Man the tournament grind is something a lot of us can relate too. So I love watching you play! Definitely a huge fan of the tournament vlogs, love the cash though still!!!
Loving the tournament videos man. You and Brad Owen have inspired me to pick up poker and I just got first place in a tournament at my local poker club. I doubt that you'll see this comment, but I appreciate you.
Thought you played well! And no matter the situation, losing a big pot with KK vs AA will always leave a person with a sick feeling. More tournaments please, you okay them well and seem to have a good chance of having deep runs, which pay out really well.
Emotional intelligence & control with poker & pool is so important. We all suck at these things sometimes...but when cognizant of it, practicing inner game helps us navigate the challenges of life in general.
This is outstanding work. It illustrates the cruelty of the game, especially when one is making reasonable decisions. Your candor and commentaries are valuable. Thank you.
Love ALL of your vlogs!!! Win, lose, cash or tournaments. We’re behind you all the way. I’m sure bowling helps during non poker sessions. Whatever it is, you’ve got over a 100k subscribers and on your way to 200k. So shake it off, go bowling, skydiving, get a tat and just relax. Keep the excellent content coming!!!
Ups and downs in Variance Town, Rampage. All you can do is say, I came, I saw, I did what I could. Sometimes that's all anyone can do. One Full Tilt commercial had Gus Hansen talk about playing your best and "sometimes even then that's still not enough." No shame man.
Cheer up bud. You binked a tourney, have a huge channel and are doing what you love for a living! If he's got Q's instead of aces you find a 4-5k pot, it happens. Keep up the grind brother
I enjoy your channel. The chase, hunt, and/or the adrenaline rush. "A rose by any other name is still a rose." In various degrees we all crave it. A big win provides a big rush. That is also known as excitement. When it comes a burden or hampers someone, it becomes a stress disorder. That is the biggest tell there is. You chased the tournaments, changed to cash game, and in most instances, you recognized the possible hands. No one bets because it is Wednesday. They think or pray they have the winner. Recognize the chase.in others and use it as a friend..
Both are very entertaining.PS: nobody is going to mention how he posts in 4K? Not many RUclipsrs make that effort to, it’s very nice watching it in crazy quality on my 4K tv well done Rampage
Always ups and downs, no matter the profession. Keep your head up and take the necessary time to train your mind and body! From the outside looking in, I understand you wanting to win every time. Passion is good, but don’t forget to be realistic. You know you won’t win every time and you know you won’t play your best every time. Live, learn and keep on trucking!
With AK facing a raise and a big re-raise before it gets to you is always a call or fold for me, essentially against someone that hasn’t previously been aggressive. Just see the flop for $190 and reevaluate from there. No ?
Price increases were widespread: Energy prices jumped 3.5% in November and are up 33.3% year over year. Gasoline is a stunning 58.1% higher than it was a year ago. Food prices have also climbed 6.1% higher over the year, while used car and truck prices - a major component of the inflation increase - are up 31%.
When did having a pair and a straight draw become a bluff 😂😂 Love the aggression Ethan, I bet you could talk yourself into fighting Mike Tyson! Keep it coming 👍👍👍
Because you have King high? It's called a semi bluff because you have outs but currently have very little or nothing. You don't want to be called because you will hit your outs a minority of the time.
I play both Cash & Tournament. Love them both. I’m good at Cash, not great but hold my own. I’m weak in my Tournament play. So really appreciate the Tournament videos. Thank you!
Be interested to know more about your Q5cc with showdown turned into a bluff. Sure in these spots more often than not villain holds a weaker Tx and pair of 5s are no good. But you rarely face a bluff that 5x can’t beat and the combos of hands you target folds from are less than the combos of 3 straights you unblock. Given you don’t hold a 3x 6x or 8x hand opponent can have A3, 68 and 63 for all the straights. Holding clubs makes it less likely opponent has missed flush draw and less combos of A5 suited bluffs you are targeting folds from. I think it’s great when the play comes off but is it a losing play in the long run?
