"Farmer Al Falfa" went back to the days of silent cartoons in the 1920's. I thought a few "Farmer Al Falfa" shorts were also made by Terrytoons around 1964-65-66, reviving the character after a nearly 25-year gap.
Al's final screen appearance was in "Uranium Blues" (1956). He returned on TV as "host" of the syndicated "FARMER ALFALFA AND HIS TERRYTOONS PALS" (recycling the older cartoons seen on "BARKER BILL'S CARTOON SHOW") in 1958.
Staff writer Tom Morrison is the voice of Farmer Al, the "Fool-Proof Aerolane" salesman, AND the "Learn To Fly" phonograph record; he would later succeed John Foster as Paul Terry's "story editor", and head writer, in 1950.
Wasn't he also the voice of Mighty Mouse in a handful of shorts made in 1959 and 1960 as well as in the intros and segues of the "Mighty Mouse" TV series from 1955-66?
