Nothing is permanent not even love. In this movie that psychological fact is discussed vividly. Inspired by the Shakespeare drama Othelo, but smatly adopted to the Indian culture and roots. A masterpiece of a good direction,script, music, lyrics with superb acting of the cast. End has made me speechless. An unforgettable movie.

wow such a wonderful movie- lots of people have adapted shakespeare's plays but this was the closest anyone could get and that to suit our country's culture and system- just perfect and so much reality it hardly looked like we are watching a movie- hats of to vishal bhardwaj and what an ensemble star cast each and every actor perfectly suited the characters like a perfect T. only slight misfit in terms of not speaking the haryanvi dialect was kareena but acting wise she was good too.
The best role was that of saif and he surprised me with his acting for sure and i never expected that he could do such roles-once again hats off to vishal bhardwaj to have taken that risk of casting him in that role and extracting the best acting out of him.
I came here after watching Maqbool (another very close adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth) and i will watch Haider otherwise my triology will be incomplete.
Mann, I was thinking just before reading your comment, that I have seen this story somewhere else. And just got reminded of "Othello" by Shakespeare which I saw last year. Damn bro!! Perfect depiction of characters.
Othello had already been adapted before in Indian cinema as "Kaliyattam" in Malayalam. Suresh Gopi also won a national award for best actor for that movie.

Saif ek jodi ke tarah Bipasha ko dinner outs main aur award ceremonies le ja rahi tha. Film Race ke dauraan ye donon kaphee kareeb aa gayi. Ye donon ek TV show main aagaye thi. Ek announcer ne Saif se saval poocha “tum donon in dinon bahut kareeb se deka hai party aur ceremonies main, agar Bipasha jaise ladki aapki zingadi mein aae to aap kya mahasoos karenge”. Saif kaha tha ki “vah pahale se hee mere zindagi mein hai” aur Bipasha ne sharam se muskura thi aur neeche dekthi hui. TV show ke baad, Bips and Saif ek jodi k tarah ek doosare ka haath thaame hue bahut kareeb se bahar nikal thi. Overall movie was good. Killing of kareena was shocking to me although director gone to this extent and showed where broken trust lead to. And main highlight of this movie was Saif . I never been a big fan of Saif ali but man he made me a biggest admire of himself. Saif very smoothly just overshadowed other actors and their characters. This movie would have been an average just like other movie but Saif just elevated it to top.
