i felt like i'd just finished an emotional drama movie when the little credits thing rolled at the end. I saw and appreciated your vision for this video, and honestly it was what i needed after a stressful therapy session and subsequent panic attack. i can breathe easy again. thank you.
Its the Cinematography along with the message that's really hitting home. Its hard to deny that ballads are that recognised in the industry yet most of these are really relatable with the fewer audience and kpop fans in general. Personally I love me a ballad and no one can change my thoughts. thank you wntrosy for this. I really needed this.

I feel like this new voice is really effective in sharing the message of the video! It feels really human compared to the robotic voice and I liked that. Also, I really agree with the video! I typically listen to quirky and fun k-pop music, but whenever I do listen to quieter music it feels reliable and comforting which I need at times (especially in this fast paced life). Amazing video!!
I agree with you person. I love happy songs and loud ones but there is a time where I just want to rely and feel the music, obviously there is better ballads than others but still, I appreciate those kind of songs
there is just something about v's layover that i cannot fully grasp about, i cannot even put into words how good this release is in its entirety. it has six songs and again proves how quality is always over quantity. and yes, slow dancing may be THE k-pop song to have ever been released. but i want to give kudos to the b-sides as well, especially for us because it's such an ethereal song. i am so happy taehyung took his sweet time when creating this from scratch. especially thanks to you, winterosy, for putting into words how i feel about layover.
I appreciate the inclusion either way so much. IVE is largely popular for the general public, so when either way was relased it was seen by many as a toss off song just to fill in their discography. I think either way was entirely purposeful and needed. The lyrics amd message amd music video were displayed perfectly imo. Idk the song just feels complete if that makes sense. I think it was a great last section of the video. Banger video per usual, couldn't have asked for more thank you
layover and taehyung appreciation is all I'm here for🤧 layover is my home, not even kidding..... like i literally just quietly plug my earphones in and listen to it on repeat everytime i feel a little down and the way it always ALWAYS works....taehyung's voice is so.....serene, so calming, it's just......inexpressible. i love him, i love him i love layover and i love BTS, there's no going back.....
One of the best kpop related video I saw on RUclips. I genuinely love ballads songs and I am happy to see a video that shares my feelings about this genre. Moreover, the editing, music choices, the new voice, everything was perfect and sooooooo pleasant to watch. And I do love Layover too 🥰
Bittersweet and slow dancing and hope world , screen time by epik high ( ft hoshi) are my pinnacle of k-ballad so emotional yet so chill ( also a special mention to queen blue side)
Even thought I am a bubblegum type of song enjoyer, my favorite type of song will always be ballads, two of my favorite instrumets are piano and violins, the use of those two in ballads makes me levitate, theres something so calm in ballads and the emotions that come across, some of my favorites songs of all time are One Of These Nights by Red Velvet, Ice Cream by Twice, Promise & Starry Night by Fromis_9, etc. I have no idea how to express my love for ballads or my feelings about things in general, but the love that I have for them is as genuine as it can be.
i really love how i saw you improve throughout the years !! your videos are one of or even the only ones i genuinely wait to have a calm 30 mins and sit down and just enjoy them ! the editing the content the way you phrase things is really incredible !! i find your videos very moving and deeply thought out; thank you for prioritizing quality over quantity (also the voice is a little scary of how real it sounds but i think its great !! ive enjoyed your videos no katter if you used robot voice, this ai voice or no talking at all, because theyre always well done no matter what ! please use the voice / sound youre most comfortable with :) )
layover getting the recognition it deserved. we love to see it! so many nights when i felt like i have nothing, i have played this album which eventually made it easy for me to calm down and fall asleep….music,i love music so much! another great video winterosy
Finally someone making a love letter to rnb and especially krnb and the ballads. I too love them a lot. I actually fell in love with kpop through ballads. V, made one of my favourite album and I can't even explain how good it was, it gave me something that only people like keshi, iu or this new era of bruno mars could give me and I was waithing for this since stigma and singularity. As for the ballads since I listen to seventeen and ost I never realy missed them, but it's refreshing see them getting more attention
I AM OBSESSED WITH LAYOVER and i’m so glad bcs tae is my bias and i love him sm, the fact that his album is exactly the type of music i like makes me feel so so so good!
