I have read many translations of the lyrics in the original language but I cannot fit the syllable-count of the lyrics I read in the translation into the syllable-count that I hear in the song. It took me a few minutes to word my question so please reread it if it doesn't make sense to you the first time because my confusion is highly specific. Assuming I'm pronouncing the Punjabi dialect correctly, the syllables I read aren't the same quantity as the syllables I hear.
