Bob Reno I know at this point I feel like it's a miracle of we get anything 😭
Glad you mentioned the whole "some shippers like conflict-filled ships" thing! Most of the pairings I like have the whole love/hate dynamic, and a lot of fans are drawn to that dynamic as well. Shipping those kind of pairings can be more....difficult, especially on certain sites, since some people will say stuff like "their relationship isn't very healthy!" "it's such a dark ship!" "the characters have messed up backgrounds!" when in reality, that's half the reason I ship them XD Then again, that's also super interesting, since it shows how different people have very different ways of determining which ships are "good" and what they're interested in.
Yes I'm not alone! All my ships tend to be conflict based too. Not sure what that says about me as a person, but I find that troublesome pairs are more dynamic and interesting. My opinion of course.
Makes sense. Their actors have great villain chemistry, while their canon dynamic is based on seething hatred, a history of deadly rivalry and mutual sniping, and vast insecurity. If you like angst and drama, as many definitely do, then Kylux is like a night at the opera.
I like it when ships will never come true, never become canon. It's usually because they're too dark or un-healthy. It's just more fun and challenging to find little snippets of possibilities! And this mystery feeling that surrounds it!
KYLUX!!!!!!! God I love KYLUX!! Tbh I didn’t even notice all the drama that is associated with this ship lol I’m pretty much in my own little kylux bubble safe and happy 😊 !! Ty soooooo much for doing this video ❤️❤️!! And to answer your question shipping aside I thought the Last Jedi was just kinda boring lol Not enough cool action......idk that’s just me 👽👽👽
I walked out of the theater entertained but I knew TLJ wouldn't be near the top of my favorites list. I was also so relieved Hux was still alive, I did not expect that gift. I was shipping this a few days after seeing TFA. Stormpilot gives me all kinds of soft and warm feels but I love me some angsty goodness or badness in this case. I shipped Kylux off and on but became obsessed when I discovered Hollycomb's work.
The thing I find amusing about people who complain the new Star Wars trilogy is "too political" are basically trying to apply headcanon to real life and ignore that Lucas was never subtle in his allegories; in the Original Trilogy, Palpatine was always meant to represent Nixon, and the Battle of Endor = Vietnam (forest dwellers overthrowing imperialist invaders from a technologically superior nation). And the Anakin/Obi-Wan exchange in Revenge of the Sith, the whole "If you aren't with me, then you're my enemy" thing, was such a direct jab at the Bush Administration and its rhetoric regarding the War on Terror that even bow-tie homunculous Tucker Carlson picked up on it. The only proper response to someone who complain that "Star Wars shouldn't be political" is "Hi. You must be new here."
Kylux is just my kind of taste. I dig the relationships that are hard. BDSM or not I enjoy the ship. Which reminds me I need to work on the comic I'm doing for it
I’ve been waiting for this! Honestly Kylux is my OTP/go down with this ship kinda thing, so seeing all the replies here saying “I don’t ship it but I guess it’s okay” is kinda disappointing. But you do you, ppl! I’m just grateful you picked this one up again.
I, like you, was waiting for Shippers' Guide to discuss my OTP. Reylo, which I only had a passing interest in because of the interrogation scene in TFA, was my entry point. Kylux is the ship that has the most possibilities I feel which ultimately makes it so much more interesting. It is nice to know that the ship is low key really popular. As far as TLJ, I hated it mostly because it had absolutely nothing to do with TFA. I thought that was the point of a trilogy-- that the films actually are related?? Also, Luke was decimated as a character!! There are other flaws, but I won't discuss them here. I was pleasantly surprised that Hux survived TLJ even though they made him look like a buffoon.
In my opinion, Kylux isn't racist. I shipped stormpilot at first, and I still do. But I shipped Kylux more because of the angst, and..the -smut- That and, Kylux is a homosexual pairing. So, lots of gay people are shipping it. And the gay people fighting for their rights aren't likely to be racist.
