As a Pennsylvania climber that began his climbing career in 2010, this production is everything to me.
We DID guide our progress through DR routes. We DID revere DR as the greatest climber to adorn the walls of The New, based on the writings of Mikey William's first Guide Book.
We love this guy, and I am so happy to see that others do too, and they love him so much that they made a movie about him.
He is as cool as I thought him to be, and I am so grateful that he is contributing to the climbing community again.
    Matthew

Absolute legend. The amount of times I've tried an awesome route then gone back to look at the FA, and have seen Doug listed. It's like groundhog day after having done one of my favorites in the SE. Amazing interview, thanks for posting!

I definitely use Dougs routes as a benchmark. He has the best reputation in the east. I look up to Doug as a role model, and I have never met him.
