Hi Eric, I will be traveling on the Prima in February 2025 and the Viva in January 2026. Because of your review I will certainly be enjoying the food in the Palomar and I’m looking forward to eating the octopus appetizer, I’ve only had octopus in Cozumel in their ceviche. I have already been looking and trying to figure out where on the Prima and Viva I would spend my included specially free at sea and I knew one of them would be Cagney’s and now I know. On the viva I’m going to get extra dining package because I’ll be on it for 14 days. Thanks so much for taking your time to do this review, I really appreciate it.
I was seated at 8:45 PM, bad service. So dark that I couldn't photograph the entrees and there was some construction going on at the 'Race Track' above me . Sounded like fire works concussion with out the visual play for the entire meal. I wouldn't go again.
Im going on the Prima in March. I read the dining package includes 1 app, 1 soup/salad, 1 entree and 1 dessert. I also hear people say you can get unlimited apps/dessert and 1 entree. What is it? Dont want to be that guy on the ship!
If you are using your status free dinner it’s been 1 app 1 entree 1 dessert. If you are using your free at sea or paid dinner its really up to the waiter but I had no issues getting the unlimited apps and desserts but still one entree.
The food looked very haute cuisine, beautifully plated. I might buy an additional night of specialty dining. It definitely looks worthwhile. The room could have 1 or 2 more decorations, maybe a statue or a special lighting fixture. Someone posted on FB that they had to use this room as secondary seating for the buffet......

They could use it for the buffet in morning it’s close by to the buffet. In the morning the buffet got very busy
Pretty sure the dining package only allows for one appetizer, not as many as you want

I’m a big fan of Octopus 🐙 or in Italian Polpo. I’ll be sure to check out this restaurant in February!