I think this new narrating voice was petfect for this kind of video. Even though I love the iconic robotic voice this calm and soft narration really enhanced the message of the video ❤
I keep telling myself that I don't like ballads or slow songs. But my favorite songs always ends up being the ballads of an album. The musical gems that are way too underrated.
Winterosy should be considered the best content creator. Man, you are a gem in this ktube community. Edit : Damn I got a heart from Winterosy. My dream came true.
Yet another masterpiece of none other than, the legendary winterosy. And as always you are speaking facts. I love pop music but I also love the music which I can listen to during star gazing or gazing at the night sky and feeling the gentle wind on my face. ✨🤍
Layover is such a masterpiece, it may not be for everybodys style, but as V said it is his introduction to his style of music which is very different to Vs style as a bts member. For him he prefer growth rather than charts. And im very proud of him and im very excited on what he will offer in the future❤❤❤
quiet music like this is really healing and comforting to me, so it feels good hearing someone appreciating it :) as an introverted and shy person, and as a dancer music is my everything (sorry it sounds a little cheesy), like I genuinely love all kinds of music as long as it makes me feel something (except if it makes me feel annoyed lmao) and when I feel down, this type of music is like having someone comforting me/understanding me also, that new voice is so soothing, and it sounds so real, I love it thank you for this video, it was really well done and I had a really relaxing time 💆🏻♀️
I relate to you so much, thank you so much for making this video. The way you worded everything, the edition and the songs were enough for me to break into tears, not because this makes me feel sad but because I feel understood. While I don’t consider my self to be completely introverted, I value my time alone the most, and I need so much time alone with my feelings to feel fulfilled, that’s why music is so important to me, especially this type of music since it helps me to go through hard situations. Nap of a star and Slow dancing and Either Way are some of my favorite k-pop songs ever, I’m glad someone else appreciates them❤️🩹
you’ve managed to verbalise everything i’ve been feeling abt this for ages… thank you so much for the video- the editing, the thought behind it, i absolutely love your channel
this video singlehandedly ignited my love for, as the title says, the "quiet side of k-pop." as someone who primarily listens to upbeat music and only casually dabbles in rnb, i have never paid any mind to slower songs. i'm not really the type to listen to sad songs, and before this video, i guess i subconsciously associated ballads with sadness. however, your explanations and examples completely changed my mind, and now i'm off to listen to layover for the first time LOL didn't mean to get all sentimental but i can't help it - as a long time viewer your videos have consistently touched my emotions and this video is no different :) the new voice feels so much more immersive, and although i know it's not a real person, it truly accentuates the love and authenticity behind your words. please keep doing what you're doing!
This year Layover was my favorite album. You express with your words all my thinking and feelings. This sensation of feel in peace with myself surrounded by noises or conflicts out of me. I want write all my emotions about all songs of Layover but sadly, English isn't my mother language but your video says perfectly how I feel. Thanks for your beautiful words.💜
like you said, the length of the videos u upload affect ur channel and despite that i appreciate that you don't care about it. one of the things that make your content great is the pacing and overall flow. both the visuals and narration connects really well and just UGHHH we fawking love u winterosy your videos are really amazing idk what else to tell u to express how much i enjoy your content. this video gave me so much comfort and it made me happy that someone else GETS IT. i relate to your love for ballads so much :( it might not be a genre enjoyed by a lot but it's really important for us people that do love it!
Hi winterosy! I just want to say that on the other side of Earth in the late night there is a girl whos watching your amazing video and really appreciate your personal messages! Your thoughts are way more interesting to listen to rather than a usual top of some k-pop songs. I wish you everything good and hope that love for music that connects us will lasts forever
absolutely LOVINGGGGGG these recent videos, its so creative and you put so much thought and dedication into them and it is TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! love the video and love you
youre probably my favorite youtuber rn and i cried through the video cause i related so much LMAOO love these types of videos thank you for the beautiful visuals and personal words
I love the way you explained everything in a clear way. I can very much relate to all your points, since i myself love slow and chill songs. I am also a introverted person, and i really love how you explained that personality trait’s connection with chill music. My sleep schedule is not the best, and im often up till 3 am on school days, which isn’t good, but 1 of the reason why i do so, is because that’s the time i can geniunely find myself without any disturbance. And i do that by listening to chill music while letting myself flow into my thoughts. It’s really nice, and it’s something anyone can do, either if your introverted or not, i think everyone just needs a little bit of that. I also do it if i’m at my lowest, and that’s when it helps the most.
