Just wanted to say I'm so happy and inspired to see the additions to your channel such as your evangelical experience, finance video, and monthly favorites/skincare. I enjoy them all, and particularly applaud and appreciate your bravery to take on some of the more challenging topics. Thank you Jen.
You have worked damned hard, you deserve to do what you want, as you want, you serve as a wonderful example and I am friggin’ proud of what you have accomplished.
Just love how cognizant you are of the way things are. People still struggle and I love how you acknowledge that. You just blow me away with your work ethic, your viewpoints, your honesty, etc. I can't put into words all I'm trying to say, but you are one in a million! Thank you, thank you, thank you for being real.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
My husband & I put ourselves through university, most of it while we were working full time & had 2 small children. I came from a low income family. I’m an average student but I worked hard, and now make 6 figures. It is doable! We did our homework at the kitchen table with the kids for years!
As a waitress, it’s nice knowing that there are still some people that still know how to tip, much appreciated. I’ve worked in the food industry for 20 plus years, and some people will surprise you,
You should do a collab with Frugal Fit Mom; both cooking a recipe twice. One would be 'blow the budget' and the other 'budget'! You could get the family to do a taste test!
“Busted my ass my whole entire life” YASSSSS! I went through college the same way with no financial support. I started my MSN, got pregnant, and completed my MSN after having my child as well! It was so hard but can be done!
Ya know what ? I love your channel.. you are just so down to earth and relatable..and I really appreciate your humor. Blessings to you and your family ☺
I truly look up to you Jen! So many people are so quick to judge other's or hold themselves on a pedestal, you however seem just beyond down to earth and empathetic. I appreciate all the work you put out for us viewers. 🖤🖤
I understand about housekeeping help. I have not been able to get someone consistently since COVID/last year so whatever time and scope of work they will do, I jump on it. Enjoy your life, pay your money for whatever is important for you and your family. Never feel guilty about how you spend your money on the things and people that save you time and stress, it’s yours!
Gracious Connor looks EXACTLY like Adam back in the day. You looked so proud on your graduation day. I'm trying to finish my BS however I will say this last year has been even harder to keep momentum and stay motivated. Thanks for your videos, look forward to all of the things. I appreciate your motivational moments your include in your videos, I always pick up on that and I'm thankful. It's so beneficial for everyone to hear that we're not so different no matter our paths. 🙋🏾♀️
Quick comment about your "what I spend" video, Jen. Was listening to it while hubby was in other room. Towards end, he came out and asked who I was listening to because "wow, sounds like they really have it figured out". Think you've gained another fan, Jen! 😍
I love the old pics of you both! I also saw the video of what you spend in a week. You are one RUclipsr that I appreciate works SO hard and that comes across in your videos all the time. It’s ridiculous that anyone is complaining about how you earn more than them, they act like you’ve had an easy life getting to where you are now. I love your videos, they have given me something to look forward to most days in the past year, thank you 😊❤️
I make "mess o' fries" ... cook frozen fries as directed, then top with shredded cheese, green onions and bacon bits and/or pulled pork. Baked until bubbly. Eat with ranch. Delish!
I have been watching and enjoying your videos for a while, but I never felt like I really knew you until this video. Thank you very much for sharing your struggle with us, and for being a strong, determined person.
I think you are doing an amazing job with low sugar/ no sugar lifestyle. I'm diabetic and you have definitely inspired me to make better choices. Keep up the good work!😊
First time watching you on my TV instead of my phone and the quality was Incredible! Think I'll be watching you on the big screen from now on!!! Great content as usual ⭐
Having a meal plan has helped me eat healthier which can be difficult after a busy day at work. Thanks for the advice and meal prep ideas. Love the variety in what you post.
I enjoyed your spending video. You have things figured out at your age more than 99.99%. You have worked so hard against many odds, and you deserve to spend/budget your income the way you choose. You and Adam have worked together to have a nice home and a great life while caring for the present and future for your children (and while taking great care of Murphy :)))). The fact you are a generous tipper says everything about your character. Just keep doing what you are doing and enjoy all that you have created. xoxo