Eriotl Ampora unfortunately, there is actually a lot of racism within the lgbt+ community. we've got everything, racism, sexism, TERFs, transphobics, lesbophobics, biphobics, acephobics, ableists... it's down right disgusting. For a oppressed people, there are a lot of us who, in stead of being empathic, become angry and try to repress others. Also, most m/m ships are primarily driven by straight women. so one must be more cognisant of what the actual community's opinions of these ships are. tbh I'm not sure what the mlm community thinks of Kylux, but what I've seen from my corner of the wlw community, it's not well received. However, the wlw (what I've experienced) is always more critical of ships with one or more men in them. Healthy masculinity and not-being-sexist is a top priority to queer women as a group. The lgbt+ community, above all else, wants to be represented in a positive light in media. Negative canon representation makes it harder for queer people irl because of the message it sends to the already ignorant society we live in (same holds true for poc representation). Now having fun with some Kylux fanfic in a small corner of the internet is not the end of the world, as long as we keep it in check and don't promote it to become real representation in the media.
wow, I didn't know that there was so much backlash regarding Kylux. I've mainly seen critique towards Reylo (I personally don't mind these two ships) but I guess it really depends on who you're following and which sites you're mainly using. interesting video!
Hard!Kylux was popular in the beginning of 2016, but now it's mostly hurt/comforts, fix-its, accidentally catching feelings and AUs where the smut is kinky, but the tone is light. Benarmie and other Kylux-adjacent ships are downright fluffy. Also, there's Huxlo who see Hux as dominant and level-headed; in recent Kylux fics, he's portrayed as a hot mess who needs Kylo just as much as Kylo needs him. It's a very complex fandom :D
Tbh after TFA I was shipping Stormpilot, I didn't understand why people were shipping by Kylux and right before watching TLJ I became intrigued by this ship I watched your first video about it, read fanfics and when I watched TLJ I don't know what happened but I fell deep into Kylux, their relationship is more challenging at first has they hate each other and it's interesting to see how the writers make them fall in love
I ship Kylux because I read either their character biographies or one of the actors say that they have like an intense rivalry, even way before TFA even premiered. From then on, I knew I'd be shipping Kylux, regardless of the things you mentioned on the video. As for your question regarding TLJ, I'm on the side of both like and not like it so much (although I regret not having watched it the 2nd time-- as many fans have done, since some say a 2nd viewing makes you appreciate the movie even more), still, I enjoyed watching the movie, and I can't wait for IX. Thanks for the vid, I've been waiting for this.
Daiyu Amaya Trust me, u feel much more satisfied when u come across a great fanfic yourself. Buuuut i’ll give u a hint!! I read it on archive of our own/ao3. Shouldn’t be too hard to find the fic. Good luck😉❤️
The kylux fandom is the most brilliant, prolific, and relatively peaceful fandom I've ever seen and I'm happy to be part of it! Thanks for making this video ❤
I absolutely love your vids. I'm a multishipper, myself. I love both stormpilot and kylux both for different reasons. The racist argument surprised me. I'm half white and half black, and I had never thought of it that way.
