Down by the river is the old Fort Mason of frontier days. Fort Mason was established on July 6, 1851, in present-day Mason County, Texas. Fort Mason was Robert E. Lee's last command with the United States Army. Across the road is a large acreage used as a hunting club. There's a program where orphans are taken to learn how to hunt game in Texas. Nice video.

The next Total Eclipse for our area (NC,SC) is suppose to be 2078. Dont think I will make it to that one, I would be 108 LOL!