you are exactly right with your comments and I appreciate the example you are setting for your children that nothing is free and to have what you want you need to work hard for it.
It is so true that we are not victims of our circumstances - unless we allow it. We can always better ourselves in some way. Like you I’ve been all over the financial spectrum - and like you I busted my tail to better my situation. Often including working 2-3 jobs at a time. Gotta hustle. I appreciate your videos and willingness to put yourself out there. Keep going strong and brave!! 😊
Thank you for sharing I love all of your videos! I get so much motivation and I love that you are so real and down to earth about everything! I hope you have a great week!
Excited to hear that you have a 2nd what I spend in a week planned--started watching for the grocery hauls and meal plans but I like all the new videos too
I’m also a working mom with kids lunches to pack. You always give me good lunch ideas! I have about 20 mins for lunch and I think keeping baked potatoes in the fridge is a great idea.
Jen, you should try the Aveeno Oat Gel moisturizer if you like lighter moisturizers like that Clinique one. The texture is so different, but I love that it’s also soothing and light. I think you’d love it. I use Differin & I find it helps me tolerate retinoids better, and I’m thinking it would pair nicely with your CeraVe retinol too.
No matter what anybody says to you I'm proud of you you have done a good job I've been watching your RUclips throughout the whole time you are a beautiful person and I'm proud of who you become 🥰
Jen I loved your spending video!! I did notice you were a great tipper. You are a good generous person and you should be proud of your accomplishments that you have done with hard work. Love your ultra haul!! And can’t forget your beautiful Murphy!! Keep being the great person that you are!! Forgot to say totally agree with you nothing is easy in life!! Life is hard.
Your video about spending was so interesting! I tought it was really clear that this hasn’t always been possible for you. The fact that you talked about your property tax in this video was fun, that was one thing I really couldn’t understand. I live in Finland and our property tax is 250€ per year! A bit of a difference!
Thank you for sharing, Jen! Furry smooches to Murphy. (I completely get the Starbucks obsession. Love the coffee, the numerous accessories that I purchase, and probably don’t really need, and just the whole daily Starbucks experience in general, it all makes me so happy!) 🧡
You really inspire me. Thank you for the advise and sharing your story. You dont have to justify your expenses but I appreciate your explanation because it motivates me to keep going and work towards what I want. ❤
LOL- Yes, the Chicken Enchilada Suiza has been around a long time. I was thinking back and it was around in the mid 1990s. I hope Connor is feeling better!
I loved the spending video...I don't live a frugal life...I don't spend a lot either. But I do work very hard to give my daughter the life I can afford to give her. She has everything she needs. Some people may think sometimes little too much 🤫. I love how you buy the things you want to try and what your family needs. Beacuse that's what my family and I do. (My sisters) we relate to you. I love watching the budget meals. Or the easy meals...I would love too see your take on them.
Hey Jen and Murphy! I really appreciate the video about not living frugally. I don't live frugally..if I need something I need it..no one is perfect..and not everyone is debt free..I do agree it's become somewhat fashionable to strive to be debt free..which is awesome but not always realistic..
I live in a Midwest town I think is about the size of yours, maybe a bit larger, we have a Target. My cleaning lady is $30. an hour, don’t faint. I only have her for 2hrs once a month. I am 87, widowed, and I can do a lot, but heavy cleaning and high and low places I can’t do anymore so it’s worth it to me. Also she’s fantastic. Your nice tip shows you appreciate good service. Love your channel💕. Peggy
I really regret not furthering my education. Seeing what a difference it makes in promotions at work. Now I really see how it will affect my pension and social security. No extra for savings etc. Barely making it paycheck to paycheck and I have 2 years left to retire with a full pension without a penalty. But I was taking care of my mom and my son was having great difficulty at school plus working a full time job. I felt too exhausted to go back to school. Now living the consequences. But hey at least I have a pension. This is a good video for people in their careers to watch. Thank you for sharing. Love all your videos.
