@@andersriksson100 kvd is successful, and probably refuses to switch, but it's proven fact your dominant hand is faster. You've got to remember back when kvd started there were hardly no left handed reels. I can only imagine how many hits he got and missed from switching hands after he casts? I'm sure it's been many. You don't have to get hurt I'm stating facts.
I bought it for fishing salmon in tidal waters in a lower river but it does well in bass fishing as well. The adjustability leaves something to be desired coming compared to a 17 scorpion, especially if you are using mono or flouro. Everything else is mint. clicky drag for life
Being a left-handed reel and you being right-handed is the right way to go. If you were using a spinning reel would you be cranking with your right hand? No. You would have the handle in your left hand. Your right-hand holds the rod and is quicker to set the hook, has better feeling etc. Having a baitcaster like this you don't have to switch hands after casting... Takes a bit to get used to but once you do it is so much better. :)
Bro I had this for over a year and I love it. I had landed monster fish. I got 15lb Onyx super slick v2. Bro it’s so Sexy! Mines is left hand retrieve. I got it on a medium fast action Silver widow by Edge Rods. Gary loomis makes them. As Always great review brother. Your the reason I bought a baitcaster.
Due to the design of the clicking drag on your 2012 Exsence DC, it will not click when locking the spool and turning the handle. Put a few yard of line on it and try to pull the line. You will discover that your clicking drag has always been there.
I have mine for over a year now and I love using for California Halibut. Definitely a good saltwater reel but the drag does suck. I highly recommend getting the shimano Lunamis rod.
I got one last month, was actually cheaper than a USDM Curado DC. So far, aside from the nice handle and knobs, I'm not sure its much different that the Curado DC, of which I've also owned. I haven't fished them side by side however. It also has one of the nicest sounding clicking drags in my opinion, at least as far as baitcasters are concerned. If you can get one for cheaper than a Curado DC i think it is worth it, but if all things being the same including price, then I think the Curado wins purely for the US warranty and resellability.
@@SarduakarElite what are you guys experiencing? I have only fished it a few times and hooked a 2.7 over that I backed off the drag a bit just to hear the clicks lol Is there something I’m missing?
@@DiamondHead2010 I can only speak for me, but I feel like it just takes a lot of revolutions of my drag star to get up to 8-10lbs. For example my curado k or Slx xt I can just give it a quarter or half turn to get to the same drag pressure. Maybe they installed those drag star locknut washers different on accident from factory. Anyway, it’s not a deal breaker, just kinda annoying as I like to take my middle finder and turn the star with a quick and single flick to either back off or increase drag.

I’ll post again on my experience if I hopefully hook into a bigger fish

I'm still waiting on a scorpion 21dc since May 5th. Can anyone tell me where I can get the Left hand 8.5 ratio from. Amazon jp has me waiting for a shipping email...smh And this guy already has 1.
@@ektherising how so? One has clicking drag, one has the idc4 and other has idc5, one has bigger handle, one probably has a lighter spool. I want a reel for very finesse musky and general bass and I'm between the exsence and scorpion.
EXSENCE DC SS VS CURADO DC VS SCORPION DC 2020
If you're right handed dominant, you should reel with your left. Your reaction is way faster/quicker with your dominant hand. Hence more fish landed.

Back in my place this reel is use mostly for fishing giant snakehead.. They (shimanoSEA youtube channel) also recommended it.
The 2012 reel drag system does not click when you hold the spool from rotation. It only sounds off when you pull line off the spool.

Do you think it could handle the power of a musky/pike?
Mine curado dc system already convert to exsence dc ss, superb long cast....all part on exsence dc ss fit perfectly on curado dc
What you can say about this reel compared to scorpion dc 21?
Damn i wish i have one... And also I'm from malaysia .. i really like your video sir... Teach me a lot...👍👍👍
Thanks David
Compared to scorpion dc 2021 which one will you choose?
Should I buy this or 2021 scorpion dc?
Nahh
scorpion comes with idc5, exsence has idc4
Finally you will use braided line in your video
Still waiting for your review of the Curado BFS.

Just ordered mine from Asian portal fishing.

Drag clicker sound is really nice. Drag pressure sucks though with the new clicker drag assembly compared to conventional…
