Death, it's one of the biggest events that will ever take place in your life. We face death everyday, conscious or unconsciously of it; death lurks around every corner of our life. Like a lion waiting to catch its prey, death comes for us all in many shapes and forms; seemingly there is no one who can escape from the jaws of death. But did you know there is a reason why we die? The idea of death you're familiar with is only the tip of the iceberg. See we die because we've sinned against God. Death according to the bible is wages " for the wages of sin is death " (Romans 6:23). Because man sinned against God, we live in a fallen world, it was once perfect, but now in ruins. Now that sin exists, God is coming to judge the world In righteousness. "It's appointed a man once to die and after this judgement" (Hebrews 9:27) The standard he'll judge you by is the 10 commandments, God's moral law. He's so serious about sin that he gives anyone who sins the death sentence, the bible says you've earned it through sinning against God and God pays you in death. Each time you sin you build up his wrath. “The soul who sins shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) The punishment is the eternal fires of Hell " Where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:42) You will have to face God on Judgement Day. Will you go to Heaven or Hell? Here’s a quick test: 1.You shall have no other gods before Me. (Have you always loved God above all else?) 2.You shall not make yourself an idol. (Have you made a god in your mind that you're more comfortable with, a god to suit yourself?) 3.You shall not take God's name in vain. (Have you ever used God's holy Name as a cuss word?) 4.Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. 5.Honor your father and mother. 6. You shall not murder. (God considers hatred to be as murder, 1 John 3:15). 7. You shall not commit adultery. ("Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" Matthew 5:27-28; this also includes sex before marriage). 8. You shall not steal. (Have you ever stolen anything? the value of the item is irrelevant). 9. You shall not lie. (Have you lied even once? Including answering these questions). 10. You shall not covet. (Have you ever jealousy desired what belongs to others?) James 2:10 says, “the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.” The Bible says that God will punish all murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc. He will even judge our words and thoughts. If you have done any of those things, God sees you as guilty of breaking His law and the Bible warns that the guilty will end up in Hell. Will YOU be guilty on Judgement Day? "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) God sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross. Jesus took the punishment upon Himself and defeated death on the cross; not because you're Good but because God is rich in mercy. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus and God will grant you everlasting life. Then, Read the Bible and obey what you read. Pray something like this: "Dear God, today I turn away from all of my sins (name them). Today I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He is the only way for me to be saved. He is 'The way, the truth, and the life.'" Please forgive me, change my heart, and grant me Your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen." Two encores two make us all feel happy. Enjoyed this show from about the 50 yard line, under one of those satellite speakers. Grate memories of how crispy the sound was for Eyes. Phil was the MVP for this one throwing one touchdown after another with Jerry calling the plays.
Thank you so very much! I will watch this with my family and we will donate. So, so very happy Shakedown Stream is back...and with an unreleased show! Just awesome.
I would b still dancing but for my knees that don’t work so I have to b redone rite ! I’ve been a mess for too long long but to have these concerts I can wait until I get my appointments together at ur age of 75 also ! Wish me good luck 🍀👍🏼
I went there with no tickets, with a dude I barely knew who claimed he had a plan to get in. He had handwritten photocopied "passes" given out by staff from within the interior box seats. If you know the old sullivan stadium, one side had a multistory building facing the field, and had all of the corporate boxes and press, etc. Im guessing when someone had to leave, they were handing one of these "slips". He was given these passes by a friend from some previous show or event. We basically used white out, re photocopied them, and then wrote in that days date. We held our breath as we walked inside the lobby, and handed them to the doorman. Boom, we were escorted to the elevator. We went up and walked out an emergency door out in the stadium stands, and then walked our way to the floor. #adventure.
As I recall vaguely, I was at this show, it was my 33rd birthday, brought my 20 year old sister who was a smoke show in her day, think I still have show beverage cup at home. Have to double check, lol Also made Alpine Valley in 1989 with my mom, I think it was the 19th but I'm not sure. Some kids shared their candy with me. lol First show was Dillon Stadium, Hartford CT - 7/31/74, yeah, I was just 17 and didn't have a clue, Europe 72 brought me there! I have 25-30 stubs but went to many, many more shows than that!