It was the beginning of the month too... I know my bills re heavier at the beginning of the month. Thank you for sharing. I also over tip when I csn cause I've been a waitress and I can't imagine what they've been through thus past year ❤️
Sorry to hear about Connors bike accident. My son had one a few months ago and ended up with a concussion and had to have stitches in the lip and gums even with the helmet. So glad that Connor is feeling okay!!
Have u tried the cilantro/egg hack yet?? I've tried yet with so many herbs and greens and works really well to preserve it for a long time. It's mind-blowing! I have always been a beauty junkie - both drugstore and Sephora/Ulta products. Always trying new products. My latest favorites are Glam Glow Glow Starter moisturizer. My other favorite is Josie Maran Face Butter/Body Butter and drizzle are all the Hydro Boost products the overnight moisturizer, and body gel cream.
I was feeling bad today but perked right up when I saw your video!! I always enjoy them. I ordered the Clinique moisturizer and love it. I had used it years ago. I also got the Neutrogena Hydro Boost lip balm and it’s great!! Thanks for always sharing amazing products! Now, go get the centipede!! Lol.
The mini-me's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW..don't apologize for those who can't watch the video and understand how your situation is different AND that you had some pretty major expenses that came out this particular week that most of us absorb into our escrow or are never actually seen in rent payments. AND you included deductions that add to the total and aren't actually spending. Yes, you're in a different place than many of us, but sheesh...why do some folks have to backhand that way?
I hope Conner is doing better. I like to get at Sam’s Club the whole grain and flax tortillas, is a 20 pack and the ingredients aren’t too bad, the brand is Santa Fe Tortilla Company😊
You have worked Very very hard and now you can enjoy the fruits of your labour. People commenting saying that you spend more in a week than they do in a month are just snarky and it’s unnecessary.
My sister lives in Cambodia and when we go to visit we eat dragon fruit everyday, it grows there everywhere and is very inexpensive. Just eat it plain, put it in the fridge to chill and enjoy.
So I usually never give unsolicited recipes out, lol, but I’ve made this breakfast meal prep for 2 weeks now and it’s so damn good that I had to share. I know you’re not a huge breakfast person... It’s called “Cheesy Baked Eggs” from “The Girl Who Ate Everything” blog. I bake it in a 9x13 pan and get 12 servings out of it. They keep great allllll week. You can half the added cheese with no big issue (but... why???).
We are recently debt free and it feels amazing but we did not live frugally when we had debt. I am trying to budget better now and try to not spend as much especially on groceries. But it is a process. I am a libra which may mean squat but my issue is balance...the scales either tip one way or the other. I can be a tight wad and be anal about saving or be a spendthrift and not budget at all. Trying to find a good balance.
It’s much easier for ppl who have money issues to point fingers and talk about how “it’s not fair,” or, “u spend too much,” at successful ppl - who have always put the work, worry, and effort into their living. If such ppl can complain and make the successful ppl feel guilty over their own effort, no one, including themselves, expect them to take any effort or steps to better their own circumstances, so they can stay victims. And the fact that you did it with no support and your own hard work, is salt! Congratulations! JMO.
Great video Jen. I know what you mean about product dates. I take a sharpie and write the date when I started using it so I know how long it last, especially with paper products as it is just me I can keep track how long things last, like Toilet Paper.
It’s just a gage so I know how long a dozen rolls will last for me so I can calculate when I will need to buy them again. It’s all about an individual budget as I am retired on a small pension and social security. Everyone has their own budget to stick to.
You are awesome! I enjoyed watching what you spent in a week, you and your husband have good jobs and you my dear work very hard and are a go getter. I think you are very kind and generous and I agree with you most of us are not frugal and debt free. Go get that centipede for Conner!!🤣🥰
I found dragon fruit recently. It was hot pink in color. I just sliced it and served it fresh sith dinner. I'd love to see what the inside of your yellow one looks like in one of your videos.
Just wanted to say I'm so happy and inspired to see the additions to your channel such as your evangelical experience, finance video, and monthly favorites/skincare. I enjoy them all, and particularly applaud and appreciate your bravery to take on some of the more challenging topics. Thank you Jen.
Amen! I thought that spending video was so brave, and I’m happy it’s gone over so well!