I saw slow dancing then through the night, and when I was thinking I couldn't resonate with you more than this, then came nap of the star, and either way Love your recommendations ❤
Your editing game has been so incredible in the last videos! Actually I think this is one of the best videos you made so far, and personally, i completely agree with your message!!
I can relate to this so much. I always say that the style of music most touching to me is melancholy. This is a broad reaching term, but it encompasses all of the same genres you mentioned but the songs have a stronger hint of sadness to them. I’m a high extrovert, but the dichotomy of being slowed and centered with music of this style truly moves me. Music saved my life when I was depressed and has always been an expression of my emotions and also a place I go to when I want to feel other emotions. It’s a centering point and a guiding place for me. These genres have been the most powerful in that journey for me. This video helped me see that deep love for music again. Splendid video
Beautiful video, man. Literally brought tears to my eyes (granted, I may just be extra emotional right now because of the Karina news. But my point stands! 😅😂). I agree with everything you’ve said. Ballads have always made me feel things I can’t explain, especially the ones you’ve mentioned here. “Like Water," “When This Rain Stops," and “Through the Night” never fail to bring tears to my eyes and give me full-body chills. The power that ballads have to make us feel things is remarkable, and though I generally try to listen to upbeat music to boost my mood, the value of ballads in quieter times cannot be understated. And I’m glad you highlighted that in your characteristic movie-quality style. Hopefully people will come to appreciate the beauty of slower songs sung with passion. And side note, the new voice sounds great! Definitely a big step up in my opinion. Thank you for another excellent video! This may be one of my favourites. Looking forward to the next one!
This is one of the best videos i've seen in a while. It's beautiful the way you describe the same feelings i've experienced with specifically all the songs you mentioned. I always lack of words when it comes to explain how this or that ballad song makes me feel, but you did it exceptionally; it's exactly what i've been wanting to say this whole time. As a fan of this genre, I genuinely cried because of your words. Thank you for creating this video.
Absolutely Loved the POV of your Musical taste i can relate to you, Layover Is my Most fav Kpop Album of all time and im not Exagerating this how u make Top tier Jazzy R&B Album. V did amazing Job looking forward to his another album too.
I resonate so much with the message of your video, although i love the pop side of korean music, i still find myself more attached to the ballad b-sides because they made me feel more feelings. I call them my comfort songs ❤
You are the best K-pop editor out there. I mean it! I got so immersed in the video that I felt I was watching a short movie. Surely you'll get to great places as a professional editor.
bro well said like holy ive always wanted for someone to make this kinds of videos mainly talking about different types of music and giving importance and appreciation to music in general no matter what type of genre it be. Keep it up man u inspired me to start editing videos again well done !!
I am SO glad that you make these kinds of videos where you can just turn all the lights off and dive in. Plz don't stop making long ah videos because there will always be an audience who appreciates things the same way you do. Also, I'm so glad you GET layover. I've seen way too many people say how it's "boring", which I can tolerate but when they go as far as to say it's "bad" I get annoyed. I'm gonna be honest, it took its time to grow on me but oh my God, when it did, I had a newfound appreciation for the jazz genre in general, of which I wasn't really a fan of before. I love the way the music and Tae's voice blend together so blissfully and listening to the songs with images from the mvs flashing in and out of my mind is just so surreal. It's the feeling of sunrays dancing over your face as you lie in a hammock with distant sounds of children giggling as they play around. The best time to listen to layover imo is in the middle of hot summer, in your room with the lights off, ac on and drapes agape letting the sunrays in, curling up with your favourite novel. Either way is the only song Ive released other than love dive that I genuinely loved. I don't really get their usual style of music and while I can always appreciate their works, they're just simply not for me. But this. This was it. I also wanted to talk about tripleS since their music has been top notch from the start. I was sceptical about girls capitalism but even so it's not a bad song. Their most recent album has hidden jewels and I really want people to check them out and give them a chance.
Since we're talking about this topic, i want to recommend some slow songs i really love. Winter by Handong Paradise and Entrance by Siyeon Child by Han Seungwoo Microphone by Young K Galaxy by Ladies Code All of them have a very soft spot in my heart.
Maybe our tastes are similar. The songs you mentioned are of my fav songs of all times. I really appreciate the effort you put into the video. Super relatable and I feel so proud.
