A thought I had regarding the metal hole covers. It would be a lot more economical to produce square ones because of the way they cut out of a large sheet with no waste. If you come up with a relatively easy way to cut a square hole in the floor (think router and jig saw with guide jigs to take out the guess work), with the edges machined down so the metal plug sits flush, you could get tons of square metal plates made for a great price.
Just bought your SDS Chisel should come in very handy for me a 'Plumber' Boo Hiss😛... 'Product Dimension' spelt wrong on your Amazon roll over advert.👍
Ordered your chisel. I know you're getting flak for your grammar in the video title, but on your website it says "your in safe hands" instead of "you're in safe hands". Enjoyed the video, look forward to trying the chisel!
Hi mate, don’t want to criticise as I think you are the top sparky on here but are you happy with 0.48 on the cpc, should be nearer 0.30 for a 1.67 ratio… from 0.18 on the lines… ? Friendly enquiry …
My understanding is you should not try to do calculations involving imperial cable sizes as they are outside the remit for BS 7671 and if it were permissable to do imperial metric conversions then the appropiate tables would be in BS 7671. That leaves you looking at that old circuit and using your judgement and experience to decide as to weather what you are about to do is correct.
They’re meant to be accessible in UK regs too, but these were there already so might have been compliant under earlier edition of the regs. (I don’t know if that is the case though) personally I would have thought converting them to maintenance free junctions would have been best to bring them into compliance.
Your comment about American electrical regulations was pretty harsh you guys have exposed Hot Wheels going right into where any kid can stick a knife or fork and get shocked
that chisel, is that your own brand now or is it different to the other one you used to use back in the day from dewalt? i ask because i think it's now a third of the price thanks
Spelling error in your heading. "their", not "there". "Their" relates to ownership or position of owned articles. "There" is solely position, such as, "it is over there".
When you titled this video “Squeaky Bum Time?” I immediately assumed you meant James was about to sit his final exams or something like that. Its great to have a full video of yours to watch. I would love to know why they have slowed down. Is it something to do with the lack of RUclips finance or what? 👍👍
Fabulous as always guys your so good with James 👏😎🇮🇪

I like those circular access points
Yeah they are fantastic for chipboard flooring
Nice to see content cj instead of some of the patter you see on some sites.
Wonderful job as always.
Can’t beat a thinking electrician like CJR. Nice survey and planning before making the minimum incisions. Measure twice, cut once.
Great to see a new video from you. We need more.
Both Nick Bundy and his apprentice compete with you and release their videos at the same time 😀
The metal plates are good idea.
Where are the from mate?

👍
Nice job 😎
So much easier if they had got you in before plastering, clients 🙄
Forward planning lol
Future reference
Plasterers are more important than spark’s it seems these days !!

Great video as always.... Havnt seen you on here for a while.👍
Another great video mate. keep them coming.
In a perfect world all trades should consider all other trades.. Unfortunately if on a price its first come first served!!
Great video Chris 👍
Welcome back chris 👏🏼 finally. Nice job matey

Got to love the old cinder block walls...
Nice to see a new video from you Chris. James looks to be getting taller, what are you feeding him?
Copious amounts of customer tea is having an adverse affect on his height. He currently growing 1 inch a day
Soon it will be no ladders required, downside is he'll need a soft top van!
How old is this house ? A lot of junction boxes.
At a guess I’d say 1980-1990
Chris, where can I get the access hole (with chamfered edge) hole-saw?
Tlc used to sell them its made by suoerod try there website too
I believe it’s the Cavity Master CRCA1 from Super Rod. I would provide a link but YT often blocks comments with links in it.
Thanks guys! 👍👍
THEIR !
There’s gold in them there mountains
It’s not covid it’s just dust 😂
In the US we're not allowed to bury junction boxes unless it's accessible in the UK or you allowed to bury junction boxes like that unacceptable

I did
I've seen American wiring and it's shite just like your sparks so don't think you are all great because you are not.
Your comment about American electrical regulations was pretty harsh you guys have exposed Hot Wheels going right into where any kid can stick a knife or fork and get shocked
Hey Chris, did you help design the sds chisel bit? and where is it manufactured 👍
was that luck or judgement in missing both sets of pipes when multi tolling up the floor?
Both LOL but in all honesty a multitool is much more controllable than a circular saw
that chisel, is that your own brand now or is it different to the other one you used to use back in the day from dewalt?
i ask because i think it's now a third of the price
thanks
Who plastered that ceiling??
I assume a plasterer 🤣
Nice video, not seen one for a while.
Like the look of the chisel, are there any advantages over a scutch chisel?
Carbide teeth
@@Cjrelectrical just ordered one with my fathers day money 😀
Excellent 👍

Really?
@@Cjrelectrical Yes, Chris. Check it in "Fowler's Modern English Usage", or "Oxford Dictionary".
Thanks Alan! 😉 p.s just so you know I put the mistake there on purpose. It helps engagement. Thanks for taking part.
@@Cjrelectrical Thanks Chris. That figures! I have been watching your vids over the past two years or so. Very interesting material.
what a brilliant tool that cavity master is to solve a problem born of the devil himself, chipboard flooring
"Their" Their pipes.
Chris please make more videos, the other RUclips sparks just don’t come close ⚡️
Cheers I’m not sure about that 👍

@@Cjrelectrical Sorry to hear that. My condolences.
@@Cjrelectrical Sorry to hear about your mum.
Thoughts and prayers with you and family ❣️
Why do bloody electricians put there earth bond on pipes next to a nut that has to be undone 😂
More than likely it’s the plumber/kitchen fitter who moved it 😁
Too much talking not enough working
Not great grammar/spelling - surely it should read 'their' and not 'there'
Yep its no mistake 👍
Now that's interteligent
