AdventureTruck.com is working on a NEW custom rooftop platform rack for the Honda Element to carry tents, gear, etc. This prototype includes: aluminum wind fairing, 8 steel cross bars, 2 steel side panels and 8 contact points for your Element. No drilling required. This rack will support any rooftop tent currently on the market, and weighs appox 63 lbs.
So we've designed it, now it's time to test it. Watch as we drive from Bend OR to Chelan WA, carrying a Freespirit M49 Adventure Series rooftop tent. And once we get to Chelan, see how the tent looks deployed on the roof of a Honda Element.
Sign-ups for this Element Rack are on our website: AdventureTruck.com
The prototype in this video has been tested for 3 months. Next, we're producing and testing our final design on 3 different Elements ranging in year. As soon as everyone is satisfied with the performance, we'll begin selling to the public! Final pricing isn't in stone, but we'll keep it as low as we can. Oh, and it's really easy to install:)
Nice! Your rack + RTT = affordable alternative to ECamper (Ursa won't ship for self/pro install) for east coast residents. Subscribed.
Very nice, however I love the tent top units with the sunroof hatch to enter and exit the tent from inside the truck. avoids the need for a ladder and you can stand in the hole to get dressed.
Element 👍🏻
This is amazing! Definitely want one
And we want you to have one!!! We'll try to be up and running by end of May.
Sadly, you'd have to buy an Element.
The all black look is super clean. What time are those?
I read some where that the weight capacity of the roof was really low, how did you manage to work around that?
We have 2 front and 2 rear foot pads, in addition to the 4 factory drilled mounting points. Then we run 6-8 crossbars which helps w the strength and weight displacement. And then the low profile is also helpful with keeping the factory mounting points secure.
Awesome video. Is your E lifted? If so , jmhow many inch spacer in front and rear?
Very nice, any word on release and cost yet. Setting up Element for Overland here in Colorado and was about to pick something up before I seen this.
Eaglevirtue i lové my E do you have a E , we all love Es
@Adventuretruck your set it is amazing love the roof top tent. My wife and I enjoy watching your awesome content. We would love one of these roof tops just cant seem to afford it at the moment. Its next on our list of things to get for our element. I would love to hear what you think about our setup we would gladly appreciate any feedback thanks brother stay safe out there.
I’m interested will make the drive to bend from Portland
Awesome brother
how are you guys pricing your racks more than 4runners and jeeeps?
I want one damn how much tho so damn awesome to have on the Element
lovely element
john smith I have 9 Elements, I am addicted to element.. I love them
"lovely element"
That is an oxymoron.
Did you paint the OEM wheels black or are those aftermarket? I love em!
Those are black wheel rims by TOPI, which I believe is a Honda OEM supplier. I got the whole set-up at a Honda Dealership.
How much does that model free spirit tent run? Also what are the dimensions of it? I'm 6'6 330 pounds.
any update this is what i like to get the rack looks good
ill take one.
Leavenworth! we go there every year....any plans on doing a second gen crv rack?
What’s the price running for that tent?
IDE like to know what external gas tank mount that is.
What size are you tires?
How much weight can the roof of a Honda Element support? Could you put two people on in that tent?
Nice !!!!
Yo tengo una honda element y la uso de hotel con mi novia está bien comoda la recomiendo
Where did you get that real gas tank with rack for your element?
where did you get the gas can and the gas can mount?
Awesome!
What ladder is that? I have a spoiler too and I’ve been looking for a ladder that’s compatible with my spoiler!
Anybody? Bueller?
Any update on thia rack for sale?
Or you could just fold the back seats of the element up to the side in about 5 seconds and sleep inside the vehicle.
My thoughts exactly..rack alone is little over a grand! Tent probably several hundred. ARB awning with a attactable tent is Much cheaper and practical I think. Ratber sleep inside the car and have stuff up top in cargo box.
I'll admit it does look nice tho
Better if it extended down to the ground.
Is the mattress pad built into it?
Ya, there's a nice one on that Free Spirit tent model.
Brennan’s
That ain't no truck....
I didn't think one could make an Element any uglier, but one can and one did.
this element looks perfect to me, go buy a mustang or something
@@ogmike6444 got a passport, you go buy a mustang or something
@@narq5099 the Passport is so bland comparatively. So.. congrats?
@@michaelnoto3891 Thanks!