This is perfect recently ive gotten into more indie and newjazz and pluggnb genres outside kpop they are all so fun to explore and have amazing communities and I want to thank NEWJEANS as a group for existing ever since their debut my whole listening style changes tho it means now I listen less to kpop but They helped me find the perfect everything. It also made me appreciate K-pop sides more and realise how great it would have been if Kpop companies promoted these b-side equally like how ador does and giving each song a chance to shine.
i cried.. this video is so beautiful and i agree w everything said in this video. Although i love hard hitting , strong bass songs ballads will always have my heart. My favorite ballads are Good Enough by Xdinary Heroes , Nap Of A Star by TXT(Of course) End Of The Day by Jonghyun and About Time by Hoppipolla. These songs helped me through my toughest times and made me happy. Ballads are so hated but truly the most beautiful.
I truly loved this video that it almost made me tear up, i could see your sincerity through those words and even if I don’t have the same love for this genre in kpop I could totally resonate with what you were trying to say and you painted a wonderful masterpiece with this video. It felt like the what you were saying connected wonderfully in the music and it made me feel so comforted and understood, I feel like now I have to rediscover this genre, thank you for everything 💗💗

Banger video per usual, couldn't have asked for more thank you
Slow Dancing and Either way are masterpieces
layover and taehyung appreciation is all I'm here for🤧 layover is my home, not even kidding..... like i literally just quietly plug my earphones in and listen to it on repeat everytime i feel a little down and the way it always ALWAYS works....taehyung's voice is so.....serene, so calming, it's just......inexpressible. i love him, i love him i love layover and i love BTS, there's no going back.....
Oh to get heart from the @winterosy
Lowkey teared up during your IU voice over. Hit me in my feels. Love this video!
Slow dancing (and layover) was incredibly done! It felt very authentic to him, and I love that
Even thought I am a bubblegum type of song enjoyer, my favorite type of song will always be ballads, two of my favorite instrumets are piano and violins, the use of those two in ballads makes me levitate, theres something so calm in ballads and the emotions that come across, some of my favorites songs of all time are One Of These Nights by Red Velvet, Ice Cream by Twice, Promise & Starry Night by Fromis_9, etc. I have no idea how to express my love for ballads or my feelings about things in general, but the love that I have for them is as genuine as it can be.
i really love how i saw you improve throughout the years !! your videos are one of or even the only ones i genuinely wait to have a calm 30 mins and sit down and just enjoy them ! the editing the content the way you phrase things is really incredible !! i find your videos very moving and deeply thought out; thank you for prioritizing quality over quantity
(also the voice is a little scary of how real it sounds but i think its great !! ive enjoyed your videos no katter if you used robot voice, this ai voice or no talking at all, because theyre always well done no matter what ! please use the voice / sound youre most comfortable with :) )
tysm
layover getting the recognition it deserved. we love to see it! so many nights when i felt like i have nothing, i have played this album which eventually made it easy for me to calm down and fall asleep….music,i love music so much! another great video winterosy
Even though I love the iconic robotic voice this calm and soft narration really enhanced the message of the video ❤
this video is painfully beautiful, I loved it.
especially, closed with "Enhanced Flower", a song which evokes something in my soul.
I loved it.
i love the nap of a star appreciation
I keep telling myself that I don't like ballads or slow songs. But my favorite songs always ends up being the ballads of an album. The musical gems that are way too underrated.
Winterosy should be considered the best content creator. Man, you are a gem in this ktube community.
Edit : Damn I got a heart from Winterosy. My dream came true.
You edited your comment so yt took away the like😭
@@Yawnznn926 wtf youtube 😭
WHY IS THIS ENTIRE VIDEO SO SOOTHING AND HEALING? It feels like a warm hug.
And im very proud of him and im very excited on what he will offer in the future❤❤❤
quiet music like this is really healing and comforting to me, so it feels good hearing someone appreciating it :) as an introverted and shy person, and as a dancer music is my everything (sorry it sounds a little cheesy), like I genuinely love all kinds of music as long as it makes me feel something (except if it makes me feel annoyed lmao) and when I feel down, this type of music is like having someone comforting me/understanding me
also, that new voice is so soothing, and it sounds so real, I love it
thank you for this video, it was really well done and I had a really relaxing time 💆🏻♀️
as a chill songs/ballad kpop and krnb enjoyer, thank you winterosy 🙏
I relate to you so much, thank you so much for making this video. The way you worded everything, the edition and the songs were enough for me to break into tears, not because this makes me feel sad but because I feel understood. While I don’t consider my self to be completely introverted, I value my time alone the most, and I need so much time alone with my feelings to feel fulfilled, that’s why music is so important to me, especially this type of music since it helps me to go through hard situations.