I really enjoy this ship - there's a huge amount of really high quality fic and art. I also think it's important to note that Hux is fleshed out in the Aftermath trilogy, as well as the Phasma book. And it confirmed a lot of fanon characterisation, that is, Hux's abusive Father and awful childhood. I don't think that makes his actions at all excusable, but to some fans, I saw that it did invigorate them to see some canon sympathy (?) for Hux - or at least a canon exploration of his character that was less one note than the films. Also, the inclusion of his WOC mentor, Rae Sloane, added another dimension to him, for some. As far as Episode VIII goes - I was just pleasantly shocked that Hux didn't die. There were more than a few moments where I was sure he would. I think little interactions, like "that's enough" will be enough for shippers to work with. And, the images of Hux on his knees with a split lip, as well as Kylo choking him, has, and will continue to inspire BDSM focused works. On that note, I don't feel like an 'unhealthy' D/s relationship within fic is necessarily reflected in real life. As part of the fetish scene, a lot of what I do with a partner, is a fantasy. I'm reminded of novels like The Story of O - the central relationship in that is undoubtedly 'unhealthy' - if you were in a real relationship like that, you should run very far and very fast. But that doesn't stop it from being an immensely popular book; which, was originally written by the author as presents for her lover. If you take the Kylux BDSM stories as dark fantasies, that may excite you, and you may want to act out (but not actually live out!) then I think it's slightly less problematic. Though, I understand why it may make some people uncomfortable. I always tag my Kylux on Tumblr, and absolutely don't think it will happen of course, but I'm trying to enjoy it in my toxicity-free bubble.
TBH, I still don’t get why people care who people ship together. I love all ships! Kylux, Reylo, StormPilot, Reyux, and any variation of these OTPs or even OT3. Let everyone love their own ship. I completely agree, ship and let ship. :)
Yaaasss multishipping for the win. I've always been a multishipper in most fandoms because I love different pairings (and ot3s) for different reasons. Like with SW, sometimes I want a dark, angsty character study fic about Hux and Ren, and other times I just want super fluffy Stormpilot.
I'm not a shipper of Kylux, just because the shipp doesn't appeal to me. But I do think the ideia and the fan arts are amazing. As for The Last Jedi as a movie, I loved it!! So far my favorite movie of the hole saga, I just loved how it's different from the other movies and how some of my favorite fan theories came true. The only thing that makes me sad is that I have to wait 2 years for the next one. 😭
You have to admit that people did give Hux most of his personality. The truth is most characters change when translated into fan works or even having completely noncannon, but still consistent among many fan works, that are sustained in the collective consciousness of the fandom.
Also, when it comes to love/hate or complex ships, I'm always surprised that KyFinn (or Finnlo) isn't a thing. Kylo goes out of his way to call Finn a traitor. That's a relationship that could get complex, dark, interesting, or even have a redemption thing going on. Just as much as Kylux and Reylo. Especially because Finn was raised in the First Order, and from the light novels seemed to be on his way to be a really great Stormtrooper. However, I kind of do feel like that trope might be in play because despite them having just as much, if not more, love/hate and complexity as Reylo and Kylux, it doesn't exist.
Fantastic video! I loved when you went over the cons of this ship, cause you legit addressed lots of "shipping topics" that I wish people thought and talked about! I'm not into Star Wars but I watched the video cause I was curious and I'm glad I did. 👍
YES! YES! I particularly love FinnRose's story arc---how Finn finds courage in Rose and vice versa. She's a new character, but she doesn't get enough love. And FinnRey still warms my heart.
pippinhart FinnRey does warm my heart. The way they embraced eachother at the end of the tlj was beautiful and FinnRose was great too. The way she saved Finn from making the ultimate sacrifice amd pekked him on the lips was sad.
Ah, Klyux. One of my favorite ships :) However I just would like to say, that I came to the fandom for Stormpilot, but stayed because of Kylux. And it really has nothing to do with race, but just as you said, sometimes Stormpilot is just to cutesy and easy. And that is really great if you need something in a dark bad day when you just want something to warm you. But other times Evil Space Boyfriends is the way to go. Not to mention the daddy issues both of them have, and their pain and rage and in how Snoke treats them and the way they could stand up against him and so and so. While Millicent the cat look at them with contempt. Also For me nothing could make canto bight compelling. And Poe at least would have been fun to be around. Even if I like Rose. But in general I really liked TLJ. It was fun. PS. One of my favorite ships where they didn't actually meet during the movie is Blake/Bane in the Dark Knight Rises and I am still rather enamored with them too.
