That is incorrect. Noodles are narrow and long, while pasta is any flour and water/egg dough shape. Also, noodles in the original asian cuisine is a different dough. Its more alkaline, doesnt use eggs and has a lower amount of hydration. The terms often get interchanged depending on the language spoken. For example, in norwegian, nudler (noodles) is ONLY used for the ramen kind.
