The one thing about Rocket that people need to focus on(other than having the B.R.B placed 24/7 when there isn't a backliner): Know when to actually shoot the gun. Both shooting too much and not shooting enough. Shooting too much - Despite how satisfying it is to throw $1,000's worth of lead down range each mag, that thing is a PEASHOOTER at range. This thing has a falloff range of 10m, going to -60%(40% dmg) at 20m. So, unless you don't have better things to do(like heal, or squirreling away your beacon), try not to fire at the dps in the backline. Not shooting enough - Conversely... There's a reason why this thing has such a terrible range. It deals 16 damage per bullet, and fires at 720rpm. Disregarding headshots, this baby is putting out 192dps. The 800 hulk that that thinks he can just walk at you and kill you? Dead in ~4s, and that's only hitting body shots, half the time if you (somehow) hit all heads. This also goes for any structure/shield in your raccoon-sized death sphere. Ankhs, Groot walls, Strange Shield, hell ANYTHING getting too close that doesn't respect your personal space should be gone before you have to heal your team again. If you're cracked enough, that includes any divers who came at the king and missed.
Nurture the rookie rat players and let them grow strong yes yes, in this day an age of supports spamming nigh-invulnerability ults the +40% damage boost can do a lot work with the right combinations. But it is irrelevant if the rat does not know the fundamentals first.
I spammed right click to diamond 1 and just jet boosted away if i was getting dived, then continued healing. I very rarely died more than 1-2 times a match meaning the team had consistent heals the whole match. Very rarely if a tank was diving I'd beam them in the head but I felt like that was less useful than just running away and continuing to heal the team. It's that simple. I don't think I've ever had an easier time climbing in a game including Overwatch.
@@douxiepoo he's doing his job all the way to diamond, being carried means you did nothing or actively harm your team. Being rocket is literally survive and healing up time. In fact this means the opposite, he's carrying since he's actually providing consistent value for his team.
@@douxiepoo it is people like you who make people's games worse. As a support for every second you are looking for kills is 1 second your teammates can and will die. Especially in lower ranks where people are always mispositioning left and right. You are a support, not a DPS that can sometimes heal.

Venom + rocket ult one shots. Very good.
@@ElfireII Do you need to combo it with his right click or just the raw ult?
@@Etruscots just venom ult + rocket ult. It kills most squishes, including Luna, in one shot.

@@phantoomart699 yeah erm if hes not shredding their tanks and getting kills, he's getting carried.