OMGOMGOMG! You do not know how much I have been checking **stalking** this channel waiting for this vid to drop. I got into Kylux almost accidentally - Kylo was easily my fav character in TFA and when I decided what ships were floating around I became instantly hooked. Totally feeding into my love of the darker pairings like Hannigram and Batjokes. Still shipping these guys strong 2 years on ^_^
There is an interview that Domnhall did that states that they will be married in IX-hux and kylo It was on the Horwitz podcast. You need to check it out!
it would be great if you could do brienne/Jaime from Game of Thrones! I love this ship and it's in dire need of a video from you! Love your videos and keep up the great work!
I fucking loved it !! , And honestly I just want to be happy and ship my stuff and I think everybody should respect each other's ships you know .You're in a fandom to share things not to hate on people . That makes me sad when some start insulting a person's preferences.
This was brilliant! I was so different watching TLJ, shipping-wise. A lot of people were like 'omg Reylo could be a thing' and I was like "OMG I can't believe Kylux is canon!" And canon in the way I've seen it shipped. I don't even have a major opinion about Kylux, I'll reblog if I see art and fics I like with them. I definitely understand and like it more than others, but I wouldn't say I'm fully invested in the ship. I was surprised there were more fics for it that Stormpilot. But yeah I definitely lean more towards shipping it, then not liking it as much, even more after TLJ.
I have to say I'm glad you make video's because I've been able to learn about new ships that I wouldn't have thought of so thanks and please keep it up! as for the last Jedi movie I enjoyed it but its been a long time since I've seen the older movies and I've not read a great deal of the books either so I'm not sure how in line with everything else it was. I now currently ship Kylux and stormpilot because of your videos on star wars XD
I don't know how or why it happened, but I fell head first into Kylux after The Force Awakens, after having gone in expecting to come out shipping Stormpilot (which I still do). I think it was a combination of many things, though I haven't really dissected it. BUT me and a friend ended up both shipping it, and because I physically resemble Hux (well, I'm ginger, tall and skinny) and my friend wanted to cosplay Kylo, it became a "thing" for us, and so we kind of added onto our own shipping through that, since we got invested in the characters through cosplay plans. So this video was a lot of fun, thank you! :D And I kept going "I know that fanart".... I quite liked The Last Jedi. It definitely had flaws, but overall I enjoyed it a lot, though it's not my favorite Star Wars film. I really appreciate some of the choices they made, even if I wasn't a fan of them in a story perspective (meaning, I wanted the story to go elsewhere, but I was impressed with some of the choices they made).
I am super super into this ship, it's consumed the last two years of my life. I'm not gonna lie, I'm really really irrationally happy that the kink dynamic you mentioned was Dom Hux/sub Kylo because you nailed exactly why I ship it that way. Incidentally, there is enough of a divergence within the fandom between characterizations that Dom Hux/sub Kylo is practically a different ship than Dom Kylo/sub Hux and the war there is rather extensive.
I feel the wish to express what I view as an evenhanded outlining of the issues that surround a pairing that suffers numerous disputes - numerous enough that I have heard of them.
Luckily my kylux fandom experience has been relatively drama-free, and while I *have* noticed some hate for the ship floating around... I'll do what I want, thank you very much 😂 Very interesting video, and long live kylux ❤
Listen, I don’t care if you don’t ship Kylux I will ship it when I want, if I want, whenever I want *and you can’t stop me* (And yes, I do ship Stormpilot, but I leave Kylux and Stormpilot on the same level, which means I ship them but I don’t ship one more then the other, I like all my ships equally. You can’t stop me)
I begin to ship Stormpilot, that's an amazing pairing, but i also discover Kylux in the process and i lost myself in very good fic. Some writers give them a healthy relationship or realistic and safe BDSM dynamic and i'm kinda love it ? I'm a multishipper and i accept all the ships. Thanks for speak of Kylux, love your work
Next to Kylux all ships may exist in my opinion. I ship Reylo too, mostly because of the films. I like to have some ships that can come true next to the ones that are just never able to make it (also because I just don't want them to)...
