Bull elk missing an ear!

Bull elk missing an ear! Who did it!
This is trail camera footage from the West Kootenays.
Last year there were kitten tracks in the snow tagging along with a momma cougar and I often capture cougar on this hill. Along with a couple fresh kills of deer and some blood trails that may have been smaller critters.. One dead cow elk in winter of 2022 on this same hill, but not sure how it died in the minus 20 weather.
Other suspects that live on this hill include other bull elk or even a branch? Who done it.
