Been one of my favorite movies since I was a young teen and loved the Pistols it was the early 90’s but punk rock was still very popular. I’ve always loved this Modern Day Romeo and Juliet, Bonnie and Clyde type of story.
I liked that movie when I watched it as a teenager in the 90s. Sad that Gary Oldman hates it. It's not a bad movie. And the girl on the left at 6:41 is Courtney Love. Before all of her plastic surgery. She desparately wanted to play Nancy but Chloe Webb got cast for it.
Courtney tried for the part of Nancy and lost to Cloe Webb but, definitely think C.L. Would’ve been just as good as Nancy but, I love Cloe Webb a lesser known actress who has been in a few small roles like in practical magic. Hee voice is annoying in this movie but she was the best actress imo to portray Nancy Spongeun I do believe Sid was innocent but we’ll never know bc of the fact that two less addicts in the world… 😢🤷🏻♀️🥺 you know how it goes. I bet if they had done more extensive investigation of the situation they’d have found out that it was the dealer who came to give the drugs and found Sid passed out so he decided to stab Nancy and take their money. Don’t know why that was never investigated and they just assumed Sid must have been guilty when he literally couldn’t even recall what happened the night of the murders. It’s sad.
Yes thats correct, im a huge sex pistols fan, seen them live 6 times on comeback tours, met glen and john, and have a big collection of items, bootlegs, demos, etc, gary did say at the time in the media, he had nightmares playing the part, went very skinny as well, he felt the script was inarticulate, except johhny rotten actor getting a few witty lines, but gary was not a pistol fan sadly ans did not do any research into them, he played a good part i thought, sid was 6 foot 2, gary only 5 foot 9, bur seemed much taller in the film, a few clever camera shots i here regards.
Sorry a few errors, oops. But i do know gary was not really a pistol fan,and prior to the film did no reseach into the part, but both him and chloe have huge talent.
@@markgreet3543 that's awesome! I saw the sex pistols once on a reunion tour in Boston with the dropkick Murphy's. The most pit was brutal. I remember the crowd ripped out the seats and made a mosh pit. Then my brother and I saw Public Image Ltd in the early 2000
@@cynthiamigliore2627 seen the 6 times, public image ltd 2 times, i ask john lydon how tall sid was 6 foot1, and he is about 5 foot 11, but seems to look a bit shorter, i went to see him doing a question and answer session a few months back.

Gary Oldman was born to play this part. He nailed it.
But he sayed that he hated to play Sid Vicious. Sorry for my english 😊