In regards to The Last Jedi as a film overall, I really kind of adore it. It acknowledges and respects the victories and mistakes of the past but refuses to cling to it, accepts itself in the present, and looks ahead to the future, and this is reflected within the story and characters themselves. Interestingly, it has very similar themes to the Doctor Who Christmas special 'Twice Upon A Time' that just aired around the same time. It progressed the characters in interesting and natural directions, dealt with some complex issues and evolved the lore. I have some issues with it, for example, I do think the pacing could be tightened up a little, and the Canto Bight segment is admittedly the weakest aspect of the film, but these are minor things I can live with. I'm incredibly excited to see where Episode IX goes, and for Rian Johnson's new trilogy.
I knew about Kylux but hadnt really looked into it until watching the last jedi (we discussed the ships in the car on the way home XD) but when exploring my star wars ship stormpilot I came across some really great AU fanvideos for kylux and I'm intrigued!
Pretty much every relationship in star wars ends up woh in every or both parties dead. I don’t feel like shipping in this series because I don’t want to get my hopes up and then immediately crushed.
I ship both kylux and stormpilot but I tend to focus more on kylux because I find it more interesting. Poe and finn obviously like eachother a lot whether it be as friends or more however kylo and hux is different and darker and isn't as clear in terms of the emotions on either side which makes it more fun to explore.
I love kylux and stormpilot but you summed up my feelings about why I ship kylux a bit more. I do think more people dislike reylo than they dislike kylux (mostly because reylo is more mainstream). Anyway it'll always be so weird to me that people need characters to interact in order to ship them. I feel like crack ships are such a wonderful part of fandom and really show that there's a ship for everyone out there
I multiship Kylux and Reylo XD I originally liked Kylux more, but, Last Jedi man. I like the whole Romeo and Juliet aspect of Reylo (even if it's a more complex, light side vs dark side, Force balance issue in the movies), but also the cute love-hate rivalry from Kylux.
You need to talk Phasma/Hux soon. I ship Kylux, but I ship Phasma/Hux more. As for TLJ, I wish that.... SPOILERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! ... Luke hadn't died. I wanted to see him train Rey and to at least try to turn Ben back to the light. And why kill off Holdo? She was a great new character, and could have taken up Leia's mantle! And I'd like to see Poe and her learn to work together.... I liked it, but I might need some fix it fics to read!
Yooo I agree with you on the spoilers bit (that's all stuff I would like to see addressed in fix-it fic) and with regards to Phasma/Hux...! I honestly didn't even care much for any First Order pairings before TLJ, and then randomly I got hooked on Kylo/Hux/Phasma and all the two-person permutations of that ship haha
I heard they finished the film before carrie fisher died, so they expected her to still be alive in the next film. That is an excellent idea though. I got a very mothma vibe from holdo(the leader of the rebels in the OG trilogy)
I think a lot of people especially those who know about the Hux book think that he has never had a chance to be redeemed (as in no interaction with the light). If Kylo is eventually pulled to the light a relationship between them - romantic or not - may mean he will have a chance.
God kylux was one of my first ships I’m so bummed there’s not as much as there used to be. You should do a video on some South Park ships like Craig and Tweek now that they’re canon. It was basically a satire on shipping in general but I thought it was done well lol
I personally love these kind of ships where not many may like it because the characters "hate" each other. I get bashed for my ships sometimes, but I never care Like I have 2 other ships like a lot that are love/hate. Tomtord from eddsworld and dramione from harry potter. And just like kylux, both these ships are love/hate, and I love these kinds of relationships because they are WAY more interesting than your cookie cutter "oh person a hangs around person b a lot and they're best friends and get along really well and they'd make a good relationship so I'm gonna ship it." Oh, and like you said, yes, I did ship reylo at first. Very very hard. But I did get intrigued by kylux. I started watching fan videos. I looked at fanart. I read the fanfics. I love it so much now.
