    I've had tinnitus for a year now and been managing somewhat well in my opinion. What I found that helps a lot on my day to day are Gingko Biloba and Magnesium Threonate as well as gentle rain sounds on a small speaker to help me sleep at night - in fact I sleep really well with it on. Rarely any disturbances with it on to be frank. Doctors in the UK are just useless so I've had to find ways to manage this on my own. If I can do it, you guys can too. It'll take time but teach yourself to stay calm and pay attention to other things when it's bothersome. Play fast paced games on your phone, Playstation, PC, etc. Ultimately, the brain will create new neural pathways to help ignore T. Let us stay postive boys and girls!

    What is it about sleeping that we don't hear our tinnitus? Can we adapt or improve our mind reactions while awake that sleeping provides?

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 месяца назад

      During sleep, our brain activity changes, and certain mechanisms come into play that can affect our perception of tinnitus. For some people, the distractions and sensory inputs during wakefulness can make tinnitus more noticeable, while the relaxation and reduced external stimuli during sleep can lead to less awareness of the ringing or buzzing sound.

      Absolutely, there is promising research underway focused on hair cell regeneration as a potential treatment for hearing loss. Scientists are exploring various approaches and technologies aimed at restoring damaged or lost hair cells in the inner ear, which could ultimately lead to significant advancements in hearing restoration.

    Thanks for the interview..I have a question for dr.jakie do you have any hearing loss and what type of tinnitus do you have you explained there are 3 diff types ?

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 месяца назад +3

      We just spoke with Dr. Jackie, and this is her response: I do not have hearing loss, however I do have damage to my cochlear hair cells. This was detected by Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE's), which is a common test that is done for patients with tinnitus who have "normal hearing" according to traditional hearing tests. My tinnitus is most likely due to chronic ear infections when I was younger which would fall under the cochlear sub type. I also had stress and anxiety around my tinnitus (and life in general) which would fall under the central sub type.

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 месяца назад +1

      I'm sorry to hear that you're having a tough time dealing with it. You can try switching the headset from one ear to the other periodically to give each ear a break. Taking regular breaks from wearing the headset can also help reduce strain. Additionally, incorporating sound therapy, such as soothing background sounds or white noise, can provide relief and create a more comfortable environment for you.

      Point we missed the point I think 🤷🏻‍♀️
      There(s) no element visual to the sound Tinnitus - and no I don't think you can see the where about(s) I'm coming from ⁉️ how can you❓️you did'nt readily answer the question relative to the sound/s tinnitus personally more importantly process there current(s) (they're ALIVE pun intended)
      Again, as the expert experiencing Tinnitus - elementary, primary it(s) level basic(s) what did the current(s) relative to the sound(s) present personally to your understanding too/off a rather noisey/chaotic space ⁉️
      Throw away all the book(s) everything you've taught yourself up unto this point in time specific to Tinnitus.
      Go RAW with it now, really, really listen to the people who have lived with a space intelligent called Tinnitus a longtime in their life, it begin(s) start(s) with SELF Acceptance, your've got it don't wallow/feed into the negative do the spike emotional(s)
      I will not, shall not follow the negative reactional/emotional's of Tinnitus NAH not going there.

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 месяца назад

      No, it's not unusual to experience ringing or white noise sounds, known as tinnitus, at any age. However, it's essential to address any concerns about your hearing health early on. I suggest talking to your parents about scheduling an appointment with an audiologist.

      It's understandable that there might be confusion about titles in healthcare professions. Audiologists typically undergo four years of doctoral training, which grants them the title of "Doctor of Audiology" (Au.D.). So, while they may not be medical doctors (MDs), audiologists are indeed doctors in their field of expertise.

    Hi, could you give some advice about walking/hiking? Recently I noticed wind gusts reaching 115db. I was shocked as the weather forecast stated they it was a moderately windy (i.e. very typical) day - wind speeds were forecast at only 20mph although with stronger (30mph) gusts. Is ear protection required for exposure to light/moderate winds (I also notice that even light winds often gust to over 90db). Someone did mention it's generally less of an issue as it's not in a confined space but I'm unsure whether that's correct or not. Thanks for the resource you provide.
