今日茶席，第432席【鳶飛戾天】
鳶是鷹科的一種鳥，“鳶飛戾天，魚躍於淵”，鳶尾因其花瓣形如鳶鳥尾巴而得名。鳶尾在《本草》中本稱“烏園”，李時珍認為應是“烏鳶”。它的根稱“鳶頭”，花稱“鳶尾”，原生中國，唐代就記載它的花為“紫碧色”，李時珍也紀錄“其花自有數色”。可水生可旱生的鳶尾，臨水素淨，依丘雅緻，水多的京都，低窪處、溼草地，不經意就能邂逅一二。

🍵今日の茶席　第432回【鳶飛戾天】🍵
鳶は鷹科の鳥で、詩經には鳶飛戾天（鳶は空を舞う）と書かれています。そして鳶尾はその花びらが鳶の尾に似ていることからその名がつけられました。
鳶尾は『本草』では「烏園」と呼ばれていましたが、李時珍は本来は「烏鳶」であるべきだと考えていました。
鳶尾の根は「鳶頭」、花は「鳶尾」と呼ばれ、中国が原産地です。唐代にはその花の色は紫碧色であると記述があり、李時珍の記録では「其花自有數色」となっています。
鳶尾は水辺でも陸地でも育つので、水も山も綺麗で水の多い京都では、窪みや湿った草地で思いがけず1、2本の鳶尾を見かけることがあります。
🍵Today's Tea Party No. 432 [Kites Flying in the Sky]🍵
Kites are birds of the hawk family, and in the Book of Songs it is written “鳶飛戾天” (kite flies in the sky). And the name of 鳶尾(Japanese roof iris), which literally means “kite’s tail,” was given because its petals resemble a kite's tail.
The kite’s tail iris was called 烏園 in 本草, but Li Shizhen thought it should originally be 烏鳶.
The roots of kite's tail iris are called kite's head and the flowers are called kite's tail, and they are native to China. In the Tang Dynasty, it was written that the color of the flowers was purple-green, and in Li Shizhen's records it was written that "其花自有數色."
Kite's tail iris grows both in water and on land, so in Kyoto, where the water and mountains are clean and there is a lot of water, you can unexpectedly see one or two Kite's tails in hollows or damp grasslands.