Went to the Wynn for the first time yesterday to play 5/10 and it was awesome. If it wasn’t for your vlogs I would still be at Bellagio only every time. Good luck Ethan!
@@RampagePoker Yeah. You seem more confident. I'm not an expert, but I felt people could bluff you more before - but now you seem confident or much better!
Hey Rampage!!! You're not psychopath!!!! We all are!!! 😃 After a session like this, we all feel the same day in, day out. Don't worry about it, keep grinding man!! 👍🍀😉
Love the Vlogs Rampage, both cash and Mtts. I gotta say though, you run better than Usain Bolt himself. It's insane how hot you run. Keep it going Ethan!
As someone that plays part time I enjoy when your on the downside because in all reality that's apart of being a poker player full time and we all have them. Just remember sometimes it's good to take a small break to relax the mind. Great videos keep them up
I’ve been enjoying both! I’ve been enjoying your tourney videos and if you’re enjoy playing them that will show through your content. Play whatever makes you happy! Or dedicate one day every week or two to play cash to keep the skills sharp.
Great channel. One suggestion is to add your stack size and villains stack. Tough to do villains 100% of time when playing live, but would enhance the channel.
I can totally relate to your desire for more tournaments. I played primarily cash for the past few years and started playing tournaments again the past few months and have found good success. I used to dread the tournaments, but now I find myself enjoying them more than the cash games. I enjoy your content on both. Side note, I’m pretty sure we played together at Bellagio in a 10/20 cash game on November 17th. Was that you eating the steak dinner at the table? Lol I got coolered twice that night at that table with queens under kings and queens under aces.
Your outro shows u have a winning mindset kid. Love to see it, keep grinding! Make your way down to the Southpoint sometime for a session. Peace brother
I like the mix...keeps the game fresh.... Just want to remind you cash strategies and tournament strategies are different keep it straight.....good luck Rampage
Good video :) I would like the videos to have some more shots of the scenery around the casino and the spaces around, but thats just a tiny point on the wishlist. gl for the next games :) cheers from germany
Agreed. I'm not sure what betting 40% pot accomplishes there. AA, KK, QQ, and AJ pretty much have to call, and you block him from having AhKh and AhQh. So you're pretty much just hoping to fold out his random ace highs that barreled two streets with, which there aren't very many of.
@@brusso-kg1ir Ehhh, I mean sorta. If I have KK there and get C/R on flop I’m probably coming over the top wanting to get value from all his draws. If I just call and see the bottom card pair I’m never folding to a turn shove. Too many draws and counterfeited 2 pair hands. He played the hand well except a shove on the river makes the best sense.
I think the most likely hands that you opponent could have had on you AK nut hand were 99 88 77 66 44 33. 77 or smaller is more likely to bluff than call a bet. In case he has K9 89 suited hand, you could easily stack him by checking. Good check
I love how your thought process on the 4 bet with AK "This person hasn't played a hand all day, I have nothing invested in this pot and I'm likely up against AA or KK but I'm still going to give him 500 with AK just for fun."
Ethan.........it's going to happen. KK vs. AA is a tough situation. I would've done the same thing. Think about the times you were on the other end of it. Just keep moving forward. You did nothing wrong on that play, so don't beat yourself up. Just keep manifesting positivity and it will come to you.
uploads are consistent as fuck right now my guy! i dont think anyone will care if youre playing cash or tournament as long as you continue to crank out good stuff
What a lot of people don’t take into consideration is the fact that some of these poker bloggers have a secondary income that comes from these videos. It sure makes it a lot easier/more comfortable to play aggressive and take more chances in certain spots because it’s a win win for them. Don’t try this kind of stuff at home…
Hey bro don’t worry too much about catering for your fans, if you want to have fun doing RUclips you gotta do what you enjoy and people that like the content will watch. Great vlog!
