I have heard him say that the acting thing was by accident what he really wanted to be was a musician and on full House he got to do both
He was able to perform songs that they paid him more money for he was able to record a song with the Beach boys that was on one of their albums so it wasn't just something for the show and for the character what have you that song was on one of their albums
The album is called Summer in paradise and it was the last album that they recorded before Carl Wilson died so for him to be able to do that and be a studio musician with them for a few years and go on tour with them was really a bonus that he did not expect and he still gets royalties from that to this day

John Stamos is one of a kind. He's only 5 years younger than me but still looks amazing in a suit. I was binge-watching "Big Shot" for the third time and as they say in this interview, He really is a supremely underrated actor. The writers of Big Shot are great and I constantly find myself shedding a tear with this or that turn of a phase, delivered SO believably by this guy. So glad he got off the sauce. He has a responsibility to the millions of people who never met him, but love him just the same, to stay above ground for as long as he can. OBTW, this perfect interview wasn't 100%.
