Everyone forgot the reason Han Jipyeong didn't use his own name when writing letters to Dalmi. he felt he was not a lucky child because he was an orphan and had nothing. Jipyeong uses the name Nam Dosan because he feels Dosan is a lucky child, he is smart and has a whole and happy family. not like Jipyeong.Jipyeong wants Dosan's luck can flow to Dalmi
Even though the name mentioned in the letter is Nam Dosan, the letter is still Han Jipyeong's letter because all the feelings, traits and characters in the letter are purely Han Jipyeong's figure not Nam Dosan

Remember when jipyeong told dami that he doesn’t have a single friend when he was young but her letters gave him comfort. From then you can feel that his feelings in the letters were genuine just like what he felt with dalmi’s letters

For me, Episode 1 is the best episode out of all the 16 episodes. The beautiful cinematography, the great acting from the cast, very moving and touching story. Dalmi's father left such a strong impact. Nam Da Reum too and his relationship with Halmeoni. Probably why many viewers got attached with HJP's character is this backstory in ep1.

Yes, the first ep is so strong, even all others 15 eps could not shake hjp position. They should make this drama from this base story, they should build up the story about han jipyeong and suzy also halmonny. Im so sorry for njh, but he just not so lucky for almost of his dramas. The first impression of a drama is important, thats why the leads should put more effort to attract us from the very beginning (they appeared). I watched extraordinary you, rowoon didnt appear from the very beginning (ep 1) but the writer of this drama always made us curious about him, the writer built his character so that we were so waiting for him to “be” in the story. But from start up, the writer kept us in han jipyong “misery” life with suzy broken heart. And the way they bring njh first impression was so cheesy and predicted, im not impressed. Just saying, he is good but not lucky this time
han jipyeong deserves better. his words may sound harsh to others, but he always put everyone first, neglecting his own feelings. at the end, dalmi will still choose do san 😔😔 i know its only a kdrama but im so emotional 😭😭 😭
think of it this way that Jipyeong gets all of our hearts even though he doesn't get Dalmi's! It was made for Jipyeong to never end up with female lead. it's really sad but then again I'm so happy Kim Seonho gets all the attention he deserves in the world for his role in startup. ^^

yea. i mean how we all developed second lead syndrome. how they had the chemistry but writer kept pushing for their first lead (the engg and the suzy bae) relationship to work. but it was just cringe ngl. and story line got rushed. didn't feel right somehow. pluss, it was the second lead who wrote the letters. did soo much.. first lead just got everything handed over other than , the job in silicon valley ofc, that success was theirs.

But with Han Jipyeong, Dal-mi never considered him to be a love interest, Do-San was always the one. Also when he cried in front of grandma saying why couldn’t he be the one, I felt so bad...Anyways, watch it, it’s a really good drama.

The thing about the first episode is you can bravely give it a 10/10 given by the cast line up, twist of the events, the story flow, the acting and roles of each cast as well as the OSTs. Especially the lesson it gave us already.

There are two saddest scenes that make me cry, are the scene when his father Dalmi and Dalmi talk over the phone regarding fried chicken and the second scene when Ji Pyeong is at the bus terminal wearing shoes by his grandmother

I'm just glad Dal-Mi stayed with her Dad, her mother is a terrible person! She divorced her husband but she also divorced her kid too. Did she just stop loving Dal-mi in exchanged for money and comfortable life? No contact for 15 years and she did not even reach out to Dal-mi when her ex-husband died, I'm questioning her love and compassion for Dalmi. to me that's just unacceptable, mean and cruel. Oh well, that's my 2 cents for the day. I'm glad Granny became Dal=mi and Ji-Pyeong support system. I also loved their character growth on the 1st and 2nd episode.

@@user-nm2tf7ch3g there were no much scenes that show the dad did not care about injae after the divorce but her mom really did not care at all even after the dad died. her dad died maybe after a few months or one to two year after the family broke up because dal-mi was still young at that time. but when the grannie said dal-mi dropped university because she worked part-time to help grannie’s business, that is it. that showed that her mom did not care at all.

Okay, I’m angry. After watching ep 13, this ost is truly for Han Jipyeong. He want to be the first one that comes to Dalmi mind when she is facing any hardship. :( He is really selfless.
Even when he like Dalmi, he told her not to be worried and do not want to burden her with his feeling.
When Halmoni told him to not disturb Dalmi Dosan relationship, he got angry. What about him? Why no one care about him? And at the end he feel bad, say sorry to halmoni through chat and went to the old corndog shop to get the letter and give that to Dosan.
When Dosan said he got nothing, he really have everything. Family, friends, even Dalmi. All Jipyeong have is his money, and that is all by himself. He have no one to rely on, that’s why he is harsh to everyone because he don’t know how to love, he have no family. His only friend is yeongsil, an AI speaker. His only family is Halmoni. That Halmoni is prefer her real granddaughter, Dalmi, and she is selfish enough to make her granddaughter happy.
Why the writernim make him like this? He got hurt again and again since first episode. And he did not do anything! Is it his fault that he is orphan? No. Yes he is harsh with his words, but it is true. He even said to Dosan “if only this makes you hurt, then you don’t deserve to be a businessman.” :(
I only want him to be happy.
but then again dalmi and dosan break up for 3 years dude. and in that 3 years jipyeong doesn’t make any move?
@@sonyajanitra9740 that's why the story became a bit unrealistic for me. Writers did this to have Dalmi and Dosan endgame. That's fine, just wanting a proper closure to the letters and a happy ending for HJP also.

This song make me more remind to Dal-Mi Dad rather than Han Jipyeong. The saddest part in this drama is her Dad.
He end his life without anyone by his side. He can't achieve his dream. His dream achieve when he gone which is in the end of the drama; whereas when all the family reunited.

OMG I JUST NOTICED. Around 2:10 we Jipyeong take the letter out of the bird house, and he kind of just sighs and walks away. It looks to be around autumn because there's leaves on the ground. Next seen we see Dalmi in the snow, and after seeing her sister there's a shot of her looking into the birdhouse and smiling at the letter she sees. Next seen, we see the same exact shot but with Jipyeong. He reads it, smiles, and looks up, and the camera pans up to show the cherry blossoms, indicating spring. It shows that his love for her grew over time. So ya'll saying he was just faking it...i'd like to have a chat w/ you
Few people only see that HJP fall in love after he saw her with NDS......But if you notice his childhood was not a normal one...He was too burdened to make his future that he never really thought about love...He fell for her without even realising and that's what make this more beautiful.