Rosebud sounds so good. I pulled this show just to hear that clean crackle of lightning peeling off those strings. It was captured well on DV's 40 @Deer Creek. Spring n Summer '90 was really that last great tour. The last great American escape.
Great show! Its sad to see Brent singing the song he wrote for his daughter 12 days before he left this earth. I wonder if he and Jerry still jam in heaven.❤
@@michaelbrand7729 I saw the Grateful Dead 19 more times after that. After Jerry passed, I dropped out. In 2010 a friend of mine got me a ticket to see Furthur for my birthday. I was reluctant at first but...what the hey, it's a birthday gift... I'll check it out. I'm so glad I did. I was immediately back on the bus and been seeing Dead related shows ever since. JRAD and DSO are my favorites.
My first show with my best friend Gradon-who, smarter than I, had already gotten into the Boyz Summer ‘87 with Dylan-and still an absolute stunner to this day(he says as a jaded old head). The Eyes is just so brilliant, among many other highlights. It was SO hot that day, there were rumors of the “bad acid” going around in the lots, the lots themselves were still a total Wild West Shakedown experience(everyone was covered in dust from the unpaved lots), if I remember correctly(hey, my trip was good!) the whole lower bowl at Sullivan/Schaefer/Foxboro stadium was in the pit before the first set was over. It was a hell of a ride for an intro show…
nahhhh… hot? absolutely. they still had some dazzling and powerful runs well up into 1994. stylistically some of my fav GD music ever but that’s where so much of the joy is - in the subjective experience of beauty
agreed. when brent died, they lost something big. sure, they rallied for a few shows here and there in 91, 92, and 93 and of course they were great shows. but i would say from summer 89 to when brent died, truly last great run.
@novakaya they played some good shows after this summer tour, but they were never this solid and this consistent again. Summer 89 through summer 90 was their last big peak
I will miss all of this until there is none to listen to anymore but I sure would hate that to happen while I am still alive ! I need this most of the rest of my life until I die to b with Jerry + probably the rest of them all that have past us on so enjoy them while u still can ! I can’t imagine this ever stopping but for Bobby going with his things that happen with a big surprise at the ending in the speerthat opens up to the world so magical ! I wonder if Jerry came to him in a dream to show him a little of how to put it together ? ❤️🐇🐰
I remember running tanks in the lot after the show, a good day and a very wild night, old friends from Vermont made it special for me. Foxboro always rocked, thanks Grateful Dead.
I'll never understand why they were so quick to ditch the fender Rhodes that Brent used early in his tenure with the dead. It sounded great on shakedown, especially with the wah pedal. Brent was the star of early shakedowns before he got relegated to just adding background synth

Each time you sin you build up his wrath. “The soul who sins shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) The punishment is the eternal fires of Hell " Where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:42)
You will have to face God on Judgement Day.
Will you go to Heaven or Hell?
Here’s a quick test:
1.You shall have no other gods before Me. (Have you always loved God above all else?)
2.You shall not make yourself an idol. (Have you made a god in your mind that you're more comfortable with, a god to suit yourself?)
3.You shall not take God's name in vain. (Have you ever used God's holy Name as a cuss word?)
4.Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.
(Have you ever jealousy desired what belongs to others?)
James 2:10 says, “the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.”
The Bible says that God will punish all murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc. He will even judge our words and thoughts.
If you have done any of those things, God sees you as guilty of breaking His law and the Bible warns that the guilty will end up in Hell. Will YOU be guilty on Judgement Day?
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
God sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross. Jesus took the punishment upon Himself and defeated death on the cross; not because you're Good but because God is rich in mercy.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus and God will grant you everlasting life.
Then, Read the Bible and obey what you read.
Pray something like this:
"Dear God, today I turn away from all of my sins (name them). Today I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He is the only way for me to be saved. He is 'The way, the truth, and the life.'" Please forgive me, change my heart, and grant me Your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

@@en4017 I'll bet you think that by trolling around in spaces you have no business being in to try to bully people over to your warped religious views, you're one of the good guys. It's kind of sad you don't have anything better to do with your time. Maybe put the concert on and listen for awhile and then engage people directly on the same level, listening along with speaking.
@@en4017 take ur white guy in the sky malarky somewhere else. But do this take bout 4 hits of really good lsd and right b4 you peak take a couple Rios off a DMT rig. Beautiful Jerry.
