@@benbaker4198 Daki has killed 7 hashira without gyutaro, and tengen even said she is not upper moon material. That means at least 7 hashira were weaker than the weakest upper moon. The weak end of hashira rank could definitely be lower moon level.
Zenitsu didn't "unlock" the seventh form, he created it by himself to be able to match Kaigaku to avenge their master

Zenitsu created the 7th Form so he could feel like he was fighting alongside Kaigaku as an equal. He didn't create it for vengeance, he created it so he could feel like he was on equal footing with his brother disciple, he intended to use it alongside Kaigaku not to strike Kaigaku down, only his plans changed when he discovered what had happened

Zenitsu is obviously a hashira level. Despite him not mastering the other thunder breathing form, his mastery over the first form was a feat no one can achieve he made various variation of that form. And i think no one is able to truly master the first form of thunder breathing despite it looking so simple. Later on he also developed the 7th form and fun fact guys, Zenitsu sword has not broken once in this series. because he is a master of his breathing style.

If zenitsu stopped being scared and faced his fear against any demon and keep training to unlock other forms of thunder breathing he can easily become a hashira within a month

He didn't unlock any other forms of thunder breathing, he created the 7th form of thunder breathing.
Remember. First Form of Thunder breathing is the hardest of all of them. And since he developed different Styles of the First Form "Normal, Sixfold, Godlike Speed" he basically knows more than 1 Attack until he developed the 7th form

The prerequisite to be a hashira is to slay *a moon*. End of Series Zenitsu is easily hashira level at the start of the story (before they all get the marks).

The condition for being a hashira is if you slain 50 demons or 1 of the 12 kizukis(which he did), so yes he is by all qualifications a hashira at that point

Zenitsu created the 7th form in hopes that he could fight alongside Kaigaku as brother disciples, but in the end it was the 7th form that laid waste to Kaigaku instead.

@@Mel-Sqr yes but you also gotta remember that the last upper 6 were demons for more than 100 years so they could eat thousands of humans to get stronger and Kaigaku only was a demon for a few weeks so at that time he probably was lower moon 1 level. It is still an impressive feat and he is pretty strong but even the creator of demon slayer said that if kaigaku wouldve been a demon for just a few months Zenitsu wouldve died on the spot.

Zenitsu is definitely worthy of being the Rumble Hashira, He fought an Upper Moon demon alone and created his own form of Thunder Breathing and mastered the First Form that he was able to perform many different variations of it
Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Kanao & Genya were all Hashira level. “HASHIRA training Arc” - they ended up w/ 5 new Hashira afterwards. Go back & look, the manga gives subtle hints.
Not genya. His powers were amplified due to Kokushibo’s flesh and blood but it was temporary.
I would say he is worth the title because he did beat upper moon 6 without a mark which he a pretty good feat.
Zenitsu is definitely on a hashira level in the final arc. Being able to create a very strong form is a feat only a hashira or an equivalent can do.

To become a hashira you just have to defeat one of the 12 demon moons of kaigaku was upper moon 6 then we all know he would be at least lower moon 12 in strength. So Zsnitsu is hashira level, it's just the demon slayer corpse disbanded the same day.
I think being a Hasira isn't just about being able to beat Lower Moon or Upper Moon

first of all you need to defeat 50 demons or 1 of the 12K (wich you had right). BUT you also need to be rank Kineo (wich he wasnt at all) AND all the other hashiras must accept him as another hashira. so he was 1/3 of the way to become a hashira.

The coolest character when they were falling down in the infinity castle. Period.
At the end he’s definitely at Hashira level. Him and Tanjiro, both, are absolutely there. For the rest of the rookies it’s more debatable. Kanao may have been juuuust at the edge-low Hashira level-and Inosuke is probably near-Hashira, almost there; but Zenitsu and Tanjiro are clearly there. Zenitsu is something like Mid-Hashira, and Tanjiro something like HigherMid-Hashira.
Powerscalers are the worse thing that exist on the world of entertainment, but the industry needs them. If it depended on them every single work of fiction would be only about who is the strongest.
Zenitsu was most definitely Hashira level but only bc he “unmentioned in the show” mastered the transparent world. He meditated so deep that it appeared that he was asleep & literally fought with his eyes closed. He continued to use the strongest & only technique he knew in his breathing style. It was in the training arc that he learned to meditate while awake. Which in the second to last episode his head was seen bleeding & he was wide awake while in deep meditation. Never mentioned, now he is able to learn the other techniques on top of the one he created. When the arc is over he is deemed the apparently the fastest Hashira & one of the longest living out of all the slayers
He’s mastered the hardest technique in that breathing style he definitely Hashira level
i do remember yashiro said after tht, if zenitsu meet kaigaku a year later there's will change the course because kaigaku not yet manage to utilise his ability to it maximum...

The most important thing about this conversation are the forms, step 1 was the foundation and you had to master it to really master the other 5 forms. IF Kaigaku mastered the first step there’s no question he would have beaten Zenitsu, since Z mastered form 1 he was able to create a 7th. Thus catching Kai by surprise

7th form(Flaming Thunder God) was created by Zenitsu, its his own creation like giyu's 11th form and muichiro's 7th from.
Thunder breathing has only 6 forms from the sengoku era to the taisho era but 7th form is created and only used by Zenitsu in taisho era.
The 7th form is sun halo dragon but with thunder instead of sun, he realized he could do it when tanjiro copied his thunder clap and flash but added sun breathing to it

What's crazy is Kaigaku couldve have gotten a higher spot within a single year cause he was extremely deadly even Zen knew he was going to be a problem which is why he created the 7th form so he could show him that he's worthy of their master and together they could kill Muzan.

He IS hashira level. He mastered the 1st form of thunder breathing, the hardest one of them all, then later on went to develop his OWN form of thunder breathing. (7th form) It's intentional used was so Zenitsu could be equals with Kaigaku and fight alongside him, but then he used it to slice up Kaigaku instead.
Zenitsu could withstand ANY speed. With his 7th form being one of the fastest. He could've one shot Kaigaku at any time, but he wanted to hear an explanation from Kaigaku and suffered injuries becayse of that.
Not only that, Kaigaku isn't just ANY demon. There's a ton of demons out there that Muzan could've easily made Upper Moon 6. But he chose Kaigaku. (It's also probably because he was a demon slayer just like Kokushibou was.)
Also, he trained hard ever since he got that letter. He was definitely stronger than before. And imo, he could've mastered all other forms if he wasn't a coward when he was living with Jigoro(Gramps)
Kaikaku is practically a new born toddler. The foot soldiers of the demon slayer corp.. could have easily handled him.
