I'm not sure why people are tripping? This is the pre-halving dip and it's coming at a good time because of all the selling. Buy on dips. Do not try and time the bottom of these dips because you'll never get it exactly right. Think long-term... relax!

I agree, the role of advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I remember few summers back, just after my awful divorce, I was in dire need of investing guidance to keep my head above water and thankfully, I came across someone of grit, helped a lot to grow back my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $350k to nearly 7figure as of today.

Hey moon boy, ppl that buy via blackrock is mostly retail. Average buy order is 13.000$. this is both bullish and bearish, it means big institutions are not in yet which is bullish for the future but it also means that those lettuce hands that are already in will very easily sell if they get scared. Saying that these ppl wont ever sell is outrageous. Of course they will.

in the same boat as you but ultimately there is no re-assurance because every known so called expert in bitcoin wasn't getting anywhere close to being right in 2017 or 2021. it was going to a million in 2017 but it hit 20k, its going to a 500k in 2020/2021 but it went to 68k. this time its going to a 240k but it will likely peak around 86k lol.....nobody knows

Maybe you only have enough to buy a bitcoin (and were planning to buy it all at once) and decided to pull the trigger and bought. Then 3 days later it drops 20%. Instead of dca’ing they already bought their allotment.
GBTC could have been the premier ETF, but they had to enter with their insane fees, and so now they're going to be relegated to the dust bin of history.

Is option buying/selling Taxable in UK? ETF or Indices Options aren’t asset. My understanding is that they are just spread bets on asset or indices so betting can’t be taxed
I just had an idea, what if the SEC said to GBTC, you already have such a headstart, it wouldn´t be a fair competition. To give you the conversion you have to keep high fees, until the field is somewhat equal to everyone!?

This halving is underestimated. Imho there is a big portion of miner never selling there BTC (e.g. miners from goverments which cannot buy bitcoin privatly)

In my view Greyscale showed their utter contempt for investors by deliberately keeping their fees at rates substantially higher than their competition. Are they the type of custodian you would want in charge of anything? I will be happy when GBTC have no bitcoin left in their fund!

Most do, but some do not.
They sell to exchange and etf buy otc...they are trying to shake people out of their positions

I know some folks are worried the fund price is crashing to zero because they are hearing a lot about the out flows. They don't understand how to research what is going on , they hear sound bites on the news and draw very uninformed conclusions. Therefore they sell.
For every seller there is a buyer at the other end of the transaction. Trade requires a coincidence of wants. Who is the buyer?

Clearly this slight pullback is a healthy and good thing. For those that recently started stacking, now is the time to lower your average coin price. Retail selling to the Blackrocks can only help the price moving forward.

I hope you’ll reconsider ending this channel anytime soon. Because of you, I have 1.5 BTC in cold storage and another $100,000 in FBTC and ARKB. I wouldn’t have had the sense of urgency to get it done without you. If the price for 1 BTC goes to $250,000, the goal may change from getting to 1 bitcoin to getting to 0.20. Your advice, admonishment, and motivation will still be needed by people similar to me that weren’t fortunate enough to cross paths with you in 2023. I think your message is still relevant no matter how high bitcoin goes, we’ll just have to adjust the goal as the price to obtain 1.0 btc becomes out of reach.