Your Star Wars ship update videos are the only spoilers I'm exposing myself to since I haven't seen TLJ yet but ohmygosh I need to know about the ships!! As for my ships, at least right now? I ship JediStormPilot. They're so precious, and I can't decide who I prefer Finn with, and I think Rey and Poe could get along pretty well too (though to me, Rey and Poe is more of a brOTP). I also ship Kylux. For me, what I find appealing about is is the crack/comedic angle. I love content that mocks Kylo Ren for being a whiny emo boy (have you seen the posts that spoof the opening of My Immortal but it's with Kylo Ren instead of Ebony?). I like the idea of his history with Hux involving being wannabe-edgy teenagers together. It's kind of a way of diminishing something serious (dangerous villains coded with Nazi imagery) by making it ridiculous (aforementioned angsty boy history).
Sorry forgot to answer the question. I actually like the new trilogy and find myself getting connected to it in a way i never had with the original or prequel trilogies.
I hate how recently when you talk about problematic ships like Kylux or Reylo in a sliiiightly positive light, you immediately get accused to be an abuser or whatever. I don't even like Star Wars, I dont even follow star wars, they say that fiction affects real life, well if they kept saying that and insisting on that...
It was the first movie of this trilogy I saw and it was pretty good. Though I'm strongly against how they handled StormPilot and how they kinda pushed rose and Finn to happen. It was hella weird
YES!!! GRUMPY GINGER GENERAL AND SPICY EDGE BOI
Lol all their alternate fan names are so great!
General Shreaks and Crylo Ren
Kylux is my Otp, now and forever
Depeche Mode lover me too
agreed
But what if I ship Stormpilot and Kylux.
both. both. both is good.
Team Negan I know I do!!!!
pippinhart both is good.
Team Negan bro TRY trying to ship reylo as cannon kylux as head cannon and stormpilot as should be cannon but Disney won't without getting ripped to pieces from all corners of the fandom. Same, most of my ships are either love/hate or rivals to friends to lovers dynamic.
There's definitely an appeal to them but it's so hard to find the good fics.

more drama with reylo tbh theres an entire anti community on instagram lel
I walked out of the theater entertained but I knew TLJ wouldn't be near the top of my favorites list. I was also so relieved Hux was still alive, I did not expect that gift.

thanks! Hollycomb is awesome!
Oh my god. Children, wake up. OH THE FLASHBACKS
I don't really ship them but i get why peoples do so i'm not hating on it :)
I fully support it. Hux does too.
Love this ship.
I don't particularly ship it but, my favorite way for this to go is when it involves Matt
(Matt makes everything better)
Matt was one of the best things to come out of The Force Awakens.
108_garys Matt cures my depression
I’ve been waiting for this! Honestly Kylux is my OTP/go down with this ship kinda thing, so seeing all the replies here saying “I don’t ship it but I guess it’s okay” is kinda disappointing. But you do you, ppl! I’m just grateful you picked this one up again.
v1olet v1olet I GOT YOU it’s my OTP 😩
GM Mmm

a skysolo video would be amaazing
Hehehe, while Kylo was unconscious, Hux was going for his blaster. No love loss there.
Lol I love that scene.
I love that scene, honestly, it's so funny. They both just don't care. Kylo was faking, and Hux was ready, lol!
That's what makes it exciting! They constantly battle between hate and love...
In my opinion, Kylux isn't racist. I shipped stormpilot at first, and I still do. But I shipped Kylux more because of the angst, and..the -smut-

wow, I didn't know that there was so much backlash regarding Kylux. I've mainly seen critique towards Reylo (I personally don't mind these two ships) but I guess it really depends on who you're following and which sites you're mainly using. interesting video!

