop and heard this song there, recorded it on my phone, searched it for years until i finally found it, i would never be a brownie fan.
