    Totality. Inorganic angular sound that sometimes comes together in a pattern that matches the rhythm of breath, punctuated by brief, flowing organic sound which is beautiful and somehow fragile. Beneath is constant emitted sound low rumbling, a dark vibration of sound that sometimes grows and overpowers so it is before everything else. The organic and inorganic patterns with the constant background radiating sound remind me very much of deep space radiation and the snapping together and apart of the things part of the universe. I love it for its totality. ❤

    this video was recommended to me, I suffer from PTSD. Due to that I have a hard time falling asleep, because I tend to think of what I've done and the amount of death I saw in combat.... I am a Iraq war veteran, this video helped me get a night free of nightmares and peaceful sleep..... Thank you!!!!!

      Montana cellist , what does it mean the cello is tuned to 432 Hz? is that instead of the usual 440? I don't know much about cellos and tuning, only guitar and piano to some extent. I know that every note has a different frequency and I've heard of solfeggio mediations and specific frequencies for emotional rebalancing, but never fully understood how that's supposed to work. would you please explain? thanks in advance

    • @Montanacellist
      @Montanacellist  7 лет назад +11

      The A (open string) is tuned to 432 hz. Everything else is tuned relative to that.

    • @Messiah36963
      @Messiah36963 7 лет назад +8

      Neli Prota ,1939 open A tuning was changed from 432htz to 440htz....
      432 resonates with the body. 440 does not.

She knows which one it is on RUclips to pick. Thank you for helping me get the small amount of sleep I have been able to. I don't sleep well and the 3 hours this plays I'm out and the journey as I fall asleep is beautiful.

      @Sum yi Wong Hey, I'm not a cellist but a pianist (I'm 20 years old). The only advice that I can give you is to not think about the people that are watching but to try to enjoy your playing and to become one with the song. Don't think if you will make a mistake or not, because if you do it's more highly that you will make one. Try to enjoy the beauty of the song that you are playing.
      Wish you all the best ❤️

    • @mailesiefert2655
      @mailesiefert2655 4 года назад +5

      Sum yi Wong hi! I’ve played violin for the past 9 years and a few years ago I began playing cello (I mostly play the cello now). Concerts can be a nerve wracking as you make them out to be, but that also means they can be as stress free as you want too. For the last 2-3 years I’ve started walking into concerts as if I’m in a normal class/practice and that helps a lot for me. Instead of focusing on the audience or being on stage, just keep your eyes on your music, (if in a group ensemble) your section/section leader, and the conductor. Everything else is irrelevant. Also, how often do you get to play the piece all the way though in practice? Usually not often because we work on the tricky parts, so take advantage of the fact that you get to hear the full song all together! Another way to keep your mind off the performing/concert itself. Hope these tips help, good luck and keep on practicing that cello!

They didn't want your kindness and Empathic thoughts around their ears this time. You're so full of light and love. I can feel it over here my friend. They've done the same things to many of us. It's in the water we drink, and the foods we eat. I know you have a good diet, but they control that too. I was given a cure to the thoughts and sounds. It was 40 days of non-clover honey and mothers milk (vegan mother). It cleaned my blood, which healed my cerebrum fluid and then my dormant DNA was activated, which then quieted the vibrations all around me. Now, the waves are like straight lines, and my smile is back. H.O.P.E. is still here! Much love!

      I'm all the way on the 25th floor, of my apt. and the "smart" authorities decided to build a basketball court on ground level. no prob. designed to have lights off at 10pm. you think that would stop youths??
      every night...2-4am, screaming, yelling, rattling fences....called police too many times they stopped trying too.
      can't sell this apt. and every night 2-4am, kids gather in droves n scream.
      I hope you feel better soon.
      I hope the kids stop coming to the courts after 10pm 😔😞

    Just had to share...I'm listening to this piece on my cell...then decided to open it up on my iPad to listen to it before falling asleep later. This leads to both platforms playing at the same time but at different points in the music...I can't tell you how amazing it is...it's like being in a wakeful dream. I can literally feel both hemispheres of my brain synchronizing. Thanks Montana for an beautiful experience!

    Montana..I keep coming back here. I found this music exemplifies what you are ..how you feel; capturing your innermost quiet hiding place. Right here. Right now. Holding you there making you feel and think..dream... .cry..love..sleep.The uncomplicated simplicity opens a door-a very different door for everyone. Sadness? Calming? Focused? Creative? Dark and sultry? Suicidal?..well, this ideation probably existed before Montana's music. Beauty is in the eye AND the ear of the beholder. Thank you for responding to your listeners with courtesy, understanding. You're not only gifted musically you also sound wise..."connected" emotionally, spiritually and NOT lacking in social graces to be sure.

    So many commenters saying it sounds sad! I dare say it represents the sound not of grief, but a very deep focus, the type of focus that involves "thinking with your whole body"(if that makes sense) Thus, it has a stark feeling (think of steel [since its man made]) because failing the most difficult problems hold grave consecuences. In other words, this isnt an emo piece but rather, realist one.
