It will suck for future generations but like young gamers now think payed DLC and day one 30 GB patch is normal, future ones won't know any better either. When they will have to pay a subscription to use "jump" in a game after viewing 10 min of adds because of some patent, or have game time limited because you have a low "social score" they will think it's normal. I will probably die of old age before i finish my steam library, so by the time things go completely tits up i won't be around to see it.

What's funny is that Concord could have survived had they just made it a parody. Think about, have they cranked up the absurdity to 11 and just make it a whole tongue-in-cheek joke regarding how ridiculous things have gotten. The game would have still been around. It might have even been profitable.

Okay, I honestly do not understand how ANYONE liked Fable Anniversary edition because holy god damn was that game ugly as sin. It objectively looks WORSE than the original. All the characters lost their natural charm and the women were way less sexy than in the original. Not unless the PC version did some serious upgrades to the Unreal engine and made the game look like the original with its distinct charm and art design instead of baby's first unreal game. But I'm the kind of guy who gets super anal about my *_a e s t h e t i c s_* in my vidja games now more than ever. Not unless they added a ton of additional content in Fable Anniversary, I have 0 intentions of ever playing that over the original (where you could kill children) and The Lost Chapters.
2020 was not any kind of "golden age". Forced isolation and false reports from so-called 'experts' caused a slight bump in gaming because it was one of the few ways to actually be social for non-celebrity hypocrites or political figures that don't believe the law applies to them.
Not every game should be for every person and not every person should buy every game. These people who make games for the 'modern audience' are ignorant of this fact. Willfully ignorant. Blaming the potential customer base for not buying a game drives that potential customer base away. Reverse psychology might work on them, but not the customers. We're not going to pay money out of obligation or guilt for trash.
Even as a young teenager, once I discovered the games and shows I liked were censored, I was pissed. I don't need to be babied or taken care of by someone else. I can choose for myself what's offensive to me.
Wonder if the west will ever have games like summoner(PS2) and the bard's tale:remastered and resnarkled again

Concord had bigger issues thanjust the lag and lack of people at launch. the devs did just too many seemingly harmless to the fun decissions that summed together just didn't let you have fun, at least not as much as you paid for.
1 if you are forced to play every character anyway with very little customization scream about diversity all you want this is a zoo exhibition not representation, and you can't even play as what you want
2 if a gameplay is made so slow so normies can catch up what is there left for adrenaline junkies who usually play this genre? no surprise they didn't came to play it
3 if the maps in initial game are boring and have no fun mechanics that can be exploited, it is just a technical demo of character move set, it may as well be featureless open space
people just didn't care about a game like that especially if they would have to play to play it unless other similar games that transitioned to free to play model long time ago exactly because nobody wanted to buy them anyore

Well in a sense it doesn't really matter either way. It will suck for future generations but like young gamers now think payed DLC and day one 30 GB patch is normal, future ones won't know any better either. When they will have to pay a subscription to use "jump" in a game after viewing 10 min of adds because of some patent, or have game time limited because you have a low "social score" they will think it's normal.
I will probably die of old age before i finish my steam library, so by the time things go completely tits up i won't be around to see it.
loved Fable to pieces, and played (and replayed) Fable II till i couldnt hold a controler anymore, but fable III already felt a little bit to different, so honestly Fable II was the standart any followup game should come close to for being considered "good enough" but yeah thats just me. as for the failing games like Concord: Gamers dont like having BS shoved down their throat... and if u make a game thats "not for us" but the "modern Audience" u make a game for 0.0001% of gamers (if even!) and dont need be surprised if it bombs badly... * *smh* *