Also, there's Huxlo who see Hux as dominant and level-headed; in recent Kylux fics, he's portrayed as a hot mess who needs Kylo just as much as Kylo needs him. It's a very complex fandom :D
Ships aside and everything, I enjoyed The Last Jedi. I would’ve preferred some scenes to have been different, but overall it was good.
After watching TLJ, my dad was like 'so, are Kylo and Hux going to..." Me: "get married and have babies?" Dad: "yes"
Kylux, Reylux, the three of them together, or my current favourite Gingerpilot are all great. I am starting to suspect I just really like Hux 😏
:0!!!! This is my second favorite StarWars ship (after Stormpilot of course)!! Today has already started out awesomely 🙏🙏
YES!!! I’ve only relatively recently found out about Kylux and i’ve been reading fanfic. Currently w8ing for one i really love to update!!!😍❤️💯🔥
what fanfic?! I'm just gotten into this ship as well and am reading as much as I can get my hands on lol
Daiyu Amaya Trust me, u feel much more satisfied when u come across a great fanfic yourself. Buuuut i’ll give u a hint!! I read it on archive of our own/ao3. Shouldn’t be too hard to find the fic. Good luck😉❤️
I will read kylux fan fics all day, but that may be my Dohmnal Glee son obsession
I love them so much, one of my favorite ships.
I ship StormPilot AND Kylux
Same. :)
And also Finnrey, which doesn't get near enough love/attention.
+TimeandMonotony We're going to be doing FinnRey!
Well I ship Damerey
5:24 voordeel vid woot! She's one of my favorite vidders!
And of course, obligatory thank you for doing an update on one of my fave SW ships! :D
What about Reylux?
brotherlode yes! Exactly. Different fics for different days. Haha.
Maya Connor of course! All the ships. :D
Star Wars Ot3 is Rey Finn and Poe 😤
I'm not a shipper of Kylux, just because the shipp doesn't appeal to me. But I do think the ideia and the fan arts are amazing.
As for The Last Jedi as a movie, I loved it!! So far my favorite movie of the hole saga, I just loved how it's different from the other movies and how some of my favorite fan theories came true. The only thing that makes me sad is that I have to wait 2 years for the next one. 😭
You have to admit that people did give Hux most of his personality. The truth is most characters change when translated into fan works or even having completely noncannon, but still consistent among many fan works, that are sustained in the collective consciousness of the fandom.
i really like kylux and spend most of my time in the kylux amino where theres absolutely no negativity or hate and its nice
Thank you for pointing out that what people ship doesn't necessarily reflect their moral or social views, it's entertainment and art and an escape
However, I kind of do feel like that trope might be in play because despite them having just as much, if not more, love/hate and complexity as Reylo and Kylux, it doesn't exist.
i love how much effort you put into this videos, makes me feel like shipping is a true pastime not just a lil thing online
One of my favorite things about your videos is you "Ship and let ship" point of view. Can't wait for more!
Fantastic video! I loved when you went over the cons of this ship, cause you legit addressed lots of "shipping topics" that I wish people thought and talked about!
I'm not into Star Wars but I watched the video cause I was curious and I'm glad I did. 👍
Also I love your videos, who is your OTP @shippersguidetothegalaxy ?
It's ever changing tbh lol
Kylux is the greatest Star Wars ship there is, I love it. They are evil space boyfriends hehehe
I would love to talk about FinnRey or FinnRose.
YES!
I like kylux more than raylo because we haven’t figured out who rays parents are so they could BE RELATED in some way and the whole ship will fall
9:57 is the most amazing fucking thing I have ever seen. Pleeeease tell me where you got it!
seducedbykyloren.tumblr.com/post/136673691668/bensolotrashh-ginger-space-nazi
Ah, Klyux. One of my favorite ships :)
However I just would like to say, that I came to the fandom for Stormpilot, but stayed because of Kylux.