Two encores two make us all feel happy.
I have said this before, will say this again, "Psychedelia is a state of mind, independent of the substances"
Happy Birthday Robert Hunter!✌️
I would b still dancing but for my knees that don’t work so I have to b redone rite ! I’ve been a mess for too long long but to have these concerts I can wait until I get my appointments together at ur age of 75 also ! Wish me good luck 🍀👍🏼
I was there. Great show!
Mannnnnn, this was such a great show/day, amazing times!
The sea of swirling humanity during Brent's all too short Memphis Blues B3 solo. That's what it was all about kids!
So good!❤⚡️
I went there with no tickets, with a dude I barely knew who claimed he had a plan to get in. #adventure.
Ahhhh yah that's the days before the accountants took over the biznez
Take a STEP BACK
My very first show a couple weeks after my 16th birthday. Shakedown opener!!!
As I recall vaguely, I was at this show, it was my 33rd birthday, brought my 20 year old sister who was a smoke show in her day, think I still have show beverage cup at home. Have to double check, lol
Also made Alpine Valley in 1989 with my mom, I think it was the 19th but I'm not sure. Some kids shared their candy with me. lol
First show was Dillon Stadium, Hartford CT - 7/31/74, yeah, I was just 17 and didn't have a clue, Europe 72 brought me there! I have 25-30 stubs but went to many, many more shows than that!
It was my 371st GD show ❤
Rosebud sounds so good. I pulled this show just to hear that clean crackle of lightning peeling off those strings. It was captured well on DV's 40 @Deer Creek. Spring n Summer '90 was really that last great tour. The last great American escape.
I love FOXBORO
Thanks for this! also...more please!
thanks guys. rip #RobertHunter80
great estimated!
Thank you!
What a show, the stadium security golf cart was very entertaining running up and down Shakedown street!
Man, the 90's were pretty awesome
Beautiful
We were there miss dead shows
Great show! Its sad to see Brent singing the song he wrote for his daughter 12 days before he left this earth. I wonder if he and Jerry still jam in heaven.❤
I love this show! It sounds so good.
Great show! Thank you.
Yes!!! And thank you!
I still have my ticket stub from this show
love it when Brent joins in on the Eyes chorus, as it wasn't always something he'd do.
2 hours and 18 minutes.....the Jerry solo kicks in....he is the master of guitar....and a great show.!!
My 2nd Dead show!
Jerry bringing his best Candyman game to Foxboro.
Great times.
Nice!! It was my 371st ❤
@@michaelbrand7729 YOWZA!
@@dunger1531 did you love it? Did you keep going to more?
@@michaelbrand7729 I saw the Grateful Dead 19 more times after that. After Jerry passed, I dropped out. In 2010 a friend of mine got me a ticket to see Furthur for my birthday. I was reluctant at first but...what the hey, it's a birthday gift... I'll check it out. I'm so glad I did. I was immediately back on the bus and been seeing Dead related shows ever since. JRAD and DSO are my favorites.
love, love the dead. that said, I never, ever have to hear rooster again.
So Fuckin Over Played Where were ESAU and Lazy Lightning
It was a hell of a ride for an intro show…
There is one more that can stand up to this one but this is as greatful as it gets but let’s wait for the next one 1️⃣!❤️🐇🐰🌹👻💕
July ‘90 folks. That was it, their last truly great run.
nahhhh…
hot? absolutely.
they still had some dazzling and powerful runs well up into 1994. stylistically some of my fav GD music ever
but that’s where so much of the joy is - in the subjective experience of beauty
agreed. when brent died, they lost something big. sure, they rallied for a few shows here and there in 91, 92, and 93 and of course they were great shows. but i would say from summer 89 to when brent died, truly last great run.
Yeah especially summer 93 and much of 91
All the 1990 and 1991 shows with Hornsby on piano are PRETTY FUCKIN GOOD
@novakaya they played some good shows after this summer tour, but they were never this solid and this consistent again.
I saw a lot of 1989 and 90's, but missed this one.
I attended every GD show in 1989
All 73 of them❤
I'll never understand why they were so quick to ditch the fender Rhodes that Brent used early in his tenure with the dead. It sounded great on shakedown, especially with the wah pedal. Brent was the star of early shakedowns before he got relegated to just adding background synth
