Leo doesn’t go 100% until he has his opponent figured out; He pokes and puts his opp in situations to see how they’ll react and how long it takes them to adjust, then when he has the formula he sends it without a sweat. Bc his opp. Already showed all their tricks and all they have is panic bc they become to comfortable. Truly impressive play from both ends. Great video (:

In terms of the top heavy players, prolly But the region as a whole goes to Japan, the top players are still very strong, but there’s less of a gap between Zackray, Tea, Proto etc and the rest of Japan

Like they've got a lot of fantastic top players including some you didn't even mention but I feel like they all really underperform at international tournaments. Zackray and Ken get hyped up a lot but Ken bustered out at Summit and Kongo Saga in my opinion and Zackray does great as usual but he got out performed by his competitors in America and Mexico at every international tournament he's attended in recent memory.

It really seems like Leo's strongest skill is adaptation, and he can download pretty much anyone in 2 games. If you don't manage to 3-0 him, he'll probably beat you with the information he got on the previous games.

practice and air dodging, he uses the movement of the air dodge to move quicker and on top of that i think his movement is just great practice he usually tries to stay on the ground for the momentum of byleth's movement

If Spargo's position of being top 3 in North America wasn't cemented already, it certainly is now. The consistency in his recent results put even Maister to shame.
Sparg0 getting good results doesn't detract from Maister. He is still one of the few players who always get into the Top 8, while not even players like Tweek and Marss can say the same.

Maybe he thought he could save cloud for the next set but I think it makes more sense if you try to close out the set with cloud and then switch back to pyra/mythra regardless of if you reset or not.
Spargo is good as always but he tends to lose to mkleo near the end a lot many times, cuz it looks like he gets to eager and try to hard to punish whiff and tries to convert everything he needs to slow down cuz he also starts to do unsafe attacks and gets punished, that's one of the reasons why mkleo is so good he is able to keep his composure and play with patience especially during tied up matches. Feel like happens a lot in these cases cuz of mkleo status they get nervous and start playing like crap cuz they want to win so badly lol
It’s a bit of that maybe but it’s also that Leo just plays different later. He starts figuring out both his and the opponents patterns and just adapts man. When someone does that so reliably it really does put a ton of pressure on the other person, I can’t imagine what it’s like to play against Leo in a grand final.
Byleth doesn't jump a tier if Leo plays him. He's just a better character than people give him credit for, and Leo is proving it. Good players bring out the true potential of a character. That's how well balanced this game is.
