I worked with lazer liner frame racks for many years. Its incredible all the measuring points they supply. And the lazer shoots a perfect line that you pull to. Frame racks have come a long ways in the 35 years I was in collision and restoration. In the process of gutting my 1987 300sdl for restoration quality paint. Will look better than factory with zero signs being painted.
I just lost my 49-year-old W114 two days ago-owned since new-when a 16-year-old rear-ended me at 25mph (while I was stopped to make a left handed turn). The rear end was a crumble zone, leaving my passenger compartment relatively intact. Amazing safety for its day. The car deserved a better ending than it received.

Oh, bummer! Glad you are okay--too bad about your car.

A lot of our car body repair shops here have that system. Cutting spot-welds is a pain.
