These videos with Dana have been a godsend to me understanding my own swing. I've been struggling with the idea of "depth" and "sitting" at the start of the downswing. His way of explaining it finally made sense to me (I have a very similar backswing and follow through problems). Great job by both teacher and student here!
Wow the tips provided in this video helped me with some of the problems I've been having with my swing. Thanks for sharing all your struggles. Good luck with the rest of the journey 🙏
Watching you makes me so excited for warm weather here in Illinois 😂 also I have learned so much from watching you! I got into golf last year, now ready for season two!
This info is amazing. Your progression is stunning. I wish you could have an aero view so we all can see where your ball is aligned to your feet because the practice divots is moving and are you moving/adjusting as the diviots move backward. I know its tough but it Seems the Trackman is pointing to the right and you're pointing straight. Can you put alignment sticks near the Trackman to match your swing stick? Not sure if that makes the launch weird on our screens and if its the proper trajectory. I noticed on the ball you missed with the driver, you added 3x more speed and whipped and lifted your head but corrected it later. Ask your coach if you have to physically close the face to avoid hitting to the right? Seems that's the only thing missing, if not, the club will always be opened. Supination seems to work to square the face.
True spec at grand del Mar in San Diego would be a great fitting experience for you now that you're ready to move on from your first set of clubs. Would recommend over club champion.
What driver shaft did you get fitted for after this? Still using the 10.5 head? Similar club head speed so I’m curious. Using TM Sim2 with the regular flex shaft and think it’s holding me back hitting moon balls with no control. Borrowed my buddies stealth w/ x-stiff Ventus and it seemed better. Gonna get fitted, but just wanted to see what happened with you! Great videos bro. Keep grinding!
I’m sure Dana has some recommendations on fitters in the area but a full bag fitting video would be cool to see. Time to get some equipment tailored to your specs!
I loved how he shut down the start of ur million questions from the start. The other coaches let u ramble on with questions which gave u too many swing thoughts. Best thing he could have done with u
@JeromeRufin he's a great coach. Bro ur swing looks amazing, everyone says grant has the best looking swing on youtube (which he does lol) but ur coming after him on that quick lol
@@JeromeRufinlool i would be too playing golf the way u are. Ur prob sick of randoms giving u advice but a fitting actually might just be beneficial to lower your handicap. With the right club in your game will improve. Might help fix some of your misses and help your consistency to lower a handicap. Better to do it sooner than later so u can get used to ur new clubs as you keep learning. Also no pressure to buy the clubs since its a big purchase but a good chance to see what difference it can make.
I disagree if your still working on your swing and it’s still changing if you get fit today they will fit you with that swing but if ur still working on all these things from the video your swing is going to change again and the clubs u got fit for will be for that “old” swing hopefully that makes sense lol once your swing is polished and your happy with where it’s at and your making minuscule changes than a fitting would be warranted otherwise your just going to be wasting a bunch of money
@@davidp31289 in the video he said hes swinging 105mph on a regular non velocore ventus. He needs a new club. The shaft is too soft for him and hurting his game
I think it's time for a real club fitting video. Swing is looking great and the effort and commitment is awesome. Now you gotta get the right sticks in the bag and get out of the beginner clubs... Time to level up!
In the Ventus line, red has the highest kick point (more loft) while ventus black is lowest launch and lowest spin. Blue is in between. For Ventus, the colors is where the stiff point in the shaft. Most likely you will want to be in a Ventus black in X-stiff. Best bet is to get fitted though as there are hundreds of different shafts but as long as the weight (eg 70g) and stiffness (X-stiff for you) are correct, they are all pretty close.
I reckon he fits better into the blue 6x in a 9 degree. Maybe a tr blue at most. The swing doesnt look like it can load or launch a black shaft properly.
Dana just told you get new equipment so.. go see Mike Schy who was Bryson Dechambeaus coach and they invented single length clubs and are experts of single plane it would be a cool experiment
That software is pretty cool. I wonder if Dana also knows mike adams. And whether includes biometrics into the swing. Basically what you are capable of. You are capable of mostly anything. Great flexibility
The problem is you also need a coach who understands the relationship of all the numbers. Many golfers wreck their swing trying to change one number (usually path) without understanding the effect it has on other numbers (aka swing dynamics).
The camera man getshas terrible angles when the dana is showing sime pretty important stuff. Like its worse than a bad angle, what hes demonstrating is not even jn frame
Analysis Paralysis .. Jerome is playing around 95+ for past 2 games at least, the shots are going all over the place .. but the coach is stroking his ego .. and he has been with Dana for past 2-3 mths now? Call a spade a spade .. how is that improving? Now he can’t even hit driver straight and the coach is recommending he change his driver because he can swing 115MPH? Again this is merely an ego play .. just stroking the ego .. can’t you tell? If you can’t hit the driver consistently, hot are you even going to be able to get fitted with the huge dispersion of shots? And what is the world becoming listening to swing tips from a golfer who can even break 95 .. how is this even a swing upgrade when the coaching instruction is all over the place .. a bit here a bit there .. 😅
Check Jerome's video on April 23. He shot 85. Scoring in golf is many factors. Short game is critical. He's been working with James Sieckman a short game coach. Chipping, pitching and putting are vital. Also, what tees is he playing? Length of course also is a factor. He hits it farther than I do but I score mid 80s most times. I'm 74 years old. I've broken 80 a few times as well. Dana knows his stuff.
These lessons with Dana are the best content you’ve made
I wait for these videos weekly, they’re my favourite series on RUclips at the moment! Keep it up!!!
That’s awesome to hear!
Dana is genius! Such a kind and patient teacher. Thank you Jeremy. You are getting better dude!

