I gave up on Anita years ago. She didn't come out on stage for almost 2 hours. We got up and went to the ticket booth and complained...wanted our money back. And I had to work the next day. She finally came out but I was in a bad mood. No more Anita for me.

New Year's Eve, Luther and Anita at Rosemont Horizon, 1988, midnight show. She did one of Luther's song in her opening set. We were all expecting, hoping and praying for a duet at midnight. But, Luther took a long time to stage after she finished. Something smelled off. Luther, the preeminent showman, came on did the damn thing and then the balloons dropped. No more Anita. A few weeks later, Oprah had Luther on and asked, what happened. He simply said, " you do whatsoever you think you're big and bad enough to do. Anita's career was effectively over after that and she still hasn't learned her lesson. RIP Luther

That's true wasn't born till after year 2000 hell they no about chapter 8 her group before going solo but sense the 8os Anita had gotten a bad wrap behind the scenes from other singers employees sound enginers .. she is a mean professional a monster to work with