I am a tipper too. I even tip the drive thru people. I always get a smile.

You nerding out over the Starbucks cup and the Seattle trip was just adorable 😂 please never change 😂
I make "mess o' fries" ... cook frozen fries as directed, then top with shredded cheese, green onions and bacon bits and/or pulled pork. Baked until bubbly. Eat with ranch. Delish!
Thanks for your honesty. Your are such an inspirational and nice person. Love you.

Jen, you are such a boss lady and definitely a role model for this 23-year-old gal! Also I love that clinique moisturizer lol
I try and do better food choices too, but at the same time it's a balance. I think you are doing a great job! Appreciate you sharing honestly.

Dragon fruit is the base for pitaya bowls. You can freeze it or by frozen. Similar to acaii bowls
Or eat fresh / cut in slices

I love ibotta but have yet to try it with Walmart pickup. Thanks for the reminder. It’s got to be so much easier than going in store.
Who else was thinking of the Schitts Creek scene when Jen was talking about tax write offs? 😂😂😂
YES... I just saw that episode again the other day!
Good for you! You inspire me!!! 💖
Huge fan of the nut pods creamers!
It was the beginning of the month too... I know my bills re heavier at the beginning of the month. Thank you for sharing. I also over tip when I csn cause I've been a waitress and I can't imagine what they've been through thus past year ❤️
I buy that tahini too, but off Amazon. Trader Joe's is good too.
This haul is making me hungry!
Imperfect foods has the best bacon!
Sorry to hear about Connors bike accident. My son had one a few months ago and ended up with a concussion and had to have stitches in the lip and gums even with the helmet. So glad that Connor is feeling okay!!
Aww! Poor Connor! I hope he feels better soon!
Heh. I just watched Natalie Sideserf make a realistic Asparagus cake and it took a minute to come back from that 😂
Have you tried the 2Good yogurt?!?!? I am diabetic, but also can’t have aspartame. These yogurts are awesome.
When I saw the first picture of you and Adam, I said "Lord, look at Connor!" 🙂
Have u tried the cilantro/egg hack yet?? I've tried yet with so many herbs and greens and works really well to preserve it for a long time. It's mind-blowing!

The fries are the best! Love the Mermaid tail cup from Starbucks.
Jen you always bring the goods! I’m headed to Ulta’s website! Thanks for sharing.

Omg so happy.😊Have been looking forever now to find something to watch!
You’re doing great. Making a lot of good choices. “Long Mac and cheese” from time to time is a-ok!
That mug is everything! 😍
The mini-me's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jup, 3 am is def the right time to watch this. happy bean.
In SW PA, the only place I can find pineapple Spindrift (yum) is Target.
The Take the Day Off balm is amazing.
Air fryer baked potatoes, best baked potato I ever had so fluffy
I so need to try this!!!
I hope Conner is doing better. I like to get at Sam’s Club the whole grain and flax tortillas, is a 20 pack and the ingredients aren’t too bad, the brand is Santa Fe Tortilla Company😊
When the date fades out on jar, write the date with a marker on the lid or label, that’s what I do.
The pictures of you and Adam when you were younger are like looking at Keira and Connor. Holy cow! you each have a mini! Lol
I was going to comment the same thing!!
Completely agree!!!
I was thinking the exact same thing!!!!
I get the light and fit yogurt in strawberry cheesecake..soooooooo good with a little whipped cream.
Your food hauls make me so hungry!! 💗
Ditto on going back to Seattle...and Flagship Starbucks! Very neat vaca spot!
Sumo oranges are the best!! My mouth is literally watering! Haha
I would like to see your tahini dressing recipe.
How long do baked potatoes last in the fridge? I make them but throw them out after a day?
I went to the mall today and got clinique items and gift with purchase too. Fun stuff.
As a server who relies in tips to make a living wage , thank you!!! I wish more people had the mindset you do!
The PB pretzels are my fave!! I like them better than regular ones. Imperfect foods and Thrive carry them too.
*Alice really likes the Quinn PB pretzel nuggets! Jack wasn't a huge fan of them. We got them from Thrive!*
There’s Muscle Mac and Cheese which is higher protein! It’s really good!
You have worked Very very hard and now you can enjoy the fruits of your labour. People commenting saying that you spend more in a week than they do in a month are just snarky and it’s unnecessary.

Love hour haul and shirt! Would love to know where you got the shirt. :)
Jen what color and brand nail polish is it you were wearing .I love tge color .thanks

I do't know you personally but I am proud of you and your family's accomplishments.
You are awesome! I enjoyed watching what you spent in a week, you and your husband have good jobs and you my dear work very hard and are a go getter. I think you are very kind and generous and I agree with you most of us are not frugal and debt free. Go get that centipede for Conner!!🤣🥰
Your 5 layer bean dip is awesome with crackers. No tortilla chips necessary.
I found dragon fruit recently. It was hot pink in color. I just sliced it and served it fresh sith dinner. I'd love to see what the inside of your yellow one looks like in one of your videos.