What is this new grip you are using? I also am learning how to hold it correctly 😂
Would you let me borrow that track man and your coach for like a few years. 😂. You are doing great man, keep it up.
Great swing Jerome, great job!
Thanks!
“ What’s the difference between extending and coming out of it “ in regards to spine.. IS WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR 🔥🔥 Keep it up!
& careful with all this. Remember to have fun Golfing and in the process, it’s a game after all but you’re doing awesome!
That "dont open and stay closed" then path went right... i need that rn 😂🔥

Have you ever consider record this or other audio lesson to play it when you play practice round?
I haven’t but could be a good idea!

I thought you were dead when you stopped uploading. Also yeah I would get a fitting. Nows the time to do it and it can provide good content.
Just a little dead lol

Hey Jerome! This is amazing! After you land close, what are you doing to push?
Will actually have a video going live soon around this. Stay tuned!
@@JeromeRufin thanks brother
Please keep this swing coach
Yeah it took a bit to find the perfect swing coach for my personality, but we are locked together on that front
Lucky mate ! I have got Dana as online coach only 😊
I went to overnight golf camp in the mid 70's, and was in the Johnny Miller room!
Jake Knapp's coach...❤❤❤❤❤

Been saying this for ages, we need Jerome to go to TXG and get fit by Ian.
Who is this coach? I really like his style and he is very well versed in the biomechanics of the swing
Dana Dahlquist
Then take it out to the course and...what was that again😂
41:02 omg he almost asked the question

Your swing has improved a lot from your lessons with Dana
Get a ventus black 6x shaft and call it a day.
The joker! The guy at the staples center :)
Can we see the grip instruction?
Check out the grip video it’s a few episodes back!
Time stamp your sections 👍
How does he have the money to persue this full-time?
Great question
For the algo!

If we all had access to tech like this 20% of us would turn pro or at least to plus far easier

This is confusing as hell
It's not that it's confusing it's just that it requires a lot on investment to understand
There are 3 videos with Dana before this that they have been building on, makes more sense when you watch them in sequence
Do less 😂 if only it was that easy to shut off the overthinking brain. Aummmmmmmmmm