Nap of a star and Slow dancing and Either Way are some of my favorite k-pop songs ever, I’m glad someone else appreciates them❤️🩹
There it is, the love letter to quieter songs in kpop I've been looking for for years. Thank you 🩶
you’ve managed to verbalise everything i’ve been feeling abt this for ages… thank you so much for the video- the editing, the thought behind it, i absolutely love your channel
this video singlehandedly ignited my love for, as the title says, the "quiet side of k-pop." as someone who primarily listens to upbeat music and only casually dabbles in rnb, i have never paid any mind to slower songs. i'm not really the type to listen to sad songs, and before this video, i guess i subconsciously associated ballads with sadness. however, your explanations and examples completely changed my mind, and now i'm off to listen to layover for the first time LOL
didn't mean to get all sentimental but i can't help it - as a long time viewer your videos have consistently touched my emotions and this video is no different :) the new voice feels so much more immersive, and although i know it's not a real person, it truly accentuates the love and authenticity behind your words. please keep doing what you're doing!
15:54 THIS TRANSITION GAGGED ME!! i didnt even realized either way started playing until you said it but it flowed!! so!! well!!
Layover by V, It is a masterpiece, I will wait patiently for more productions of him in the future 💜
absolutely LOVINGGGGGG these recent videos, its so creative and you put so much thought and dedication into them and it is TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! love the video and love you
youre probably my favorite youtuber rn and i cried through the video cause i related so much LMAOO love these types of videos thank you for the beautiful visuals and personal words
I saw slow dancing then through the night, and when I was thinking I couldn't resonate with you more than this, then came nap of the star, and either way
Love your recommendations ❤
the editing ate again!!!!! and the new voice scared me....
This video made me tear up a little. You have a way with words…
Ballads have always held a special place in my heart. Thank you for making this video.
I love your cinematic video essays they are soo good and now with the robotic voice gone it feels even more real , I loved ❤ it
Your editing game has been so incredible in the last videos!
16:02 I’m OBSESSED with ive’s slow songs they truly mastered it
This is one of the best videos i've seen in a while.
V did amazing Job looking forward to his another album too.
wow, this has to be my favorite video of yours. thank you so much for making this :)
thanks for putting enhanced flower as outro, fully deserved. and im very much love your music taste
Wow! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on quieter songs. Great video and the voice is perfect!
One of your best videos! Keep up the great work!
Your voice and your interpretation is the most “felt” emotion occurred to me in the recent times. You moved me
I love this video, it encapsulates what I feel about my favourite songs. I nearly cried when nap of star came on ❤
Me too 😭💗
bro well said like holy ive always wanted for someone to make this kinds of videos mainly talking about different types of music and giving importance and appreciation to music in general no matter what type of genre it be. Keep it up man u inspired me to start editing videos again well done !!
i really appreciate the longer videos! i also like that opportunity to let an idea sink in :)
This video was like a hug. I completely agree with everything you said. I loved it. 💝
Since we're talking about this topic, i want to recommend some slow songs i really love.
Winter by Handong
Paradise and Entrance by Siyeon
Child by Han Seungwoo
Microphone by Young K
Galaxy by Ladies Code
All of them have a very soft spot in my heart.
It also made me appreciate K-pop sides more and realise how great it would have been if Kpop companies promoted these b-side equally like how ador does and giving each song a chance to shine.
lots of songs i love in this video
Your editing is so gooooddddd
Omg the new voice is a thousand times better. It sounds so natural!
i cried.. this video is so beautiful and i agree w everything said in this video. Ballads are so hated but truly the most beautiful.
either way changed something inside of me
I truly loved this video that it almost made me tear up, i could see your sincerity through those words and even if I don’t have the same love for this genre in kpop I could totally resonate with what you were trying to say and you painted a wonderful masterpiece with this video. It felt like the what you were saying connected wonderfully in the music and it made me feel so comforted and understood, I feel like now I have to rediscover this genre, thank you for everything 💗💗
i just love when winterosy posts. i felt like crying every 5 minutes.
