- In Episode 188 we discuss preparation. How important is it to prepare for what is coming, and more importantly, to get ourselves ready for heaven? There were two trees in the garden of Eden that were to determine the path of humanity. Only two choices, not three or more; black or white, no shades of grey. Two characters to develop, either the similitude of Satan or the similitude of Christ. The choice was theirs, and now the choice is yours.

Amen!! 💙Only 2 choices, either TOTAL obedience to God reflecting His character (obeying His perfect law of liberty) or serve Satan, be his slave, and burn with him. God wants us to reason, with clear minds, who's 'way' (Law) is better - our Creator God & Jesus, who is perfection/love/justice, or Satan (selfish & evil). If we hold onto any selfish trait or rebellion in our hart, we will disqualify ourselves from heaven.

What a wonderful episode, it is what we all needed hear and do. Thank you. This a passage from Christs Object Lesson(one of most favorite books of EG White) I look at as a pray.
“Lord, take my heart; for I cannot give it. It is Thy property. Keep it pure, for I cannot keep it for Thee. Save me in spite of myself, my weak, unchristlike self. Mold me, fashion me, raise me into a pure and holy atmosphere, where the rich current of Thy love can flow through my soul.”

I love how Prof puts Martin on the spot, and how Martin always honestly answers, sometimes with a guilty giggle (not because his faults are acceptable, but because he has been put on the spot) - it's refreshing! We are all sinners. None of us have an ounce of perfection. But we have Jesus. We are forgiven and in Christ we are being made perfect through daily dying to self, and momentarily handing our wills and our lives over to God - accepting the gift of His sacrifice. God is good.
A quote that helped me many years ago (and I still go back and visit for a refresher):
"The life we live is to be one of continual repentance and humility. WE NEED TO REPENT CONSTANTLY THAT WE MAY BE CONSTANTLY VICTORIOUS!" ---MS92, 1901

I was listening to this discussion and when Walter said at this moment as we are sitting here are there people killing one another , are there wars going on and people throwing bombs on others I thought this is what is happening here in my place.
There is so much lawlessness and chaos and we are going through a terrible time.
Recently my sister in law went for the annual meeting in a place which is a border between Manipur and Burma (Myanmar)and she said it was heart breaking to see Burmese mothers asking people to take their babies so that their babies would survive. Because of the war in Myanmar,thousands of Burmese have fled to Manipur. Their biometrics are taken and help given by the government and the Naga tribes .since many of them and they cannot work they are in extreme poverty and pathetic conditions.
And on the other hand it's a different story in some other places of Manipur which are the borders of Manipur and Myanmar where many Zho tribes from Myanmar fled to Manipur and they are allowed to settled permanently and many of the Zho refugees are used by powerful people belonging to the Kukis tribe to throw bombs every now and then and innocent people are killed.
Many young people even below eighteen years of age have taken up arms to defend or guard.whatever reasons may be its not right and very sad.
Then there is the social media war where one will mock and another will retaliate.
I pray that God will have mercy on the people who have lost their loved ones and who are still in relief camps since may 3rd last year. People of both the communities are suffering.
Please pray that both communities will forgive one another .only God can stop the war.please also pray the three Angels message will reach every person in my conflict ridden state.

We will NEVER see Holy Flesh only the mind of Christ wanting to be like Jesus . Perfection is a Goal . My step father molested me nearly every day of my life so I had a hard time w loving him my enemy …. I looked up the Greek work in that verse telling us to love our enemy and the word was explained “ a MORAL love “ meaning if my enemy is hungry feed him, naked clothe him ,sick help him
It was a relief to learn what love is , in this realm . We can only be perfect in our sphere as Christ was in His . Our preparation is a goal to be like Jesus ! We need to look at Christ and we will gradually change but WE will NEVER see ourselves as perfect. Ellen says none of us will know for sure until Jesus in His coming meets our eyes and gives us the look of love and acceptance

Keep in mind, Jesus did get into a boat and escape a few times. There are those who just wanna hang out in their sadness, with their cup half empty, dwelling on what they’ve lost instead of dwelling on what they can have.
I struggle with depression, but I never bring my depression out to other people. I take it to the Lord in my closet, where it should stay between me and the Lord. There’s enough sadness and hurt in this world without trying to bring down others. God has given us all portion of faith, and goodness. I heard someone say once, “There’s no excuse for ugly ugly” (inside and out).

I remember when I was faced to choose from the two powers. I knew that the power of righteousness would change me internally, but what caused me to hesitate was the external change I wasn't ready for. The LORD is merciful in meeting me where I was, in blessing me to fall in love with Him.