Still shipping these guys strong 2 years on ^_^
Jeez I love Hannigram and Batjokes with a passion, my gallery is filled with Will and Hannibal memes or just images of them in general. 😌
I really like The Last Jedi, despite its numerous problems. It's just a fun film.
I am a Kylux and Stormpilot shipper and I love them both for way different reasons.
Thank you so much for posting this!
Ok I did not know about this, but looks interesting so... I’M INTO IT.
I never viewed Kylux as a romantic relationship. I see them as fighting brothers tbh 😂
I LOVE EVERY SINGLE VIDEO YOU MAKE.
NEVER CLICKED FASTER
Who is here after that one seen in the lego Christmas special
I feel the wish to express what I view as an evenhanded outlining of the issues that surround a pairing that suffers numerous disputes - numerous enough that I have heard of them.
Luckily my kylux fandom experience has been relatively drama-free, and while I *have* noticed some hate for the ship floating around... I'll do what I want, thank you very much 😂 Very interesting video, and long live kylux ❤
Pinterest is a Kylux Goldmine
Listen,
I don’t care if you don’t ship Kylux
I will ship it when I want, if I want, whenever I want
*and you can’t stop me*
(And yes, I do ship Stormpilot, but I leave Kylux and Stormpilot on the same level, which means I ship them but I don’t ship one more then the other, I like all my ships equally. You can’t stop me)
I saw that Arrow GIF. I'm still waiting.
Thanks for speak of Kylux, love your work
Been waiting for this one!
Waiting so long for this!!!! Tanks!!
I feel like crack ships are such a wonderful part of fandom and really show that there's a ship for everyone out there
ShippersGuideToTheGalaxy,
Love all your vids!
SPOILERS!
YOU
HAVE
BEEN
WARNED!
I'm one of the four people who write fan fiction for this ship :D
I'm loving the puns of the names of the movies.
IV BEEN WAITING SO LONG YESSSSS
I think a lot of people especially those who know about the Hux book think that he has never had a chance to be redeemed (as in no interaction with the light). If Kylo is eventually pulled to the light a relationship between them - romantic or not - may mean he will have a chance.
Seeing Shassie (Shawn x Lassiter) on my screen for like 2 seconds was my favorite part of the video. Please do a video on them!
God kylux was one of my first ships I’m so bummed there’s not as much as there used to be. You should do a video on some South Park ships like Craig and Tweek now that they’re canon. It was basically a satire on shipping in general but I thought it was done well lol
Love the way you say uncomfortable
I didn't ship it before this video but now I think I get it lmao, I'm on board
Alannah ahhhhhh there’s so many good fics for it and art out there. Shippers guide can pretty much make me ship anything 😩
Btw does anyone know who draw the one where there is Stormpilot and Kylux in the snow?? :o
Marina Panda I believe it’s by fortuitous-fluke on Tumblr :)
YEAH!!! I found this ship while looking at the Reylo tag 😅
I like Kylux, but Reylux (ReyxKyloxHux) is probably my favourite.
I totally ship them. Thanks for the great video! ❤
I personally love these kind of ships where not many may like it because the characters "hate" each other. I get bashed for my ships sometimes, but I never care
Like I have 2 other ships like a lot that are love/hate. Tomtord from eddsworld and dramione from harry potter. And just like kylux, both these ships are love/hate, and I love these kinds of relationships because they are WAY more interesting than your cookie cutter "oh person a hangs around person b a lot and they're best friends and get along really well and they'd make a good relationship so I'm gonna ship it."
Oh, and like you said, yes, I did ship reylo at first.
Yes! Darth Tantrum and his Evil Space Ginger!!!
Kylux forever!!! And i love to read mpreg!hux
It’s true though. They can insist as much or as little as they want, it doesn’t make it any less true
It was the first movie of this trilogy I saw and it was pretty good. Though I'm strongly against how they handled StormPilot and how they kinda pushed rose and Finn to happen. It was hella weird
Nice. Sometime in the future you should look at a few of the Hamilton ships.