I needed to hear this. There are some people on TikTok which are calling themselves the true hebrews or true Israelites. And they are convince everyone who isn’t if their ethnicity/race will only go to heaven in the capacity to serve them to make up for their plight on earth…

Thank you for this message. Usually this type of message is unfortunately delivered by someone who claims that they've already obtained, yet accuse the brethren constantly. The truth is, that we all fall short of the glory of God, which is why we should be able to clearly see our great need to overcome - through Christ!

I think our problem is trying to do things for ourselves. Self-sufficiency. Because we don’t hear God’s voice always in answer to prayer, we just go ahead and do what we think is right and hope that God will approve our actions. It’s not easy to let go of our independence because we are tied in this body to sin. As we approach the end of time, we must let go of those things which are holding us back from a closer walk with God. May He make this happen in us.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and the lusts! If my understanding of this scripture is correct, we are not Christ's if we have not crucified the flesh with the affections and the lusts. This verse humbles me every time and I see more of my sinful side that by God's grace need to overcome and forsake.
You can't make anything right with those who want to continue in open sin. A literal brother does not mean a brother in Christ. You can forgive and pray that certain people will be in heaven, but it doesn't mean there will be reconciliation in this life. I think vague or undefined comments about forgiving and getting along with others can be unhealthy for co-dependants or victims of abuse to hear.

It is no degradation for man to bow down before his Maker and confess his sins, and plead for forgiveness through the merits of a crucified and risen Savior. It is noble to acknowledge your wrong before Him whom you have wounded by transgression and rebellion. It lifts you up before men and angels; for "he that humbleth himself shall be exalted." But he who kneels before fallen man and opens in confession the secret thoughts and imaginations of his heart is dishonoring himself by debasing his manhood and degrading every noble instinct of his soul. In unfolding the sins of his life to a priest corrupted with wine and licentiousness his standard of character is lowered, and he is defiled in consequence. God is degraded in his thought to the likeness of sinful humanity, for the priest stands as a representative of God. It is this degrading confession of man to fallen man that accounts for much of the increasing evil which is defiling the world and fitting it for final destruction.

The hardest time to pray is when we should pray. It’s okay to talk with God as to a friend: in kindness, reverence, gentleness, and high regard for them.
You know if you still have a guilty conscience you know the Holy Spirit is at work. Peace be with you all
“Satan saw that his disguise was torn away. His administration was laid open before the unfallen angels and before the heavenly universe. He had revealed himself as a murderer. By shedding the blood of the Son of God, he had uprooted himself from the sympathies of the heavenly beings. Henceforth his work was restricted. Whatever attitude he might assume, he could no longer await the angels as they came from the heavenly courts, and before them accuse Christ's brethren of being clothed with the garments of blackness and the defilement of sin. The last link of sympathy between Satan and the heavenly world was broken.
Yet Satan was not then destroyed. The angels did not even then understand all that was involved in the great controversy. The principles at stake were to be more fully revealed. And for the sake of man, Satan's existence must be continued. Man as well as angels must see the contrast between the Prince of light and the prince of darkness. He must choose whom he will serve.
In the opening of the great controversy, Satan had declared that the law of God could not be obeyed, that justice was inconsistent with mercy, and that, should the law be broken, it would be impossible for the sinner to be pardoned. Every sin must meet its punishment, urged Satan; and if God should remit the punishment of sin, He would not be a God of truth and justice. When men broke the law of God, and defied His will, Satan exulted. It was proved, he declared, that the law could not be obeyed; man could not be forgiven. Because he, after his rebellion, had been banished from heaven, Satan claimed that the human race must be forever shut out from God's favor. God could not be just, he urged, and yet show mercy to the sinner.
But even as a sinner, man was in a different position from that of Satan. Lucifer in heaven had sinned in the light of God's glory. To him as to no other created being was given a revelation of God's love. Understanding the character of God, knowing His goodness, Satan chose to follow his own selfish, independent will. This choice was final. There was no more that God could do to save him. But man was deceived; his mind was darkened by Satan's sophistry. The height and depth of the love of God he did not know. For him there was hope in a knowledge of God's love. By beholding His character he might be drawn back to God.” DA 761.2 - DA 761.5

What about taking medication like suboxone? Ive been on this medicine for 12 years now, in the last couple years ive found the sda church and my life had totally changed i now am saved and am obedient to His laws but im torn about getting off this medicine.. i also have arthritis and it helps with the pain ... i am just looking for opinions i guess but im pretty sure i should try to get off of this medicine i depend on ...thank you in advance for any suggestions or advice

Holiness/Love/Righteousness is actually a Person. We never ACHIEVE Him -- we can only RECEIVE Him. The cross made it possible for us to return to the kingdom where this is the universal principle -- as true for angels as for sinners.
